  1. The last processing action taken on your case Receipt Number: xxxxxx

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On January 28, 2009, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. ok what the hell does that mean?? I sent them that stuff like 2 weeks ago certified mail.. and they only registering it on the website now.. What fkery.

What documents did they want from you?

  2. sometimes they dont ever register it on email,,good luck

thanks.. what douchebags.. they coulda just as easily approved it LOL

Not really, because all that was done at this point was your envelope was opened, and what you sent was joined with the documents in your file. More than likely this was done by mail room clerks, and not and IO. The adjudicator who your case is assigned to will at some later date look at what you sent and approve your case.

I got an RFE on Jan 02, sent a response back on the same day Jan 02, they received it on Jan 06 and the status on my case online says: "On Jan 06, 2009 we received your response to our request for evidence and case processing has resumed.....you will get written update or decision within 60 days...."

And I am STILL WAITING...I thought RFE's meant sooner approval!

What documents did they need from you?

  3. I saw that my file was "touched" on Jan 14 but it still says case is received and pending. We received our NOA1 on Sept 19 so we hope for a NOA2 in the next few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with how long after a "touch" we might see some action?

    Thanks

    Hi!,

We are almost at the same situation. We sent our petition on sep. 23th. We have been touched three time since this time, first one right after they received our case and right now 23th and 26th of June. I do not know what does it mean, that they touched us twice in this month and never has sent any notify e-mail….. My status is still “Case received and pending” …..blablabla….I have no idea about all this issues in USCIS

  4. We sent our petition four months ago. After few days we have been touched and then in the next 4 months our case was waiting for next step. 23th of June we have been touched again it was Friday ( maybe they approved our case ? ) on Monday 26th we have been touched again what happened now? Maybe they touched us after approving our case on Friday ? Can you give me some ideas or maybe someone has similar situation? What are the chances that we have been approved on Friday?

  5. It is almost unbelievable but today I got approved, after such a long and depressing "journey" till the immigration was done.

Today , after waiting for 5 hours at the embassy, me and my husband were the only ones left for the interview.....

I was invited in seperate room and asked a lot of questions, then my husband was invited at the same room and asked the same questions. The whole process was very stressful, my husband got irritatedad as well, as we know that at the consulate stage this procedure is not common.... If is had not been with me I don't think what would be the response of my application. Being and supporting your spouse means a lot ...

After all, he -(I don't know whether he was the Con.Off or just an investigator ) said that he was happy to know that our petition was approved...

I was ready to cry !!!!!!!!!!!

Just in case to know the my immigration history: Filed K-1 visa and got denied and sent back

refiled I-130 petition which was approved

today we got approved in the embassy !!!!!!!

As for the advice : I can tell that if you are honest and confident soon or later you will be approved. I was not asked any additional evedence for the relationship, but still I showed him some of the things , he was impressed and very friendly person.

Thanks everyone for giving me the suggestions in this forum. I wish all of you to get approved very soon and be happy with your spouses !!!!!!!!

Congrats! Can you tell us why your K-1 was denied since that is the process I am doing? Thanks!

    :time: :time: :time:

  6. On January 23th our petition has been touched. We have not been touched since four month. I would like to ask you guys , what are the chances that we will be approved soon? Maybe someone has the same experience as we? Why they touched us and not approved? Some people who sent their petition month or more later then we, they have got approved without any touch. Why it is so mysterious? Who is controlling USCIS with this what they said about order of approved petition?

    Thank you for help

  7. Hi all, I have been doing some research on this site, and I read about things like P2, P3 and P4.

I will be doing DCF for my wife in Canada.

Are P2, P3 and P4 the instructions that we will receive from the embassy? Are they available on this site so I can prepare myself ahead of time?

What information will we receive from the consulate for the entire DCF process?

    Thank you!

  8. Hi Everyone,

I have just looked in required documents for K-1 Visa, and I found out that we did not send cover letter in our package. I would like to ask you guys is itimportant document? Can we be approved without it?

    Thank you for help

Yes, you can be approved without a cover letter. It's a good tool, not a requirement.

    Thank you so much
