Oo nga wala silang gamot pra sa 2 months old baby but sabi ng pedia niya bili daw kami ng vaporizerr, so ayun she is getting better nah... nilalagyan din nmin ng liquid vicks yung vaporizeer... thank God nga she is fine nah. thanks mga mommies!

Pink- Enfamil din gamit ni Jacob. We tried Similac before kasi nga may mga sample kaso lang di sya hiyang..constipated sya. At naku sinabi mo pa talagang abot hanggang ulo ang pag-aalala ko. Iyak nga ako ng iyak kanina kasi sobrang takot ko talaga. Nadadagdagan pa ang pag-alala ko kasi nga baby pa tong si Jacob. I really hope talaga na everything is fine with my bukol.

RR-hehehe talaga ang taas talaga umihi ng mga baby boy..ganyan din si Jacob noon..pero ngayon mga isang beses na lang sa isang buwan nya kami naiihian sa mukha. I breastfeed for 2 weeks din tapos nag pump din ako. I'm not sure nga kung what is the cause ng lump na ito eh. Napansin ko lang ito a few days ago. Minsan sumasakit sya..minsan di naman. Tiningnan na nga namin online kung ano ang sign ng breast cancer and thank God wala naman akong sign non.

Yong sakin naman medyo near din sya sa nipple at nasa 12 o' clock degree..parang nasa taas din sya..ewan maliit kasi boobis ko eh. Bata ka pala..di pa nga pwede sayo ang mammogram.

Tomorrow punta din kami ng hospital..well see kung ma schedule din ako tomorrow for mammogram or ultrasound which ever ang pwede sakin.

Hello Mommy Eve, lump ko is like 6:30 o'clck degree nung di pa ako buntis, after kung nagpa dede for over a mnth the lump moved it is 3:15 o'clck degree nah.. Sad to say hindi ako nakapunta sa appoitment ko for my lump ultra sound kasi

si baby hannah inubo..so pina check up nmin... wala nmn daw meds pra sa 2 months old baby... vicks lng daw e massage sa dibdib ni baby

Before nga pala ako nagpabreast feed kay baby the lump was under my nipple but after she breast feed on me for over a month it moved in the side so Im kinda scared about this. It hurts a lot!

Eve - katakot naman yang bukol na yan. Patignan mo kaya sa doktor or sa mga lactation consultant. Nagpapadede din ako pero ala nmn bukol. Minsan napapagod akong magpadede kasi minsan 1 hour cya kung dumede nung pasko pa nga 2 hrs kaya minsan eh binibigyan ko ng formula na.

Parang feeling ko anak ko lang gumagamit ng Enfamil dito Yun na kasi binigay na gatas sa hospital kaya ayun tinuloytuloy ko na sa Enfamil. Masmaganda ba Similac sa Enfamil?

Mommy Pink, Enfamil din gamit ng baby ko. pina try ko nga ng similac ayaw niya kasi nasanay na sa enfamil.

Sa hospital kasi enfamil pinapa inom. My baby was breastfeed but she just stop a week ago, I dunno why.

congrats ms gracey...laki ng baby mo cutie...kamukha mo...baby ko rin my mild jaundice it was 7.3 nung una syang tinest after 2 days nung nadischarge ako follow up check up eh they did test then the doctor called me and said its negative so nothing to worry...ewan ko lang ngayon. ang cute rin ng pictures may background song pa...di na kami nagpapicture ng hubby ko sa hospital kasi we just want to go home already...

riza...ganun ba...nagwiwiwi naman baby ko i dont count his diapers per day hehehehe...kahapon nakapoopoo sya though di matigas poopoo nya pero pag nagpoopoo sya parang ang tigas ng pinopoopoo nya kasi namumula mukha nya...but then im just happy kasi everytime i change and clean his butt after pooing he is so calm he just let me clean him till i finish.

