  1. She will do the medical next week...tuesday and wednesday is our target. We needed to go back to manila to get her police clearance from the korean embassy for the DS-230 package. I messed up and forgot my tax transcripts at home before coming to the PI...so, i will have to send my AOS when I get back along with the 230 package...(at least I can use express mail there and track it all the way)

I feel relieved that i was able to request for my NBI with my new full name.

And also was able to request for a copy of our marrige certificate for NSO thru e-census .We used the

my marrige certificate issued by the Quezon City Civil Registrar in a specialty paper but certified by the NSO. So I'm seeing progress :dance::dance:

  2. Hi! Thank you for the link for the NVC, I learned a lot from it.

I will be doing these things this week.

But I have another question, how can you have an interview date?

    thank you

Oh I read back your comment so as I understood it , I'm going to receive a letter from the embassy or the NVC,

I was thinking you have to call to have an interview date. But kindly correct me if I'm wrong . :star:

  3. hi! first off congratulations on your approval!..

about the medical at st. Lukes, others go for an advance medical even if they haven't received their interview appointment letter yet.. i think they just bring their NOA2 hardcopy (in place of the interview appointment letter) at St. St. Luke's.. i guess others decide to go for an advance medical because they take into consideration any delays that the medical results might cause (like the dreadful sputum tests if they find any irregularities in your xray..)

as for me, I waited for my case to be completed at NVC and for my interview appointment letter before i took my medical exam.. i just had my med exam last Feb 16-17, 2010.. and i am so grateful to God i passed it!

about the interview date, NVC will be the one to set a date for you after your case has been completed..

read the NVC guides.. ready all your documents now so you could fly your way through NVC.. NVC stage is way faster than USCIS.. Good luck & God bless! :D

  4. Cool thanks!!

    Hi ,

Hi folks I have been reading your posts and learning from them, we are September filers too and just recently received our approval , now I'm starting to gather my next requirements for the NVC

I'm about to get an NBI clearance next week, so I have to get 2 NBI clearances??? One with my maiden name and another one for my married name?? did I understand it right?? And also do I need to get police clearance as well, I have never been to another country aside from USA when I visited Alaska.

  5. you really dont need an attorney to do the paperwork for you...most of them are just after your money...and in PI immigration lawyers are not cheap.

my uscis journey had some complications, we got RFE but it only took us more or less 5 months to get the approval.

there are so many helpful guidelines here in doing your paperwork, instead of paying a s**p*d lawyer, just save your money for your future needs.

one more thing you and your fiance just needs to work on this together and you wont need a liar, i mean a lawyer.

    God bless!

I do agree we have a lawyer really cant do anything. We have a lawyer but he can't speed up anything .:angry::angry::angry:

I'm also waiting like you :crying::crying::crying::crying:

  7. I even had a USEM Manila Embassy Visa interview scheduled. I did call and cancel the Embassy interview. I sent (non-notarized) duplicate explanation letters to the USCIS, NVC and USEM . Since the K1 petition was already approved, cancellation is not applicable, right?

I think I met a better, more responsible Filipina, and will likely want to petition her instead. I will probably go visit her in Phils in 2 months. Too many red flags of a train wreck on the first girl, So I had to cut my losses with her and move on!

Will my previous K1 petition slow down the process of getting the NOA1 on a new petition? I do expect RFE initially for an IMBRA waiver, but beyond that, will my new petition be held up? Thanks for your input. I was reading the recent threads on cancelling K1 Petitions not yet approved, but since mine was approved for a girl I no longer want, I am unclear how this effects a new K1. Thank you for your responses. :D

there must be a reason ...hmmmmmmmmm

  8. hi everybody I'm very new with this site.

I know i would get information from this site

I have a question, I have stayed in Alaska, USA for more 7 mos, and now we are applying for fiancee visa , do I need a police clearance from the US when I go to the interview , I read that a police clearance is needed if you have live in a country of more than 6 mos.

    thanks
