  1. I'm not posting recently and this thread caught my attention. I met my husband October 2007 via match.com and we're almost 5 years married now and everything is doing well. It doesn't matter if the couple met online or not, the important thing is their compatibility and how they deal with their day to day life. Difference in culture is not a big deal to us (maturity is the key to successful relationship). Trust and love should go together regardless what race you belong...

  3. Finally after 36 days I got the re-issue of my passport. They said that they cannot help me with the damaged CON and I just have to send a letter to USPS Consumer Affairs (which my husband said it's next to impossible that they will help us). I am still waiting for the result of my I-912 for the waiver fee for the replacement of my CON (that's my last hope). If they will deny us then I don't think I will pay for the $345 replacement of my CON. We're broke already with all the immigration process and fees. Good luck to everyone still waiting for their passport. To God be the Glory!!!

  4. Can I ask anyone who had their CON back after applying for their passport. Was the sender's address Arizona or from Connecticut. The reason why I am asking this is I want to know if all of our applications went to Connecticut passport Agency as the 1800 agents from the Passport Information Agency was telling me. Because up to now there is no update of the replacement of my lost passport with my mangled CON. They were telling me that the CON came from Arizona and the passport from Connecticut. That explains why they said I should have received 3 separate envelopes wherein I received just two. It was still an unsolved mystery why my CON and passport were together. They said it was impossible... I told the lady was there some kind of a magic why the CON and passport were together in one package. Please reply if you happen to read this because I am still waiting for any news about the replacement I applied more than 2 weeks ago. I also applied for the passport card and I received it in good condition. Thanks in advance...

  5. You're lucky Sheila because yours was just folded. Mine was completely damaged. No news about the replacement of my passport from DOS that the lady from the post office sent. I was very unlucky because normally the CON and the passport are not together in one package, in my case they sent it together. Talking about misfortune, now my nightmare isn't over yet, I am applying for the I-545 which is the replacement of my CON. And what if the USPS ruin it again, the saddest part is the USPS said they can't do anything about it....

  6. Got my Social Security updated today. New card arrived this afternoon. No news about the replacement of my passport that was ruined by the USPS machine. Will be mailing the I-545 for the replacement of my ruined CON (again by the USPS). Hope everything will come back to me in good condition for the 2nd time (no one knows when).

  7. They put my passport in the same package as my CON and it was destroyed when I received it yesterday. So I filed for a replacement (with the help of the lady in the post office) I think it was DS-86. And I proceeded to USCIS to show what happened to my CON and asked if it is still valid (it was mutilated). The lady said we can apply for I-912P for a fee waiver because we are already broke paying all the immigration fees. And we will try that route, hopefully they will approve us... The post office cannot help us with the damaged CON (very frustrating)...

  8. Thank you very much for your responses. I appreciate it, I call the USPS and they gave me the the 1800 number and then when I call they said it's not in their hands anymore and it's the fault of the USPS. So I guess I have to file N-545 for the replacement. I am still in shock up to now. I am praying that the passport book is not included in that mutilated package. At least I will not re-apply for my passport...

  9. Anyone who can give me any advice please. I received my Certificate of Naturalization from the mail completely mutilated (2 hours ago). My husband and I rushed to the post office to complain but the lady in-charge of passport wasn't there. And. also I am not sure if the passport book is in the same package. Is is possible that my passport book is there also or they sent it in a different packet? I need any advice that you can give. I applied for passport card and I received it yesterday. For the replacement of the CON it will cost me $345 and another hassle. This is the best birthday gift that I ever received, I can't helped it I really cried in the post office. With all the waiting and frustrations with the process, this is what I'm getting. Please I need your sensible advice on this matter. Thank you very much in advance to anyone who can give me any input...

  10. I check my status today and this is what it says:

On October 7, 2011, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our PROVIDENCE, RI location. .

Any idea what is this all about... I did not receive any request for evidence (RFE) notice and now they will say that they receive something for me...

  11. Hi Mae! I was born in Lopez, Quezon and graduated in college at Far Eastern University Recto (ano ba yan sinasabi ko na resume ko). I lived with my kids in Dasmarinas Cavite where I bought my house before I came here. Nice to meet you here at VJ. I'm still waiting for my approval letter, (nakakapagod maghintay ng mailman everyday). Regards,,,

  12. If there is an oath every Friday I'm just wondering why my IO said that probably my oath will be November. When I had my interview there were not enough people in the building. I thought that their office is not so busy... I just look at the website again and there's no change in my status... Hopefully I will receive something when our mailman arrives. Thanks for replying to my queries...

  13. Yes! I had my interview last Sept. 15 in Johnston, they said I was approved but they can't make a decision yet because my 3rd yr. anniversary was last Oct. 2. So now it's Oct. 4 already and there's no notification in the website yet. Did you receive anything from the mail yet? Do you have an idea when they have the oath taking in RI? The male IO who interviewed me said that it will probably be sometime in November. How about you?

  14. After how many days of looking at the mailbox and always waiting for our mailwoman FINALLY my green card arrived just 5 minutes ago. To GOD be the glory!!! Congratulations to all approved recently and good luck to all who are still waiting. Don't lose hope, God will do the rest. See you next year for the filing of the citizenship, I'm not sure if I'm right the N-400. I will just be around posting from time to time.

  15. Finally I got something online when I check my number, it says that card production was ordered. We assumed that I was approved yesterday September 15. Thanks God!!! I have to wait for my card in the mail. Good luck to all those who are waiting. Just to let you know I did not get any of those touches since I filed this process. I guess everyone's case is different.
