  1. I see you like the second-hand stores. There are so many of those around! Oh and here's a tip for you. Too many drivers down here don't understand the meaning of a red light. So when you're at an intersection, and your light turns green, LOOK before you go. I've had more than a few close calls.

You are also a maniac when you drive girlscout, I have first hand knowledge, you are right up there with your brother Farid. (L):P:dance:

  2. Danile, I dont post very much anymore but I want you to know that you can do absolutely everything right and still end up with a heartbreaking result. I know now looking back that I should not have brought a substantially younger and very uneducated man here to the US because I ended up supporting him for 3 years. He ended up emotionally leveling me and physically destroying me. As much as I wanted to blame him, it was my fault for sponsoring him to the US. He showed me ample signs when he was overseas that he was not really full of good character but often its so hard to get the person here, that we want to overlook things they did along the way. You have to find a way to forgive yourself and understand that as much as it hurts to be used, it sometimes messes up the mena persons mind to pretend to love someone they dont to get something. They often tell the people from back home they meet that they are in a fake marriage and the longer they stay in it the more stupid they look ( hence the whole you ruined my life thing) Yes other people have been through what you have been through. There are women who in 2007 had the world by the feet and are now foreclosed on 3 years later because they brought someone over here who couldnt carry their weight in a failing economy. I literally know one girl who brought a guy over here from Algeria and as the economy tanked in 2009, she MOVED AWAY and left him behind in the city she sponsored him to and moved out of state like leaving a puppy behind. Unfortunately there are some sad stories and mine was awful and remains awful and it was my fault. You have to understand that if he is unhappy, he will always be unhappy just like there are miserable mean americans, there are petulant spoiled brat mena guys too that will never be happy. Especially if they married you just to get out whereever they were living. If it was real love, they would work at things...and you do see people in this forum who's husbands try and are trying. Not every story ends bad but if it does, realise that you couldnt do any better and there are others who got hurt by this often difficult process. I was absolutely used for money and papers and was never loved and it hurts to admit it but I was and so were other women I knew. It doesnt mean everyone else was. But I was and it hurts still to today that I was targeted to abuse. I was naive and refused to take good advice before he landed stateside and would have done myself a favor if I would have divorced him during the wait. Instead, I wanted to beat a dead horse and ended up thousands of dollars in debt and sick and worse was to come. There comes a point that you have to forgive yourself. Please start doing that and do what you need to do to be happy again.Please..

I admire you for telling us your story.

  3. My naturalization interview is over! It was great. Easy. Fast.

Got to the USCIS office 10 mins before my appointment. Waited in the car for 5 mins. Went in the waiting room with my wife and chilled for about 10 mins. When my name was called my wife shouted, “may the force be with you”…. Everyone laughed, including the interviewing officer. It was sweet because I am a nerd and love that movie (the original, not the “updated” versions).

Anyway, I went in and he asked if the “the force be with you” lady was my wife. I said yes. The entire interview lasted 5 mins. I think he only asked me four civics questions. He didn’t ask for any extra documents (just the regular green card, ID and passport). Done!

Told me oath should be mid February.

    Wow Congrats.

  4. Hey guys hope you had a great Tuesday. Well as Farid was leaving to his citizenship interview he was called by the local USCIS office that his interview would be rescheduled due to the fact that it was today and he has not completed his 3 yr requirement till January 20th. So he will have to wait for another interview letter. Darnit.

We are so closeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Shucks

  5. I am back to let you guys know that as Farid was driving to his interview he got a call from the local USCIS office to tell him that his interview was cancelled as he can't interview till on or after January 20th when he will complete his 3 yr requirement. So interview will be rescheduled and he must again wait for his letter. Shucks, Darnit, Dangit.

So someone please delete the interview date on my timeline. Thanks guys.

  6. Interview done!!!!! In and out in 15 min. The Officer was very, very nice. She gave me the Oath letter. I could go at the beginning of Feb but it was too far from us(2.5 hours), so I decided to go on March 22-nd because the location is 45 min away from us.

Thank you VJ so, so much for all your help.

    Congrats congrats congrats
