  1. Q1: Easily explain.

Q3: confusing, just show the bills/phone records, in an order that easy for them to sort it out. Yes, they can dig up information on you, they are the FREAKING US Government and the VN government has little to nothing interest in protecting your fiance's privacy since VN doesn't really have that privacy/personal concept, it's a commie/police state after all... So they can give up your vital information just as easy as it collect it. Your answers look OK!

Q2: I'm gonna try to think like a C.O. on this one (please don't hate :) just want to give you some crazy thinking they could have had during the process of reviewing your case) Key here is: Think like a CO when it comes to preparing for an interview...

"I think you and her sister could be something more than just socially acquaintances, know each other 9 years and never mentions to you she has a hot sister that potentially could be introduced to you as a wife?

Who asks if you two were lovers therefore you shouldn't be expected to remember the date/time you two first met?

I have much doubt about your relationship and the beni's sister, I'm not feeling all good about this...

Beni didn't answer the questions in a way that convinced me She knows you well!

Beni could have said "8 or 9 years ago, then became friends in the past 3 years, then my sister introduce him to me", give me something in chronological order would be helpful!

So I just gonna deny it and let them sort it out, rather risk granting a Visa then later find out something else!

Oh well, I need to move on to the next case or else my case-load will be overloaded. DENIED!"

One thing you did right: contacted M.E. :) So just hang in there brother.... It's just a "flat-tire" on this part of the "journey", you'll get new tire, change it, and keep on going to your destination (the Visa). Don't lose your focus!

    Cheers,

    Chuck and Kim

  2. Yes, DPNH, he did a lousy job of presenting his "love story" to the C.O., his evidence is full of contradiction and holes to fill, so he got denied. Anyone would know that if they spend enough time on this board reading posts after posts. No need to yell at the guy... Ever thought, how fortunate we all were to find VJ before or after we file our case... we would have made ALL those mistakes he did? I know I have made a bunch of rookie mistakes during this journey but with help from the brothers/sisters on this board, things got straighten out without too much pain and suffer :)

Andy777, I don't know your case, but the decision to refile is yours to make. I wrote a piece to your post last night but never posted. Regarding your situation, wait for the file to come back to USCIS. In the mean time, one way you can do is to contact your Congressman/woman, Senators, and ask for HELP or assistance. Most congressman/woman, you'll be surprised, would be eager to have their staff to assist their constituins with their immigration matters... :) Don't give up yet, I think your case can be reinstated if you get some help and guidance.

  3. Echo what Thai Rath said... your 1040 and W-2 for 2008 would do. Paystubs: can you produce at least 3 months worth (around 6 paystubs total if you're paid bi-weekly) or print your bankstatement for 3 months, highlighted the part where your company directly deposited the wages into your account.... Remember: You can't give them what you don't have, physically! So, give them the next best thing you can produce. They aren't all that robotic insensitive government workers :)

Wishing you a successful interview... keep us posted.

  4. Could someone give Needhelp the name/address of the other Med-Exam center near HCMC? Somewhere down the street from "Le Duan" Ave. I don't remember exactly what they call it but it's staffed by international physician or US nurses... Don't ever take your wife to Cho Ray Hospital, it's a disgrace and an embarrassing eye sore to the VN nation.

I'm sorry you have to go through this mess and got a negative feeling toward VN but this too shall pass brother... Not worry, worse case scenario they will ask her to redo the VAC record. Remember, VAC and Med exam is only a piece of the puzzle here, they could make your life a living hell if they choose to, so hang in there... more to come, just prepare for the worst and hope for the best!

    love,

    chuck and kim

  5. Big Brother, I believe you always knew that "big picture" concept, just needed a little reminder at the time you were so kicked by HCMC :)

Dai_VN: say "i make love" is beautiful :) i think someone once said to the C.O. at the interview "you want me to consummate my marriage right here on your desk to prove my case? Then you can give me the damn Visa now?" Of course, he got kicked out of the booth with a Blue slip.

b_week: NO PORN???? Could it be by accident ;) some of the hot and sizzle photos got mixed up in the pile of evidence? ;) But yes, paint the picture you would like or want to convince the C.O. to have in their mind and form an informed opinion toward your case, your file and your fiance/S.O., ultimately it's the Visa that you want and it's the warm and fuzzy feeling that the C.O. wants to get from speaking/interviewing your fiance before they issue that PINK slip!

