  1. When i got here, i used baby wipes just like my husband but i just felt like it didnt really clean my butt well. So i stopped using baby wipes and just jumped in the shower after #2. We dont have tabo, i dont like that one either. My husband has stopped using wipes too except when we are out. He is now doing the pinoy way just like me. :P

  2. Felt so sorry for what happened. Felt so sorry for your kid too. I can understand why you dont want to go back to your province. Just always be strong. Just look at it like this... That its good that your still in the philippines because you have the support of your family and its easy for you and your kid to move on. Unlike if youre already here in the US and your fiance decide to leave you it will be much harder for you and your kid to move on because your family wont be there for you. God bless you.

  3. I was wondering if my fiancé blurry BC with be an issue at the USEM-Manila for his interview? For some reason Philippines NSO-BC comes out very blurry :dead::reading:

When he went back to the NSO office the clerk told him the embassy need to make that request so that they will issue him a clear copy in case they have problem reading his BC. I mean why wait to avoid the hassle :ranting:

    any ideas?? thanks

Its not a big deal... Mine was like that too but they never ask for a clear copy.

  4. relationship is not about jumping to another to one another. that's not real love. if i could make decision for OP...i will consider seeking marriage counseling. before jumping to an ending i rather do something/everything just to save the marriage. then if things didn't worked out still..then i guess it was never meant to happen.

If his wife said i love you to her ex then its so clear that she just didnt care of what her husband would feel. If you dont care then it only means you dont really love the person. I dont think that can be resolve by marriage conselling. And i dont think his wife was just being young and stupid. I think there is no true love at all period. :)

  5. In my own experience... I chatted with my ex bf too on facebook before... Bcoz i had this feeling of a need to have a good closure to the relationship we had so i can really move on. I never really had the chance to talk to him when i was still in the philippines. But i never said i love him still or showed any feelings bcoz i am already married...we chatted once and thats it, true that once they know your already here they will try to sweet talk to you but its really up to the person if he/she will get tempted to it. Some people get confuse to thier feelings and will try to go back to thier past and if you will choose your past and still keep the present then you are already cheating...once a cheater always a cheater and that is a proven fact.

  6. I just discovered that my filipino wife of 9 months has been chatting to an old boyfriend in the philippines and telling him how much she loves him. I confronted her about it and she says he is an old friend that she is sorry and wants to stay with me. ####### do I do?

Its okay to be friends with ex bf/gf or ex wife/husband but to say that she/he still loves him/her is a different story. Maybe shes just confused before and now she realized that she loves her ex bf than you. For me if my husband will do that im gonna leave him and he knows that hahahaha...just one mistake and your out of my life... thankfully i have a very faithful husband and he got a faithful wife too.

  7. Oh sorry daven... Not daren. Anyway, i would suggest to call and complain directly to cfo. Like acto99 since your fiancee is still in the philippines then ask her to complain about the person conducted the seminar. I dont think giving opinion against cfo here in the forum will change how cfo works neither signing a petition... You call them or go there personally (how can we go we are here in the US) then why didnt you complain when your fiancee was still in the philippines?

I would think that if they get a lot of complains then they might do something about what you think is wrong in what they are doing. Do it not just say it. Then if you cant do it then just "fall in line" with us then which all of us did hahahaha.

  8. That's kinda harsh, almost sounds like your implying that he will or does abuse her.

Daren asked about domestic problem and said he taught his wife what to do etc...not the cfo. He even asked his wife what to do in case he will abuse her. So i dont think mimi and gray was implying that in fact mimi and gray compliment darren for teaching his wife those things in case he will abuse her which mimi and gray didnt need to do bcoz he got a smart wife. :) what am i implying for? Nothing. Hehehe.

  9. My mother lost her Maiden name when she married my father so that is irrelavent.

They don't need to know me, not the purpose of the seminar. The U.S knows me like nobody's business, thats why we were approved for the visa!!!

I would have to disagree on the brainwashing, isn't it a fact that telling a fiancee going to another country, that she is at high risk of being in a bad situation not brainwashing? Did this(teacher as my fiancee called her) have facts and base her knowledge and teachings on FACTS?

I don't judge filipino's, I'm marrying a filipina who is a person and I judge her as a person. Just like I judge everyone, as a person. Are you prejudice? Are you really making this an American- Filipino debate? Shame on you!!!! My do the very many filipino's I am close to that have had the exact seminar as you have, say the complete opposite? Their the ones I formed my initial biased opinion about this bola bola seminar.

And my question to you - WHat is the reality that I'm whinning about? Please explain or are you "outta here"?

I for one don't like corrupt governments, and yes they are all corrupt, pushing me around and telling me what to do while taking my money. And especially when it is legally not a requirement to getting my loved ones with me.

Lastly, please explain why Philippines IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD that conducts this? ANd please don't tell me becuase they are concerned for their citizens or I'm going to lose my lunch!

