We go at 3:00. I guess it must be pretty fast if they are planning to have everyone done and out of there by the next ceremony. I was told there is one at 9:30 as well. Congrats!

Yeah! Same day as us! What time do you go? I believe they have 2 ceremonies that day. From talking with other people, it sounds like you should plan on 1-2 hours.

Yes, I got the letter on Saturday. My oath day is the same with menina which is April 18th!
Do you know how long is the Oath ceremony? I have classes I still have to go back to after the ceremony. Trying to see if i can make it to my classes on time or not.

Good information! Congratulations and thanks for letting me know. I think I will give it a couple of weeks to see if we get an update. So you never got a "put in queue for oath ceremony" message? It just went to scheduled for oath? It is very possible that your phone call did prompt them to act. I have noticed that they can take forever updating cases at times. After our ROC interview, we had to wait for almost 2 months to get an approval message. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen again. I have noticed from others that the oath letter is sent around 2 weeks to one month before the ceremony. Another SJ filer had the oath ceremony about 1.5 months after the interview, so we are hoping for the same.
No i never got a "put in queue", i just went from "interview" to "oath ceremony" which is weird. I definitely think they forgot to update me lol.
And yes, i think waiting a couple of weeks before contacting them is a good idea. I hope you get ur oath day soon, too!

Any updates on your case? I know the oath ceremonies are usually around the 16th of the month, so hoping to be at the May ceremony!

Haha...I literally just received a text message and email saying my case status has been changed to "Oath ceremony". It said that I have been scheduled and they already sent out a letter so hopefully i'll get it soon, menina, I'll update you my exact date when I receive it. Maybe we'll be in the same ceremony
. Do u know your Oath date yet?Phewww... what a roller coaster it has been the past 3 weeks. FilipgaRN, thanks to your advice, I called USCIS 2 days ago trying to find out what's going on and what took them so long to update my case. I didn't get transfer to level 2 office because the level 1 told me they are too busy to accepting transfer calls during that hour. Anyway, she helped me file a "information request form" over the phone. I don't know if that is the reason why my status is updated today (perhaps they forgot about me and my file was in the corner so they finally looked it up and did something about it? lol). Anyway, I am very happy that I finally got the assurance that I was waiting for.

For those of you who are waiting, goodluck! If it helps, maybe give them a call and request info on your status to see if they can speed it up.

After took the test in April1. I received e-mail/text notice status changed today
On April 8, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled.

Indeed the law is harsh. I never thought I'd be arrested as well. It happened in a luxury hotel in San Francisco, and instead of the hotel management to internally solve the argument between me and my husband, they opted to call the police instead and in turn the police arrested me.
Have you received any letter for your Oath date yet? I got approved around the same time as yours and i still haven't received any letter or anything

May I ask how long between your interview day (when they told you that you are recommended for approval) and the day that your status is changed to In line for Oath online? 2 week? It's been 2 weeks since my interview date and I have yet to hear anything nor see my status online updated. It still showed "interview". Although i am told that I am recommended for approval, i am still getting a bit worried about all these. Wondering why it takes so long

Interview passed!!
We were waiting for an hour before being called, and my stomach was in knots! The interviewer was so kind and friendly! The questions asked were: What is one right of freedom from the 1st amendment.
Name one branch or part of the government.
Who is in charge of the executive branch.
In what month do we vote for President?
If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
Who signs bills to become laws?
All questions answered correctly so stopped there.
Reading test was Which state has the most people?
Writing test was something like California has the most people.
So relieved to be done with this part and can't wait for the oath ceremony to make it official. Good luck to everyone still waiting! We will be cheering you on and hoping to see lots of approvals this month and in the future!

No letter yet! It should be here this week! I'm so excited. I also contacted USCIS and spoke to a level 2 officer and he told me my husband was approved and should be placed in the Oath que this month! I'm really excited! You must be so excited as well the Hubby will be a citizen this week!

Yes, we are sooo excited. He has to go to the Miami passport office first thing Friday morning as he has a job on a ship leaving the USA on Saturday. I mad the appt for 8 am on Friday so we pray they can get him the passport by the afternoon!
glad things are moving fast for you guys. It's been 11 days since my interview with the "recommended for approval" thing and my status online still hasn't changed to "decision", it's still at "interview" stage. I am so anxious right now hahaha. Wonder why it takes so long

Ok... We got something to add to the timeline! Hubby got his oath letter today in the mail.... April 4th!!! We are inSHOCK! Yes, holy ####### we are freaking out it is so fast!! Now he is shuffling work stuff around so he can attend! (He was supposed to be in the Bahamas working that day)... Fingers crossed he can sort it out as it would be wonderful to have everything done and over with and would suck to have to postpone.... Big YAY to the speedy west palm beach uscis office!