You're guys are cracking me up today....

    Love,

    Chuck and Kim

  6. Oh Joe,

Now I feel bad!!!! For the vietnamese students who pay to learn how to speak/read/write proper English from someone who call himself Joe-Six-Pack. Try to handle a civilize conversation seems to be impossible, they must utilize profanity to relay their thoughts (F words, Sh!thead) and insert insulting words to defend their point. Weak!

Since when this board becomes a place for trashing? Since when we give ourselves the authority over others because we have more dots and those red-hearts? Those dots and hearts are meaningless in my opinions, useless posts just make you a post-#######.

    Jack and Xuan

Note how Joe edit his original post since yesterday... Think twice, post once! Nothing wrong with you or me or anyone asking question that related to our situation. What you wondered was legit, the bike license is for YOU, not your illiterite Vietnamese BIL who lives all his live in VN. Get real!!! A Vietnamese who live in VN ask a foreigner how to conduct business in his own country???? Weird!

But this guy Joe missed the point, and i can't blame him, since he got many dots and hearts next to his name as if those are badge of honor of some sort... nice!!!! I got less hearts and dots... like most of people... therefore I can't express my disagreement with Joe... Woopdeedoo!!!! However, crowded the board with irrelevances that's a difference story!

The tittle of this thread totally misled the reader. Should have said:

    1. How to buy a CDL for illiterit VN man in Vietnam! Not For Me!

    2. The Blind leads a blind! - Not for me!

    3. CDL Wanted in VN - Not for me!

Await for more profinity and insult from an English Teacher!!!!!

  7. Actually, nobody minds to help out a fellow VJ who in need of assistance with Visa/Immigration/Passport related issues. Not a foreign concept, still hold truth!

Turn this website to your personal career consultant is weird, especially in this situation. An Viet boy from VN asking for help from an amercan boy on an English speaking forum about an issue which applied only to Vietnam national.

Still weird Joe, you ask what you want, and you get whatever answer people feel like expressing!

    O.K. Chuck, whatever.

I rest my case. Please click on the link below.

I guess Chuck was right.

    You want FRIES with that?

  10. I'm trying to contact the Passport Service Center. Applied a passport for our baby (10 months old) since Feb 27, the day they received the application, not the mailing date.

They say normally it takes up to 3 weeks to complete. It's been 5 weeks. I've been calling the 1.877.487.2778 number and put on hold for 30 mins at time until I couldn't wait any more. Their http://travel.state.gov website has been down for maintainance for the past week.

My wife, daughter and I will travel to Saigon in May and need to get the little girl's passport ready for Vietnam Visa (need 2 weeks).

Anyone knows a way to contact them (Passport Service Center) to obtain information on this issue, please help!

I tried the 1.877.487.2778 and the website http://travel.state.gov without success.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

  11. Hello all,

Kim and I are blessed with a little girl this past year. Now, it's time to go back to Saigon so the grandparents can pinch and kiss those chubby cheeks of her, webcam/photos can't satisfy the folks back in Saigon. Basically, tickets are booked, issued (printed). Waiting for the little one's passport to arrive from the State Dept, the obtain Visa for her. Getting the passport for our daughter was quite interestíng! Need to go to Sears Photos Studio for this "Passport Photo" which approved by State Dept. Try to do that by yourself at home, it's quite impossible since our daughter will not sit still :) Got that DONE. Went back to the Post Office, fill out forms and pay the fees. Swearing in! Done! Should have the Passport in 2 weeks ???? Nope, it's now the 4th weeks and counting. I checked my bank account yesterday, the State Dept cashed our check for the passport fee last tuesday... yeah!!!!

So here is the question for all you who are blessed with child, how easy/difficult it was to travel to VN with a little one? Share your experience, departure, in-flight, meals, baby crying, foods, sleeping, connection flights, arrival to and from. What can and cannot be brought on board. To be specific, we flight Korean Air. Stroller/Car seat's situation???

Please share and we thank you in advance!

They usually let you check in strollers when boarding, so you don't have to carry the little one through the airport.

    Kevin and Tuyen,

Thanks for your reply.... My stroller comes with a travel system (stroller+carseat) Will that count as one piece?