One more note - I just asked my fiancee what she would do if I brainwashed her, turned her into a swinger, tied her up was an ####### and she said, "I don't know". I then asked her, " WHat did the CFO seminar tell you?" SHe said, " I don't know, they really didn't cover that". Such a wise investment!!!!!

Ive read people here complaining about cfo bcoz their fiancee/fiance didnt know the mothers maiden name... Why blame cfo? Why not blame each other for not sharing it with or without seminar? Some people complain about not able to attend the seminar bcoz the slot is full... Then why you didnt go early? Some people complain about cfo failing them bcoz they didnt have the documents they needed...they why did you forget about it or didnt do thorough research before attending the seminar? And if they "brainwash" people and your fiancee/fiance has this doubts and got scared about coming here and being with you... Why blame cfo? Why not ask him or her dont you really love and TRUST me enough?

And lastly why other people was able to pass cfo seminar without any problems and why other had problems? So tell me is it really the cfo's fault? Just like i said i didnt really need the seminar but if i have to "waste" my money and time to save fellow pinay/pinoy from being abuse or neglected or just from being plain stupid...why not. So im really outta here...and you are such a whinner with all the exclamation point. Hehehe you got your sticker get over it. Goodnyt :)

  10. I never had any problem when i had my seminar in cebu. I think its just common sense that you should know the person your gonna live with not just their skype id or yahoo id or just thier name. Bring all the documents you think that they will need bcoz purely they dont know your foreign partner. I dont think they were brainwashing... Its the reality that is happening. And if your not like that dont whine about it. Just bcoz they are filipinos judging americans then you have to react already...dont americans judge filipinos too? If your not that kind of person they are talking about then i dont think you have to react.

If they will ask you whats the mothers maiden name of your foreign partner then you will answer...i dont know... Isnt it weird that you know and memorize the skype or yahoo id but you dont know the mothers maiden name of the person your gonna live with outside the country and the worst thing is your already gonna leave the country soon. Some people are just so excited to go out and not even knowing so much information about thier foreign spouses thats why i think the seminar is needed. :) okay im done. Hehehehe.

  11. Where are the good stories that the CFO tells, that are a majority of the cases? Where is the positive vibes in the CFO? There are none, its something they threw together to collect more cash from the people, the people that should be supported the most and given breaks, their own people! I would be on fire if I was the father of a filipina getting married abroad, and this group of uneducated people on the world, told my daughter she was going to a country that was full of SWINGERS and she will probably be asked to be involved in such an activity. True story as my fiancee witnessed it with the girl sitting right next to her.

One more thing, filipino's are very wise people with great family upbringings. Believe you-me, their families have discussed all the wrongdoing's in the world and what could possibly happen to them. And that's where it should happen, IN THE FAMILY.

Part of the seminar is sharing some cases of filipina who was abused by thier foriegn spouses and if they told them about swingers so what? Whats the big deal out of it? Isnt it true that swingers exist? I honestly didnt know about swingers when i was in the philippines but when i got here i surely did know about it. If your not a swinger then let it go. :) The seminar is not for your own benefit really...its for the one who will go out of the country and live with a person with a different culture.

Believe me, my parents told me about all the wrongdoings in the world im sure every parents would do that but not all parents are educated enough to know where, how and what to do if something happen once their son or daughters are already out of the country. Im outta here. :)

  12. i am posting for a friend..she is now in the US on a K-1 visa but the fiancee changed his mind on the 88th day and decided not to marry. she is on her 4th month in the US. that means she is now out of status for one month..she now wants to go home so that aother K! visa would be filed for ehr by anotehr US cit...can the US immigration charge her of anything? can she be penalized for overstaying her visa? what effect can this have if another K1 visa will be filed for her by another US cit?

She needs to go back home. And if she met someone else while shes here in the US and wants to petition her i think she will be fine. She might be questioned by fraud unit in the usem about her previous petitioner and her new fiance (if she has and met him while shes here in US). But as long as she can prove that her relationship to her new bf is real then she will be fine. Ive read it happened before and know somebody but you never know whats gonna happen. For now, she needs to go back home and do it over again. :) Goodluck. :)

  13. weeeeee mahalo!! while i was in the airplane looking at the view i was like OMG is this really hawaii?? so nice and beautiful! and the weather is unexpected, it was sunny but have some lil showers :) too bad i cant drink redhorse hihihi :) but OMG jolibee!! i really like their spaghetti.. i will ask my hubby to take me there <3

Welcome to hawaii...:) there is also max's restaurant here. :)

  14. It takes 10 days to get the license. There is counseling also that needs to happen and that happens during the process of getting the license.

You may run into fixers who say they can get the license faster but is it real. You hate to have to come back to the Philippines once you return to the US to correct something.

Also what is the age of the lady. If under 25 there are further requirements.

Then if its a church wedding there are requirements for that. If its civil you will need a judge. In our case it took 2 weeks to get scheduled after we got the license.

