Ah, thanks for that. I thought that they'd have a problem with the applicant's primary sponsor having penalties against her. Luckily for us we are able to use my dad's income to cover us.

There is a problem with my taxes. I requested a 2007 transcript because I couldn't find all the proper forms so I thought a transcript was the best thing to show at interview day. On the transcript, it details info that i owe money for the tax year 2006, and penalties for not paying.
I filed my 2006 taxes about a year too late, because I didn't know about having to file all of those years; I got a whole mix of info from a number of people and so I never filed, but I found out that i definitely needed to file. So I did. The guy who did it for me messed it up and he claims i owe money. Now, at the time I really was naive and believed him, but after researching I find that I shouldn't have to owe money. Now i consulted a number of tax professionals as well who claim that I definitely do not owe any money, as i certainly did not make a lot at all (I worked only for about half the year in 2006 so I made something like $10,000 only).
Now my 2007 transcript says i owe some money and have penalties against me for not owing for 2006.
I'm here in the UK at the moment so I do not know how exactly to clear this up right here and now. Do you think this will pose a problem on interview day?

Hi. I have a question to those who've applied via DCF at the London Embassy. Has anyone applied recently? I know someone who sent out the DS-2001 checklist a month ago and hasn't heard from the embassy yet. Usually I've heard of the embassy getting back to the applicant within two to three weeks of sending in that form. Perhaps they're going through a backlog or something.
So, just curious to know if anyone has experienced a delay in response from the embassy.

I actually left the UK very shortly after handing in the I-130, before it was even approved.

Oh ok, it's a lot clearer to me now.
I am living in NY with my parents. We did DCF when I was still living in Scotland, but I moved back home ahead of him.
I guess I can just use my dad's income as his income is more than enough to cover it all.
Thanks again for your help.

Hi all. My husband (Scottish) is in the process of getting ready for the interview in London. I'm trying to get the documents ready for the I-864.
My parents are going to be joint sponsors. We will also be living with them for a little while after he gets here.
I know that I, as his primary sponsor, must fill out an I-864. But what do my parents fill out? Do they fill out an I-864 as well or I-864 A?
Also, they filed their taxes jointly. When I fill out the form, do I put both of their names or just one of them? Do I get both of them to sign the form or just one of them? And can I put their combined income, as that is how they filed their taxes.
Thanks very much in advance.

this happened to me (USC) and my husband (UKC) last year. We filed DCF in June 2007. They asked us to go over on an official matter in November 2007. They asked us a lot of questions about each other. Bring whatever you can to show you've got a bona fide marriage. We brought letters/cards, bank statements that showed both our names on it, pictures, etc. I think what helped us was the fact that I was pregnant at the time as well.
They questioned us for about 10-15 minutes each, just asking us questions to make sure we knew everything about each other.
It's a hassle, but if your marriage is legit, then there should be no problems.
Hope that helps.