evelyn...i remember namention mo yung cone for the ehem ng boy when changing diaper...saan mo ba nabili yun? kasi kailangan ko rin eh kasi most of the time when i change his diaper when its full na eh umiihi sya...

pink...nung nasa hospital ako as long as you want kahit ilang oras mo padedehin baby mo sa breast mo its fine as long as its fine with you too...baby ko though breastmilk pero bottlefeeding sya kasi his comfortable with it and me too...but there are times i breastfeed him para may bonding hehehehe...at first gamit ko yung similac advance pero binigyan kami ng pedia ng similac sensitive kaya yun gamit ko now pero most of the time breastmilk yung binibigay ko sa kanya pero ewan ko ba para atang nauubos na gatas ko now...hehehehe...

my baby will be 2 weeks old na bukas...tawag namin sa kanya is BIBI bale baby pero bisayan ang dating kaya bibi pati hubby ko bibi rin tawag sa kanya he always smile...nanonood rin sya ng tv especially pag colorfull ang show...

I still remember nung 1st week ko after my c-section sabi ko sa sarili NEVER na uli ako uulit. But ngayon hindi ko na maalala ang sakit lol....

hahahahhaahhaha. this is life!

Hi everyone! Happy Holidays! I have been here in NJ since April of 2009 and still haven't adjusted fully. The first thing I need to adjust was the weather, considering I am from east coast,so cold making my brain freeze all the time especially now it's winter. The coldest temp we have in Philippines is like 75deg Fahrenheit which is very normal temp in the states. Layering is the key to keep ourselves warm at this season. I am loving it. I prefer cold weather actually even if it freezes my brain, advil can ease the pain.lol

I assumed you will all agree with me that our lives turned 360 degrees when we decided to leave our mother land, leaving our comfort zone. The adjustment is so overwhelming. Culture, language, and age difference for majority. In my case, my husband and i are of the same age,first and last marriage I felt like I was reborn,feeling like a child,growing and discovering alot of things in new environment. I have to learn to do chores, cleaning,cooking,laundrying and all,which I hardly do in Philippines. But hey, I am enjoying it,having fun learning how to cook although I miss my mom's dishes badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Her adobo,kare-kare, kaldereta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tried cooking adobo, but i can't mimic the taste of my mom's adobo. Poor girl!(me) Thanks to my husband, even before i got here, he was able to find filipino store/restaurant near us where I can eat filipino dishes and buy fish sauce(patis),datu puti soysauce and vinegar,knorr's sinigang mix,etc. Goin to filipino store makes me feel i am in my mother land. It feels different, i must admit the more i miss home.

The first few months was fine,it was all excitement and thrill. More of observation of the things around me. The wide and clean roads which caught my attention. Malls where I enjoy walking around and checking stuffs. I tried hard to control myself from buying lol. Malls in Manila is always crowded, goin to restaurants or fast food chain is another story. I love the malls here. Feels good walking at the mall where you can actually run and won't be bothered by crowd coz there is no crowd at all. It is natural to feel homesick. There were times I would cry, missing my parents and my sister. If not for my very supportive husband, I would be crying everyday feeling homesick. He makes everything fine for me, his family is wonderful,they welcomed me to the family very warmly. I am very close to his parents. Last week, my mother in law brought me to NYC. It was amazing! I call my inlaws mom and pop. How about you guys? Most americans call their inlaws by name.

Another adjustment I will be facing is the driving. I started driving since 16 in Philippines. I have always driven a stick although I have tried driving automatic once but that was about it. As I observed the drivers in NJ, they really follow the speed limit, and road signs. I think I will have a problem.lol. As for all you filipinos know, how crazy filipino drivers are. No laws, no speed limit, drive aimlessly. FYI I got my driver's license in Philippines without taking written exams. Money talks as they say. It works. I remember there was a case in Philippines wherein a blind man was given a driver's license. Wow! The only problem I will have to face is their exams. I got the driver's manual and started reading them. It is givin me headache. Wish me luck girls!

