  1. Bajih, I am so glad things are going well for you!

Sharifah, I bet you can't wait!

I'm just enjoying the beautiful weather we have here and procrastinating on studying for a test next week.

Take it easy everyone and prayers to those who are waiting!

  2. During that time, it's not going to be that cheap... I always buy from the carrier as it seems to be less risky and also on the cheap side. I agree with vanessa about the cookies thing too. I prefer one stop and with children, that might be the best. I use Delta (who is partners with RAM). However Air France or British Airways might have good deals. Also make sure you know how luggage works because these days the luggage policies seem to always be changing. Good Luck!

  3. Beth, you're alive! Haha I'm glad things are going semi well and I hope you have the bestest birthday EVER!!! Take care <3

today I'm just doing the homework I have been procrastinating on and hubby will be playing soccer with the guys so the house will be peace and quiet lol

  4. Hazel,

Before you get too far in the process of marrying your fiance in Morocco, have you considered applying for a fiance visa instead? The process usually takes MUCH less time and is considerably less complicated.

My husband and I also first thought about marrying in Morocco, but thankfully found out about the fiance visa before we got married. He was here in the US about 6 months after we applied.

    Good luck with your decisions.

    Carolyn

I disagree. You have less of a chance being denied, the waiting time is about the same ( I waited 7 months) and is less cheaper and stressful in the long run. All you have to do is make sure you can prove to the Casa embassy because everyone knows how tough they are.

  5. Hello everyone:

I am an American and I am going to Morocco to marry my Moroccan boyfriend this year. Can anyone tell me how much it will cost for the following things:

1 - To obtain a medical certificate of good health from a doctor in Morocco.

2 - To have all documents translated to Arabic.

3 - To have all documents certify by the Government of Morocco.

Any information that anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hazel

Not going to be much help because

1-I got the medical for free from my aunt

2-I got 1/2 off of the translation but still paid 500 DH I think

3-The certification I got from the US embassy was 600 DH I think

    Look at this website:

    http://casablanca.usconsulate.gov/marriage_requirements.html

There are other threads where this has been discussed...good luck and congrats!

  6. Have a Subaru right now and love it!

Next purchase most likely Mazda, Acura, Subaru, or Nissan

Thought about a Toyota until the recent ordeal

Looking for a car for my hubby so thanks for the post, I look forward to other's opinions!

  7. May Allah guide her inshallah. Mabrook Amy on the baby girl! Sorry, I don't have much to say about the naming cuz in Morocco they do just two names formally but when talking about someone might say bint..wild...etc. I don't think there is anything said Islamically. If you want several names, I would go with her first name, your husband's and stop with her grandfathers. Name, Grandfathers name, husbands name, last name. IDK good luck, others inshallah will have a better response!

  8. It is soooooo cool.:thumbs:

I'm not pregnant nor do I have a child but, I get the William Sonoma catalogue and saw this in it and had to cut it out and save it to remind me to buy it when I have a baby inshallah. There is baby food that is organic with no additives, etc. but for some women it gives them the peace of mind and the thought that "I'm a good mother" if they know what is going in their baby's food.
