He got his social security card today Jan 22, 2010, extactly 7 weeks from the day we applied Dec 4, 2009

Still waiting for the social security card

My husband got his Green Card but no Socail Security card.... I think should call them... to see what the hold up is it's been 6 weeks now

It took us 4 weeks. The day he applied they told him it would take four weeks and it came right on the day they said it would.

Ok nice!!! I think maybe because of the new year it might of been delayed...

My Hubby came to the USA Dec 3, 2009 as CR1 we applied for his social security card on Dec 4, and they gave us a letter saying it could take up to 4 weeks for them to verify his information, We are still waiting how long should it usually take it???

It's been 3 months for us and still no sign of the NOA2.

If you filed for the CR-1/IR-1 -- how long did yours take? Just so that those of us waiting can garner some hope on specific days.

Such as Day 91. Or Day 120.

Filed Oct 24. 2008, approved June 22, 2009 it took 8 months

What is your wife's name?

Where does she work?

Where does she live?

How did you get married?

they didn't ask for any wedding pictures. emails, phone logs, or tax papers.....

My hubby had his interview nov 19 and he passed he will recieve his visa in 7 days!!! I am so happy

My wife's interview was originally on 23rd Nov but due to current situation in Islamabad, Pakistan, they rescheduled it for Dec 10th. However, they told us that they won't send us any confirmation letter and she will have to take the original letter (which has interview date of 23rd).. so just wanted to know if embassy will be sending us a new appointment letter...has anyone gone through the same experience ? Please advise..Thanks!!

Email them and they tell them you need something to verify the interview date change.....

Yeah, my wife's interview has been rescheduled twice now. She was suppose to interview on the 26th of Oct, got rescheduled for the 23rd of Nov and now 14th of Dec. This is not good but what can you do. I 've been trying to contact the embassy but can't get through. Whenever I send an email I get a automated " FAQ's" reply. I called american express and they said to use the same letter. Its strange but true.

hey when i get home i will pm you the email u need to write to i emailed the pakistani embassy 6 times until they finally wrote back to me i have 3 emails addrresses and everytime i email them they email me back...

email them to confirm the interview.... and they will say it is confirmed and to bring this email to prove it...

I was sitting at the airport waiting for my flight in tears after getting married and leaving pakistan and my hubby behind some old lady came over and asked me where are you going?? I said home I just got married she said why isn't your husband coming with you??? She told me that since I am a US citizen I just need to show my passport to the pakistan embassy and bring my hubby to the USA i was like ok lady lolz

Hey everyone. I called the DOS for the first time today. I spoke to a lady named Dana. She was very nice and everything I asked her she just kept saying "Sure, let me check. Sure let me check" And was very pleasant. Anyhow.. she said that the slips don't really matter and vary from case to case. She said there is nothing wrong with our case and that it is just pending Administrative Processing and that we should hear a call from the Embassy when visa is ready. I know its the same thing we already knew, but hearing it from her made it feel better. We called the embassy earlier today too, and they said yes our case is approved and that we don't need to have a blue, green, pink, or white colored slip. If they told us they would call, they will. So, he just said that we are in AP and expect it to be about 6-8wks. Thats better than nothing. Wish us luck people and pray for us. We went to Imam Sahib Darbar last night and asked for help with this. And also for the baby, of course. LoL. So.. good luck to you all and take care.

I haven't heard anything. But if I were you I would ask the embassy about it directly. Call them at 92-51-208-2700. That is the best thing. Yes.. I have heard that people who's interview date is the 23rd have been rescheduled. Maybe it has to do with Thanksgiving? Remember, they are closed on US and Pakistani holidays.

So in other words, "Good things come to those who wait."

I thought it was funny i got that fortune the day they delayed my husbands interview date..

When I read it I felt it's about having patience. getting a egg today you cook and eat it and it's done, but if you wait tomorrow for a hen you will be able to get more eggs in the future if u have a little patience...

It's really unfair how they jerk us around in the immigration process first it was the USCIS , then the NVC now the Embassy.

It's not fair for anyone, I had to contact a senator because the USCIS kept asking me to wait for an approval once the sentaor was contacted my husband got an approval after 3 days oct 24, 2008 i files a peption approved jun 22, 2009.... Then when my husband's case was approved the NVC started to take forever with the case they kept saying my and my husband's marriage cert was not orginal( it was the orginal!!!), and i had to talk to 6 different people until my case was complete at NVC. Then it took the NVC 8 days to send my husband's case to embassy, case was complete in aug interview date was not given until oct, after all the they shut down the embassy and now my husband's interview is nov 19,

I still upset about this but can't do anything but wait, once my husband is in the USA i vowed i will complain and make it big deal and known how difficult immigration process is... I am a US citizen born and raised in the USA and they treat us like trash and don't care...

My husband's date for interview has changed from oct 28 to nov 19 isn't Pakistan lovely

Why did it change?

They said because of security issues...

I am wondering if anyone knows how flexible the islamabad embassy is regarding setting a date for interview? I want to be there with my fiance at the interview and depending on when they set the interview it may not happen when i am around. if anyone has any experience in this please let me know how it went. I don't want to re-schedule if it will cause problems.
