MY HUSBAND PASSED HIS INTERVIEW!!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance: :dance:

His appointment was at 1:00. We went in around 12:15, he got called at 12:25. He went in took oath and was asked 6 questions(will list at the end) and was asked to write a sentence. Afterwards the lady went over the N400 and asked for his tax returns or tax transcripts. She asked for my passport as proof that i am a USC for past 3 years, she ask for his green card and ID. and she asked for proof that we are still married. my husband had numerous documents (insurance, letters with same name and address, car loan, home loan, etc. When she saw my sons birth certificate she was like I AM SATISFIED NOW THAT YOU GUYS ARE MARRIED. After that she just gave him a slip which said "Approved" and then we waited about 2hours in the waiting room for the oath letter which is next Wednesday August 29th. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!!

DrVS- that's what I was wondering as well, why would we need a current passport I'd we are becoming naturalized?. I read online somewhere and wanted to be sure.

Hi everyone! I had a quick question regarding the current passport. At the time of interview should our current passport be valid for 6 months? I read somewhere a long time ago and I'm not sure if I read regarding citizenship. My husbands current passport expires in October and hopefully we will get an interview date before that.

Please let me know if you know the answer to my question.

Which box should be selected ?

Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested?

Have you ever been arrested, cited, or detained by any law enforcement officer for any reason?

Traffic and moving violations are not a deal breaker provided there were no criminal charges brought to the driver as a consequence of the offense, I.e. nobody got hurt or killed b y your husband while he was driving over the speed limit.

The best you can do is bring it up at the top of the interview and correct the form before the interviewer I'd deemed necessary.

my husband got a ticket for speeding but that was taken care of by defensive driving. We were told it wouldnt be on the driving record. We have already sent our packet in, when filling the form we didnt think we should check any box. but i just wanted to get your opinion on it.

I signed up for e-mail updates on all my cases, so they e-mail me. I know you can also sign up for text message updates if you want.

Whenever I try to sign up my case or go to check my case status it says "Receipt Number is not 13 characters long"

Did anyone else have this problem??

We received our Biometric notice on June 9th. I am commenting using my phone so can't add myself to list.

Biometric is scheduled for June 25th but we will try doing it early.

Does it matter if we do it a few weeks early? Will they look at ur case once u do ur biometric or once your bio date is scheduled?
