Flying out 4th June, married 11th June. Anyone free in Vegas that weekend?!
-
It's a nightmare!
It's even encouraging me to go to work early and stay late!
-
Not been about for a few weeks, so what have I missed?! Hope all's well and there are plenty more visa granted updates for me to catch up on?
Oh, and for the record, moving back to live with your parents is not fun. At all.
Still, repeat the mantra.....only 6 more weeks, only 6 more weeks

Haha
Think you'll be alright still
If we had a manager then I would maybe agree. Sadly right now its like watching a train wreck. When you look at the fixtures we have left. I can't see us winning 4 of those games.
$24.95 for an England match? You've got to be joking! I'll watch the free live footy stream.
You'll be fine. You've got to play us yet for a start.
I find it hard to be motivated to watch England games on tv here, no way i'd pay money to do so!

Used to enjoy a few nuky broons before the Toon games. Not quite the same when the games start at 9am or 6am.
I miss being able to go with my old man to the games. He's a moaning old git no matter how well we do, but yeah I miss that.
Need to start looking into Setanta for next season. Do they show championship games often?
Haha

Do do do dooooooooooo, dancey dancey
aww. thats a nice song!
congratulations, pauamanda!
If that was for me, rather than pauamanda, this is where it's from....
Beware, not for the faint hearted - about 2 mins 50 in

um? pothergavel. THAT IS THE GREATEST THING EVER!
let me tell you why:
1. i support tottenham (or i did until my boys all went to man u, who i also kinda like because being american i dont have to just pick one. and i spend a lot of time in manchester.) i love the fighting chickens as i call them.
2. robbie keane. awww. the big baby.
3. BERBATOV. i cant resist a man in an alice band (no, seriously i cant. here is photographic evidence-->)
jamie channeling bjorn borg.
4. i think that jose mourhinio is one-well dressed man.
5. those two guys were very funny. and the do ddoooo doo dancey dancey? should be the official song of apprrovals.
thanks for the link. : D
ps. im making this small font because its so horribly off-topic. <shame>
1. Tottenham are the greatest team the world has ever seen. Whilst not factually correct, it's not far off. My Grandad decided in 1921 and that was that.
2. I agree.
3. Who? He's dead to me. Have a bit of Vedran Corluka instead
4. Yeah, he is.
5. It's the fans commentary on sky. You can find lots of them on youtube. I am on there (pothergavel) and have some good Tottenham videos on there if you fancy

so has it arrived yet?
Yep, sorry.
Was there at 11. I was looking out for a big van with SMS on the side, instead an old Skoda turned up and a guy got out in jeans and tshirt - no ID required.
Thought the line of dancing banana's was enough of a hint Apologies
Yeah! Congratulations
the bananas would probably have sufficed for most people but my brain doesn't switch on properly till my 3rd cup of copy and I think I was still on my first then
Yeah, cups of copy usually help me out too
(I take it that post was after cup 2? )
No that was the third cup, I just do word substitution at times till after the 4th cup
Haha

Days like Saturday are going to be sorely missed after the great move.
It's so quiet, it's so quiet, it's so quiet over there........
Ohhhhh, when the spuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssssss *jazz hands tastic*
Plenty of football on tv here
Unfortunately it's not quite the same as being there with your old man but i'm sure I can find most games either on tv or the interweb.
There's also the slight issue of the time difference. Where I am it's 6 hours, so 12 noon KOs in the UK become 6am jobs stateside, the 4pms become 10ams and so on - tedious.
8 hours on the West Coast

Haha, I was upset that the guy didn't look half smart, check my ID or have a decent vehicle. Where's the £15 spent at SMS eh?!

Sorry, trying to do this on my iPod and failing miserably it seems. Can you add me as just approved now? Would be lovely to see it written in red up there with everyone else!
Thank you!!!

My plan at the moment (not that my boss knows this yet) is leave at the end of this contract (the end of May), then moving over asap early June. Married in Vegas (oh yes!) hopefully the second or third weekends of that month, and before my birthday on the 16th!

Right, well i've been mulling this over for the last hour........
I've had the text from the couriers - it's coming tomorrow.
Didn't know if it would be tempting fate or not by revealing this info, but as I haven't heard anything from the doctors or the embassy, then I am sincerely hoping that this is the visa arriving. They did say pending the results of the medical, so fingers crossed.
No internet at the parents (where it's being delivered), but hopefully this time tomorrow-ish, I shall be approved without conditions.
Awesome! Here's to hoping that the conditions will be removed and you'll have your visa all good to go!
Magpie.
Well it was all dependent on the medical. And i've not heard anything from them. Am super nervous now!!

Flares and Broad Street i'd imagine
Personally i'd go fown the Academy route, but whatever tickles your fancy
I imagine Broad St will feature in the itinery at some stage, yes.
Is it still Flares, or is it Reflex now?
Either way, you'll be walking in a sine wave up and down Broad Street i'm sure
To be pefectly honest, I don't know - I've only ever been out there once! And that was the Superbowl party at the Sports Cafe. It's not really my kind of thing, tbh; I much prefer either a live music (preferably rock music) bar, or quiet country pubs. At my age, I feel (and look) like somebody's Uncle in most of the bars on Broad St! But the folks I work with seem to like it, and it is central (making getting home easier for most) so I'll prolly end up there.
If it's Friday night, then I would do the academy. Used to go there quite a bit, and it was a cracking, cheap night - loads of students but a good effort. Indie/rock/etc.

That must be Upper Berkeley Street! I lived there just before my husband and I moved in together. Yes, plenty of B&Bs on that street. The Ibis and Travelodge are also good ideas and are an easy commute if you stay in Zone 1.
Thats it......Upper Berkeley Street!
According to a guy I talked to at the interview, there is a Traveloge near the station you can get for £29 if you book in advance.i hope it wasn't the one in marylebone. that was where i stayed and it was close but pretty bad.
I've no idea, but for £29 you can't go wrong regardless

Blimey, coming around quickly
Tell me about it!!! Seems like just a heartbeat ago I was leaving the embassy after approval. Last week at work, then one very messy weekend in Brum, then away we go!
im curious as to what a 'messy weekend' entails?
Use your imagination, luv.
