Hi,

Are you married already? Did you marry here in Phils? All you need to do is submit the I-130 form without the I-29F. I submitted both and it only delayed my papers.

If you submit the I-130 with the I-29F you will be charged for about $1,000 when you arrive in the US so they can convert it to CR1.

Don't know what other Vjs say.

You can't just change the petition. Because you married you will need to start again with a spousal visa. You must be sure the fiance petition is cancelled.

Thank you guys for the replies! My husband said that we have nothing to worry about because the USCIS sent him a letter about the DENIAL of our K1 petition beacuse of the abandonment. How far are you along in the process? the thing is, if the I-130 gets approved before your interview date, USEM will drop the K3 in favor of a CR visa.

Not necessarily so. Trinidad-Lohner applied both for a K3 and CR-1 visa. She just got her K3 visa last week.

The main advantage of a K3 visa is that you have to file an AOS ($1000) but is much faster to process by the NVC. The CR-1 route provides you with a conditional green card but is much longer to process. It all depends on your priorities - to be with your husband immediately but with more documentary requirements or vice versa.

Hi abspears. Mine was they took my passport and the filipino lady asked me to pay the visa delivery fee. I hope and pray that my visa will be issued soon and no comlications. Honestly I am worrying about it, but I put my worries into God's hands... let's keep praying...

Hi everybody, first of all i would like to say thank you for the people whos spending there time reading my post, anyway we got denied last sept 29, 2008 we appeal to NVC Oct, 10, 2008 NVC answers Oct 28, 2008 saying that they already processed the said petition and forward to the USE abroad, i never thought that it would happen thanks "GOD" few days ago i received an appointment letter from USE Manila saying that i need to be there DEC 10, 2008 and bring all the evidence of our on-going marital relationship, my main problem right is last November 9, 2008 my husband send me an email saying that his giving up to our relationship because of the situation which is no assurance becuase his trying to consult with several immigration lawyer and it makes him really confused and he dont know what to do right now im worried if this opportunity givin me will become useless if his not going to cooperate with me, i dont know what to do please help!!! anybody?... i love my husband so much....

i guess thats already void, if not u guys cannot continue to filed for K1 since u both are married now. i also suggest that u need to call the USCIS before u make a step for filing other petition since i have previous one before.

Heya, I'll try to comment on this a bit.. i'm not sure how correct mine is but i'm sure other people will help you on this. anyways, i think you have to cancel your K-1 visa petition first.... write to USCIS and tell them you want to cancel it. then only file for K-3 visa. i don't think you can apply for both together... coz you're already married... so you can't continue with the K-1 fiance visa...

My husband went to the CFO seminar back on 2005. is the certificate still valid now? Can you get the CFO sticker at the airport?

Yeah I think it is still valid as long he never used the certificate before to get sticker...Does he had sticker before?

I passed on my medical exam last Nov 20-21. Thank God!

Here's the details:

>>> I brought the NVC letter with the MNLxxx number, passport, 3 visa pictures, money, black pen.

Day 1

1. I arrived at exactly 11:15am at st.lukes. The guard asked my passport and appoinment letter but i dont't have it yet. I only gave the NVC letter with the MNLcase number. He gave me forms to filled out (sucks, it was a lot...lol). After filling the forms, I handed it to the SLMC receptionist and she interviewed me like (when do u intend to go to us?, what POE? when is your interview? etc.), digital photograph will be taken after.

2. I was told to pay the medical fee at the 5th floor. (it was PHP 10,667.50 yay!)

3. X-ray at tthe 3rd floor. Note: Always remember your last day of menstruation. Shirt and bra off. lol!

4. blood extraction, urine sample at the 4th floor (They will take more or less 5ml blood sample from ur arm. Urine specimen is used to determine if u are pregnant too and some other test like kidney stones, etc.)

5. vital signs (weight, height, BP, pulse rate), eye check-up at 5th floor ( if you have eye glasses,contact lenses, you better bring it during your medical exam. They will surely ask for it.)

6. vaccination interview at 2nd floor (Bring any vaccinations record or if you don't have, just tell the doctor. You will be asked many questions like, do u have sexual contact this month? are u pregnant? Were you hospitalized? Is there any operation done? Do u have allergies? and many more.. Just tell the truth and nothing but the truth..lol)

7. physical exam at 5th floor (Be ready to undress ,no underwares at all. The doctor will interview you many silly questions like, how old are u? Where u convicted for any crime? Did u use drugs, shabu, morphine, marijuana,etc? Have you been insane? Do u have brain damage or mind problem? Do u have HIV desease, AIDS, any communicable deases? Do u have previous operation? Were u confined in the hospital? Do u have eye problem? Do u have your eyeglasses with you? etc. After that, you will be told to completely undress and lay on the bed. The doctor will check your breast, private parts and check whether you have ####### problems. She will check you all over to see if u have skin problems, tatoos, skin rashes,etc.

8. back to the US counter. You will be told to return after lunch on the next day. I finished the Day 1 sessions at 3:55pm. Note: bring some candies, snacks and water. The process is continuous...no lunch break either.

Day 2

1. I arrived around 2:30pm. The guard checked my medical fee receipt and passport. (Yay! He said, "Go to 2nd floor for vaccinations and you can now plan for a farewell party". This means that I already passed the exam. Thank you Lord! )

2. It will be a long long wait at the 2nd floor for the vaccination. I did not know what was the reason of the delay but they said, it usually happens like that.

3. At 6:30pm I got my 4 shots of vaccines namely: anti-cervical cancer, MMR, Human papillomavirus, and varicella. Ohhh my...'twas a lot! 2 shots in each arms. whew. It hurts huh!!!

4. Finally, i got cleared at the ground floor around 7:45pm. They took my passport and they said that they will forward it to the USEM on tuesday. So, I can have my interview on thursday or friday.Whew! So fast! They only gave me my receipt and vaccination records.

Go to your city's civil registrar office and request for an electronic forwarding of your marriage certificate to Manila for authentication so it will only take 4 to 6 weeks...I only paid P50 for it. Goodluck!

After you ask the Electronic Endorsement from Your local Registry bring the paper to NSO and the NSO will tell you to go back after 30 working days then YOU WILL HAVE YOUR AUNTHENTICATED MARRIAGE LICENSE...Thats it..Good Luck