I got my GC December 02,2009 before my birthday. It was a nice birthday present for me. I did not have an interview. My application was filed in Vermont Service Center but was transferred to California which was good because it was only in Cali when my papers were given full attention. We submitted our AOS first week of September. It was pretty fast after my papers was forwarded to California. So for those whose papers were transferred to Cali, it's a good sign. Now that I have my Green Card, everything now is official. I am a legal permanent resident of USA, " welcome to united states of america!" What are you waiting for? start find a JOB I have been applyin online, no response yet. I am keepin myself optimist about it. I don't want another stress..K1 and AOS was very stressful one. I need a break from it.

For 8 months that I have been here, I keep myself busy. Almost 24 hours I am online Corresponding to my family and friends makes me feel near them. Seeing their photos on special occasions like Christmas, All Soul's Day,where filipino families gathered together in those two occasions, geesh! the more I miss Philippines. My first christmas in the states....was great but nothing compares to what you have used to. Nothing beats familiarity. Being with my second family (my husband's family/relatives) last christmas eve,was an eye opener. It was a reality that I am no longer in Philippines. On special occasion like this, the more we will be depressed. It is important that we keep in touch to our family despite the distance. Hearing their voices, seeing them on camera, texting, will help.

I dunno what awaits me in new jersey. All I know is I left Philippines, everything there is, because of LOVE. I will never trade this LOVE I have for my man for anything else. I married an American because of love. He is awesome! He is the man of my dreams. My answered prayers.

Hay naku...yan na nga ba ang nangyayari sa naiinip...

Mazzelynn Eve made her debut at 9:52am Eastern of Christmas day She weighed in at 8.6 lbs and is 21 inches tall :) I had one strong contraction around 5am, went to the bathroom at ayun na nga...bloody show. Did not go to the hospital till an hour later when my contractions were 4 mins apart. Am currently still in the hospital recuperating, Maizy is currently seeking Daddy's favor...he just cannot not pick her up the moment she starts to cry. Ayun, first night namin pareho kaming puyat. I swear...pati recovery ko is far different from when i had Alec. Di ako maka-wee-wee after they took out the catheter at nag-spasm yung daanan ng wee-wee ko kaya they had to re-insert another. I've been able to relieve myself since then but the walk to the toilet is somewhat excruciating kasi nag-spasm parin yung pantog ko. They are still observing me kas my hemoglobin dropped from a 10.9 pre-op to a 7.6 post-op. Passed out a lot of blood clots kanina so i am currently awaiting the lab tech who'll be getting another blood sample for another blood count. The baby was observed in the special care nursery for a while kasi sabi malaki sya for her age in weeks. Everything turned out to be fine although they had to test her blood sugar every now and then. She is developing some jaundice on her face already and I would not be surprised if she becomes yellower tomorrow. She is purely breast-fed...nakakatulugan nga lang nya mag-dede. She as passed out meconium 4 times already which is good...needs to make wet diapers now

Ayan...gising na naman yung prinsesa...feeding time again....

I arrived here last August 5, 2009. Super na mimiss ko talaga pamilya ko sa pinas. Iba ang pasko dito...as in! hindi mo ma fefeel ang pasko dito, oo at may decorasyon at regalo but deep inside sa puso nila di nila alam ang tunay na kahulugan ng pasko!

Minsan din stress ako kasi na aadjust sa mga anak ng asawa ko. Kapapanganak ko nga palang last October 28. My baby will be 2 months this 28th.

Hi everyone!

update lang ako: We went to OB friday and was told to be induced...kaso gusto ko muna antayin after weekends baka lalabas ng kusa si baby kasi kahit na I was still 3cm, fully effaced na daw ako sabi ni doc...pati si doc kong guapo nagtaka nga bakit daw di pa ako nanganak when baby is sooooo drop na daw. Mas malaki na ( obviously) si baby so kailangan nilang i.induce ako soon.

