Congratulations to everyone who is receiving their NOA2s! It's so nice to see they're processing so many before Christmas! And good luck to the rest of us Being a 9/16 NOA1 myself, I feel like I have a while longer to wait!

By the way...on the USCIS site it shows that they have the 25th and 26th off...I know it's great to have a 4-day weekend but they even have to work on Christmas Eve! Props to them...

Hey Sarah- Welcome! I'm actually a VSC September filer- JEALOUS OF ALL THE CSC SEPTEMBERS GETTING APPROVED!!!!!! But I saw your post and I met my fiancee while I was in the Peace Corps in Guyana- Did your PC staff have problems with yuo hooking up with a "local" too?

Oh that's great Eve! I figured there'd have to be a good number of volunteers who do the same thing that we're doing! Actually PC staff was fine with it. Now if we had wanted to get married there, I would have needed permission (or something like that) of the country director, but we're doing a K1. They let him come to our COS conference and everything. But Ukraine is a big program (we have almost 400 volunteers in country) and I think about one person from every group ended up marrying a HCN. They actually gave you problems? Did they discourage volunteers from dating? That's a little strange. Two years and they expect us not to get to know the people we live and work with?!?! That's more than a little unreasonable!

hey guys,

how was i not aware of this site? i'm one of the mysterious sept 08 filers that never made an appearance in these forums until now. ive been a peace corps volunteer in ukraine for the past 27 months and now im working on a (fiance) visa so that he can come over to be with me!

I sent my petition in on Sept 13th and received NOA1 on Sept 16th! As of now, I'm just waiting like the rest of you
