  1. I just got the number today... I was wondering what would be a speedy way to get the bill? I read some where that you can call them and get your email added. Can some one please shed some light on that? Do you know the number and what buttons you pressed to get a hold of the operator?

    Thanks in advance

Call the nvc at 603-334-0700 and talk to a rep. They'll ask for the email addresses themselves. best of prayers.

its sad that i have the nvc telephone number memorized and not my own cell phone. i am pathetic.

  2. Why are you sure you will get RFE?

I am planning to send my AOS and IV packets at the same time as well ...

I spoke to 6 different reps today and each of them gave me a different answer. The one that sounded the smartest told me that my case is very confusing, so I should send my docs in as fast as possible, and if nvc needs something, they'll ask for it".

It has to do with my co-sponsor, my uncle. He filled his tax returns jointly with his wife, and he has income from three of his businesses, but its all combined with his wife's. Its just very difficult to separate his and his wife's income. And, I dont believe the people at NVC to be very smart. So, lets see what happoens. haha

Hey, and I would suggest that you send 864 whenever its ready. Cuz it'll save time in case anything goes wrong. I hope it doesnt for you.

  3. I just got off the phone with NVC and NVC rep told me that My wife has to mail in a Hard copy of DS-3032.

I know several of us had their DS-3032 accepted via the email.

Should I send in a hard copy just to be on the safe side?

Hrad copies get accepted faster. It takes 2-3 days for hardcopies and about 7-10 days for email. So, whatever you think is best. I'd suggest you to be safe and send in both ways. best of prayers.

  4. I am reading over the DS-230 stuff and says that we need to submit the certified documents for husband as well as photocopy of those documents.

This will sound stupid, but do I send a photocopy and certified copy, or do I send a certified copy plus photocopy of the certified copy ? Hope this makes sense :)

If I am reading it correctly, I can do either or, but I was wondering how did you all do it?

    Thanks!

No, you dont have to send additional photocopies of the documents. I was confused about this too, and I called NVC three times...all three operators told me that the photocopies are not needed anymore. Best of prayers.

  5. wow, seems like NVC is being a witch to many of us.

I had problems with the online payment system. It showed me two invoices for IV fee after I had already paid one a day before. Then, a day later, they disappeared along with the one that I paid. Next day, the one that I paid came back with the status "PAID", but the cover letter was a blank page. A few hours later, the cover letter came on, but was all messed up and no bar code. Then, next day everything was fine. I printed the cover sheet, signed off and did not go back to that site again. haha

As far as my status is concerned, I am waiting on my 2008 IRS transcript cuz thats the only year's info i am sensding, and will mail my AOS, and IV packet together. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and quick.

Best of prayers for all of you too.

  6. Remo - I am updating my spreadsheet and was looking at your timeline - have you sent in your I864, I assume you have but you don't have dates in those fields.

No, I havent. I was planning on sending my I864 and IV package togethger. IV fee was generated today, and I paid it today. So, hopefully, I will send everything in by next week. I am waiting on the police certificate from my wife. Hopefully, she wouold have it by monday and I'd get it by friday. But, i'll keep my timeline updated promptly ;)

  7. I checked my status, and the NVC auto voice said, "waiting on return of biographical information from petitioner, will review paperwork and notify you of the outcome."

What is that mean exactly? I got a confirmation in the email last Wednesday that the AOS fee was paid. Are they waiting for the AOS package? But I already sent it and it was delivered to NVC last Tuesday. Maybe it hasn't been entered in the system yet?

biographic info seems more like ds230. I guess they're waiting for the ds230 form.

  8. if your I-130 is already approved, go with CR1. you will get a green card upon entry and save yourself over a thousand dollars for not having to go through adjustment of status.

Also, nvc doesnt take that long...you've already went through the longer wait (getting I130 approved). Use the shortcuts for getting through nvc and you should know of your interview date within a month.

    best of prayers.

  9. All new approvals, congratulations again!! I have a question for all of you! Please answer it. Do you see any updates/touches online. And what does your case status says online after approval?? Please Reply!

This is what the online status says for me:

I had a touch on the 27th of February, and nothing changed on this online status ever since I received my noa1.

  10. Most of us have already received our noa1. And, we have around 3 months till noa2. I think we should start working on the needed documents for the NVC process. I have already started reading up on the guide . Is anyone else researching this stuff too?

Over the weekend, I will start posting a review of the guide in a simple manner so that we can all start this process together and answer questions that we may have along the way. Best of prayers for everyone.

  11. My goal is to have a good enough credit rating so that starting in 2010, if i so wished i can access school loans, car payments, and eventually in a few years a mortgage on a house for my Wife and I.

school loans are need-based and on a first-come-first-serve basis. They dont require a credit history. Apply through FAFSA as soon as you get admitted to a school, and thats all you would need for school related expenses.

As far as building credit is concerned, bank of america's secured card is the best option to start. But, dont ever be late on payments or going over the limit. The best way is to spend only a little through the credit card and paying it all off end of the month. After about six months, you would qualify to apply for an unsecured card. Also, dont apply for too many cards because that actually hurts the credit history.

  12. hi

our file fr cr1 on 02/02/09 got transferred to csc from vsc....anyone else had the same happen

from looking atthe forum some have and already had they file approved in csc....

any info or help would be good

    thanks

The exact same thing happened to a friend of mine. He was filling (and is still in the process) through a lawyer for a cr1 too. He asked the lawyer about it and the lawyer replied him with a congratulations and told him that his case will get approved a couple of months faster now.

So, it can be a good thing.