So finally, after being convinced by hubby, I will be induced Tuesday (24th)...sabi ni Doc hopefully, it will be easier for me so we will know kung makaya ko kayang i-ere ang almost 9lbs na baby ko. pero kung di kaya then CS will be the answer ( I am still hoping wag sana).

I will keep you guys updated and sana everything will be good.

Pink: ingat ka lagi....pahinga ka lang at wag ma stress nakakaapekto kay baby yan.

ask ko lang ano ang gagawin nila sa kidney ng baby mo when it comes out? is he gonna undergo surgery or medication lang?

Yung sa situation kasi ng baby ko eh "mild" lang. Nasa stage 1 lang so they say na usually eh kusang nagheheal yun once the baby is born pero the urologist needs to check him din pagkalabas nya. Then he might go under several tests din then check up ulit after 6 months. I am praying nga na huwag ng madagdagan yung fluid sa kindneys nya eh. And so far my baby is doing well naman. His specialist named him "Happy Zac" (Zachary kasi magiging firstname ng baby namin) kasi lagi cyang active during ultrasound na parang laging masaya hehe Yung ibang may hydronephrosis na malala eh inooperahan or minsan under medication.

Hay naku, walang katapusang contraction in fact eh nagcocontract ako while typing this . Di na talga papaawat. lalabas na baby ko soon at mauunahan pa nga kita lol!

Binigyan kaba nila ng shot na steroid? para sa lungs ng baby to develop kasi dipa fully develop ang lungs ni baby in 35 weeks... mga 36 weeks full term na siya. Try to keep your baby for another one week. It is good for him. wag masyadong magpagod. Bedrest ka ata kagaya ko...keep us upated. Good Luck sayo at kay baby Zac.

Hmmmm I woud say that just bring:

1. your cothes going back home

2. Baby's clothes going back home( u can bring like 3 pairs u dont needto bring a lot f baby's clothes)

3. Bring gloves for baby

and im just wondering...bakit nung chineck ng ob ko kung ilang cm nako nafeel nya ang head ng baby...but when i asked my hubby, kasi mas mataas yung kanya kaysa sa finger ng ob pero di nya na feel ang head ng baby...bakit ganun?

I was 3 cm dilated but I did not know it yet. And we had "talik" and afer that day i went to my doctor and they keep me in the hospital saying that im in labor the doctor ask if when the last time we had "talik". I was 33 weeks pregnant that time and the doctr said no "TALIK anymore".

I'm not the pregnant mommy, but the daddy, and technically I cant post here. But my wife wont, and I dont know where else to turn.

My wife has been here from the Philippines since May 3. She has her permanant resident card now, and social security card and drivers license, and she is working at a part time job. She is 16 days pregnant as of today.

I lost my job one week ago. We have no insurance. I went to the health department and to social services here in my town, trying to get assistance. We live in a very small town in rural southwest Virginia. I learned that my wife is not elligible for medicaid until she has been here for 5 years. She is entitled to emergency medicaid only, which only covers labor, delivery and about 96 hours after delivery.

Right after we got married, she became pregnant, and had a miscarriage, February 2008. So I am concerned and want her to have prenatal care. But we just dont have the money for it. I dont know where to turn for help for her. It isnt a good time for her to be pregnant, and it was a surprise and a shock for both of us, but I am also happy she is pregnant. She is depressed, afraid, because of me not having a job. Prenatal care of some kind would help her fears significantly I think. I am doing all I can to find a new job now. She is working all the hours she can too.

Anyways... I just am hoping someone will know first hand where to turn for some kind of prenatal help... some way that it can be made affordable. Thanks.

