  1. I was wondering if there were any people that were still waiting for approval like me! I was transferred to CSC in Jan, and still nothing yet. I will try the NVC AVR, although I doubt it will tell me anything different--but it's something different to try! You never know right? Hope everyone is approved soon though!

try call the AVR... there might be a surprise for you too like it happened to me this morning!!! Good luck!

His wifey you are so lucky nothing here yet. I called nvc and nothing :(

  2. Nothing here, I check every day USCIS. NO touch no update no nothing. I am trying to stay positive and not be impatient but who knows only the lord does.

    May May,

You're very close, you should get it by next week. Sadly, VSC has been very slow since last two weeks slowing down everything from NOA1, NOA2, to NVC.

    Good luck :)

May the lord hear you, Champi how are you so positive I will hear something next week. I am so nervous everyday when I open my email. I will be going next week to visit my love, so that will be the greatest to check my e-mail there with him and have the approval notice.

  3. Ilana,

Try to do a little bit more research and find out how long the US embassy in the DR is taking to approve CR1 visas. Yes, it's true that K3 visas can take just as long as CR1s for most people and are more expensive, but the DR is a special case since I've heard that CR1 visas can take over 3 years for some people. This is due to the amount of people waiting for an interview at the embassy.

Try to see if you can contact the US embassy there to find out an estimate of how long it may be for each visa (CR1 or K3) and then make your decision based on that.

Thanks Diana, I will try to call them tomorrow. So your saying to call the US embassy in DR directly? Will I even get to speak to someone you think?

I just file the I-130 as well for my husband in Dominican Republic and am contemplating the I-129F. Were you able to call the embassy in Santo Domingo? and if so can you share what they said?