I had my interview today and i passed, ya'all!!!!
Omgosh, I am just beyond happy right now haha... The IO checked the box "Congratulations! You have been recommended for approval!" and told me i should be getting the Oath letter in a few weeks!!
Here is my interview experience. I showed up at the field office at 8 in the morning, my interview was at 8:25. It is a big facility and a lot of ppl already waiting around in the room. After dropping my appointment letter off in the box, I was called 15 mins later. The IO office seems like a very nice and professional guy. He exchanges small conversations back and forth on the way to his office about the weather and he was asking me where i am going to school, etc... When we sat down, he opened the file and he found out that he was the IO that interviewed me almost 5 years ago when i first applied for GC!!! Hahaha, what are the chances, right? He even showed me his writing a few years on notes about my past interview. After that, he seems even more friendlier towards me (i guess it's due to the fact that he knew my case before)
He did ask a lot of questions though (casual and easy ones)
He asked me to confirm my address, and questions on my application to to clarify everything (for ex: have you ever claimed you are a citizen? Have u ever voted? Do you support the Constitution?....)
He asked how's marriage life going? any children? etc,...
Then he proceeded to the civic questions:
-What does the President cabinet do? - advises the president
-How many justices are there on the supreme court? - 9
-Name one branch or part of the government? - Legislative
-If both the President and vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President? - Speaker of the house
-What did the Declaration of Independence do? - declared our independence from Great Britain.
I answered all of them correctly, he then asked me to read the question: "What is the capital of the United States?" and asked me to write "Washington DC is the capital."
After all that, he asked me for my husband's proof of US citizenship and our marriage certificate. (he already had those copies in his file anyway, so i guess he just wants to compare the time line to see if it's correct). I didn't have the original copies with me because they were in a bank locker under my father in law name and he is traveling out of the country so we didn't have access for it. But I brought with me the same copied version (haha), and i just gave it to him anyway (i figure i'll explain it if he asked anything) but he didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that they are copied-version. He just compared them again and then moved on to ask for some recent proof of marriage. I gave him some recent utility bills, valid car insurance, current house insurance that have both of our names on it and he said "oh that's good enough, you don't have to give me anything else in the big file you brought there" (hahaha...)
After all that, he said i did very well and congratulates me and told me I should wait for a few weeks to receive the Oath appointment letter.
Yup, that is all folks! Now i am anxiously waiting for my Oath letter haha!!!! Christeen & FlipgaRN, let me know when you receive yours!

Interview DONE and he PASSED... Recommended for approval.
Arrived at 1 pm for the 1:30 interview.mer were about 100 people checkin in on the other side of the room for their oath (lady at the check n desk said that they do them 2xs a week and the usual wait time between interview and oath is 4-6 weeks.
He got called in at 2, the guy was a ver serious type of guy, my husband was a bit tense. He asked 6 questions (first president, where is the Statue of Liberty, who is governer, what was the civil rights movement, responsibility of citizen, and 2 us holidays)... Super easy for him, and the sentence he wrote was "Washington was the first president".
Then he proceeded to go through every question from the application and seemed to stress "have you been involved with criminals, did you pay taxes or ever evade taxes and several time what is your wife's name, how do you spell that." My husband said he asked these several different ways. He was polite but very serious and my husband gets nervous sometimes. He asked about my husbands job and how much he travels and if he finds that hard (which he said yes but the money is good) but we have been married for 10 years so we are used to crazy life.
But in the end all ok and we passed. No additional paperwork was asked for (we brought stuff) we are goingmtomitaly end of April so the interviewer made a note and said iit will either be scheduled for mid April, or mid may when he is back...
So whew! All good... Time to party (although he has to leave for chile for a job tonight) soma solo party!

You mentioned that you guys brought all the stuffs that they asked for (i assumed proof to support the marriage, tax paperwork, etc...) Did the interviewer looked at them at all?

I think if the USCIS asked for the original documents ideally you should be bringing the originals with you. Explain the situation during your interview. The worst that could happen is that they ask for a RFE and delay your application until you are able to show your original certificate. Hope all goes well with your interview. Could perhaps your father in law call the bank and give you access to your certificate?
Thank you for your input. Yah, we'll try to contact the bank and see what we can do. I just got off the phone with a friend who did interview 6 months ago, he didn't have the original passport of his wife either, he came in with photocopy of that and even the marriage certificate (haha, apparently he didn't read it carefully that he should bring the original). In any case, since they already have all those copies (he submitted those with the N400 package) so they didn't even ask him for those again. He passed at the end. Looks like it won't be a big issue at all considering i do have original paperwork for everything else. I hope it will be ok. If anyone is in the same boat, let me know, haha, we can update each other on our experience.

So I have a pressing question to ask: does any of you know if it's ok to bring a copy of my spouse's naturalization certificate to the interview? They did ask for original of: proof of spouse's citizenship, marriage certificate, tax transcript,etc.... I have original copies of everything but the naturalization certificate. I thought we have it but it turned out that my husband gave it to his Dad to keep it in a bank safe (his Dad is always the one's keeping all the important paperwork for the family) and that account is under his Dad's name. Unfortunately, he's out of the country at the moment and we won't be able to get it out without him. I hope it's ok to just bring the copy to the interview. What do you guys think? Any advice/previous experience is appreciated.

We haven't been placed in line yet, and we have the same local office, but I am fine with that since our 90 days aren't up until the end of March. I don't want to go in too early only to have them say no approval at this time because it is a few days short of 3 years. I think that might be why it took so long for our ROC to be approved after the interview--because the 2 year mark had not arrived yet. In those cases, I think that they just set the file aside and forget about it until you remind them via phone calls or infopass. Hoping not to go through that again. Interestingly, a member from December and another from January haven't been place in line yet for the same local office as ours. Good luck, and keep us posted so we know how to prepare for the interview there!
Got cha, ya that makes sense about the 90 days timeline. For my case, i was too busy to apply at the 3 years mark so when I sent it in Jan, it's already been 4 years and 1 month (i know i was a slacker lol)
This is just a notice inline for interview anyway, I am hopeful that I'll receive an interview letter soon, then i'll know for sure if my timeline is moving fast.

Had my oath ceremony today! Updating my US citizen status!