Hello Daddy to be, I had the emergency medicaid too but at the same time I got the MOMS program which covers the entire pregnancy unti 6 weeks from delivery. I dont know if there is a MOMS program in Virginia but try to check. I got it at the same place where we apply for my medicaid. Btw, I am a green card holder too. sheree - naku, unahan ka pa ni bmtrrbt... 8.9 lbs by ultrasound is quite big...and the ultrasound is pretty accurate kaya pag-isipan nyong maige and possible CS. Then again, there have been babies this size and bigger born naturally. Within the week dapat manganak ka na. The longer the baby stays in, the more risk there is (baby may poop inside and inhale it, amniotic fluid may not be adequate anymore). Hopefully, you deliver na

im 36 weeks na ngayon...yup nag pack na ako for the baby last week kasi baka mapaanak ako bigla then di naman alam ng hubby ko anong dadalhin kaya nag pack na ako. pero for me not yet kasi di ko pa feel mag pack for me.

Congratulations bmtrrbt....i hope u wont mind me asking why your doctor s inducing you early? I mean I know you will be full term already, akala ko kasi they only induce kung malaki/overdue si baby or the placenta is not healthy to keep the baby.

i asked my ob about it one time but i didnt really get an exact answer... sa naalala ko mas maalagaan kung nasa labas ang baby kaysa nasa loob.

maliit din kasi ako then yung fundal height ko maliit din...5 weeks ago i had my ultrasound my baby weigh 3 pounds something so next week another ultrasound ulit ako...but im not worried about everything kasi my baby is normal naman then kung iinduce man agad ako mas okay din yun para makita ko na sya.

Oo nga pala nanganak din ako on my 36 weeks but that time na break na yung water ko while waiting for my prenatal check up. I had c-section. maliit din ako gurl kaya nga i had an early contraction and been diated for 4 cm on my 36 weeks. Sabi ng OB ko nag oopen daw yung cervix ko kasi nga maliit ako so while the baby is gaining weight palapit ng palapit yung contraction. Good Luck sayo and God Bless you and your baby.

sinabi mo pa....ang laki talaga ni baby, nung pinanganak ako I was not even 7lbs, tapos si hubby was 8.10lbs so bka mana sa kanya...sana naman wag na sya lumaki..due date ko is bukas pero parang di pa lalabas si baby so by friday baka ma induce na ako..hopefully kaya ko syang i-ere...ayaw ko tlga pa CS sana pero kung wlang ibang choice then CS bgsak ko nito.

sabi ko nga kay hubby uwi sya earlier everyday pra may mag susuot ng underwear ko....hahahhaha.....sabi nya wag ka na lang magsuot underwear para wla kang lalabhan ( nagrereklamo kasi ako sa discharges tapos feel ko tlga i handwash lagi kasi feeling ko mas malinis pag handwash).

I have no problem breastfeeding my Baby Hannah but minsan lang kapag nasa public eh medyo nakakahiya.Pumunta nalang ako sa loob ng sasakyan at doon magpapa breast feed kay baby.

I am scheduled for another ultrasound for high-risk pregnancy kuno kasi masyado malaki si baby so bka daw di pede i vaginal delivery, my doc wants to make sure about sa measurement ni baby sana daw mali ang computation nya pero I am still hoping na sana natural birth lang ayaw ko kasi magpa CS bka mahirapan ako lalo na pagbalik ni hubby sa work ako nalng mag isa sa bahay.

Do you often feel the menstrual cramps like feeling? kaso ako feeling ko parang parating yung regla ko...tapos it also comes with the about-to-poop-feeling. Sorry ha ala akng ibang matanungan kasi first baby namin to tapos doctor ko naman scientific explanation lagi....nainis ako di makarelate minsan kasi lalaki si doctor ko eh. OK naman sya pero syempre pag nagdiscribe ako na PMS-like pain eh di nya alam yun.

Mommy Sheree yun ang contractions. I had an early contractions starting on my 33 weeks nanganak nga ako when my baby is only 36 weeks. Na ospital ako nung 33 weeks ako kasi sabi ng doctor ko nag lalabor na raw ako at 3 cm dilated na ako so binigyan nila ako ng steroid for the lung of baby to develop and tsaka binigyan ako ng medicine to stop the contraction ayon di naka labas si baby.

- mga haplas haplas pwde bayan dalhin?

2. nag pa ULTZ ako last week, same parin ung position ng baby ko BREECH position.. mag ikot paba sya?

Sana, kasi i try to deliver sa NORMAL..yaw ko sana ma CS

3. Masakit talaga ang mga singit singit ko.. normal ba ito? matagal na ito..

Mag higa ako sa right side, then kung mag change ako position to left side masakit eh move.

continue naman ang vitamins ko.. - MULTI VITAMINS - B12 - CALCIUM and IRON

Mommy Shiela, dallhin mo lahat ng mga pregnancy records mo, mga ultra sounds copy. I traveled to US when I was 5 months pregnant. And make sure na pagdating mo dito hanap kayo ng OB. You can always ask for an aisle sit pag nagpa check in kana ng ticket mo. I traveled with my husband so hindi ako masyadong nahirapan.

sweet_wifey - I used a binder and it really helped to support the post-pregnancy belly.! It was the OB who told me to use it at binigyan ako ng dalawang binder sa hospital. Talagang masakit pa ang incision in the first few weeks. Inumin mo yong anti-biotic na niresita. About sa breastfeeding, hanggang 2 weeks ko lang na-breastfeed baby ko. Yong reason ay hindi dahil sa sakit ng incision kundi sa problema sa latching na sobrang frustration ko at awa sa baby. Feeling ko ginugutom ko pag di ko pinapakain. Kaya ayon, naging hiyang siya sa bottles at sobrang nahirapan akong ipa-latch siya. Take your time sa recovery. It will take a little while, but surely it will go away.

Mommy Riza, di nman ako nahihirapan na ipa latch si baby kasi malaki ang bibig.

Sa sin is dahil sa sakit talaga. di ko maalala if anong sabi ng doc ko about using the binder. blanko kasi ang isip ko. heehhee

Low pa ang iron ko ngayon so parang im floating....feeling ko wala akong tulog..

Gumagamit ba kayo nang binder?

Sabi kasi nang kaibigan ko sa pinas eh mabuti daw nada binder..

I just recall but I am not really sure nag mention yung doctor sa akin about binder but hindi ko talaga matandaan if " to use the binder or not"

Ops! meron pa pala..sa mga c-s na nagpa breastfeed nakakaya niyo ba magpa breast feed? Kasi ako parang gusto ko nang mag give up sa breast feeding the baby but ini-isip ko na mabuti yun kay baby. Kaya lang marami akong sakit sa katawan ngayon lalo na ang incision ko.

parang uso ata dito ang cs ah...kasi sa mga show na napapanood ko about giving birth halos cs din.

yup I agree, CS uso dito because mas malaki daw ang claim sa mga insurance thats according doon sa forum na nabasa ko im not sure kung totoo yun..

my first son, natural wlang epi kaya naman ang labor pain, etong 2nd baby ko is my epi until now parang sore pa rin ang back ko, im going to complain about this back pain during my postpartum appointment..

Hello Ate Rubs, Yup masakit din ang likod ko from the epidural I thought it was just beacuse I had the baby di pala kasi if masakit pa rin sayo so side effect na pala ito sa Epi. It sucks kasi di ako makakato ng tuwid minsan dahil sa sakit at madali lang akong mapagod kapag ka sumasakit na.

Hmmm, I wonder if how long na sasakit ang likod mo after the delivery kung nagpaepidural ka? May question po ulit ako Paano kayo matulog kung masakit likod nyo? nakatagilid lagi?

Mommy Pink, I always sleep on my back..hindi ako makatagilid kasi sasakit ang incision ko from my c-s

Sasakit lang nman ang likod mo from epi if palagi kang nakatayo nang hindi tuwid at naka upo at hindi tuwid.