Just a thought. Can you get married in the US and do a renewal of the vows ceremony in Phil? That removes the issue of getting the license on a 2 week trip.

Counseling is only for woman under 25 years old.

  15. I tell you what will make a c-section mom feel a whole lot worse than pain from her incision. That's people implying or saying that there was something "wrong" with how she gave birth.

Since you didn't have a c-section, you're actually not a very good judge of recovery from it. It's really not that difficult.

Dont get too emotional about what i said just bcoz you had a c section. Dont bring your frustration here. Who would want to have a c section if they can help it. Just be happy that our babies are healthy. You dont really need to make such a big deal about what i said bcoz the post wasnt meant for you. :) now snap out of it and move on. Im outta here :P

  16. What is that supposed to mean? There's nothing wrong with having a birth that way. Women of small bone structure sometimes cannot deliver vaginally. My son would not enter the birth canal because of my small bone structure. He swallowed meconium and the heart rate plummeted on the fetal heart monitor.

It's not "too bad" for a woman to have a c-section. It's a way for her and her child to have a life together.

Darren - her recovery will only be slightly longer than with a vaginal birth. Her tummy area will be very sore and she'll need to keep it covered when she bathes. She'll have lifting restrictions for a short period of time. It's really not that bad. And the good news is her bottom won't be hurting.

I say its too bad bcoz of the recovery...i am not against c section...if thats how the baby and mother can be saved why not...I was the same size with gretchen when i had vaginal delivery with my first born thats why i kinda felt bad for her that she will have c section...taking care of the baby while recovering from c section plus still adjusting the life in US and the married life at a very young age...i would think it can be overwhelming sometimes. thats why i said its too bad. But hey maybe its not too bad for both of them thats just what i think now if you think theres something wrong with what i think oh well thats too bad. :)

  17. thanks one and all. Update: 3:30 MST, going in for C-section. baby just will not come naturally. Good news is baby Princess WILL be born today and Gretchen will lose her "

basketball" tummy.... bad news is a longer recovery for Gretchen.

Thats too bad to have a c section at her age... But anyway congrats and baby is always a blessing. You are both blessed. :)

  18. When we had our first baby my hubby didnt like the idea of using my maiden name as my baby's middle name bcoz he said thats not how it works here...but of course i insisted to use my maiden name as middle name. About having 2 first names...i actually have two first names and when i got here...most of my paperworks (except uscis papers) they only use my first name not the second one. I got used to it and now everytime i sign any papers i only write one first name. My hubby has one first name too...so we only gave our baby boy one first name and so as our baby girl. :)

  19. Can a non-US citizen apply for medicaid?. I just need it to cover my pregnancy, not for permanent financial support or whatever. I live in the state of Florida.

Yes you can apply for medicaid even if your a not usc. Try to call the medicaid in your state so you can get information on what forms to fill up and requirements too. You can also apply for wic and if you qualified then you can get milk etc that wic allowed and also free formula for your baby if your not breastfeeding. Its a great help too. And if i were you, i wouldnt care of what other people say about applying for any govt assistance...its there to help people so make use of it. :)

  20. My neighbor in the philippines was like that too but it wasnt american, it was japanese. And same like your neighbor there were kids involve too. We didnt do anything, the woman and live in partner separated in the end. Unlike the dog that vanessa was talking about...a dog cant do anything but depend on people to help them but a human...we have our own mind and make our own fate and sometimes you just have to ignore things like that bcoz its not our lives anyway its somebody else's life :)

  21. when we got married last 2008, i was 24 years old and my hubby was 49 years old. Bcoz i was 24 years old under 25 we needed to attend the marriage counselling seminar for one day. It is one of the requirement in applying marriage license at that time i dont know about now. My hubby stayed for 21 days and it was stressful but we made it. :) God bless and good luck.

Let me correct it. I was 23 and hubby was 48 hehehe. Anyway, it is really important if you can ask your fiancee to check the local office instead of just asking here online though you can get informations here but its better to be really sure. :)

  22. bmtrrbt oh really. How often are these Seminars? you had to complete this before the 10 day waiting period?

i live in davao city and at that time the seminar is only once a week in each area not sure in other places though. And yup you have to take it before the 10 day waiting period bcoz the certificate that you will get from the seminar is one of the requirements for applying marriage license. That made it stressful for us bcoz we thought we wont be able to make it bcoz of that stupid seminar. But just like i said it was 2008 i dont know if its still like that now. You better ask your fiancee to go the local office and ask the list of requirements needed for applying a marriage license so you will really know and think if 19 days is enough time to get married.

You can also try brijo's suggestion coz i know somebody did that too and were able to get married immediately after they arrived in the philippines but they werent under 25 years old though.

  23. when we got married last 2008, i was 24 years old and my hubby was 49 years old. Bcoz i was 24 years old under 25 we needed to attend the marriage counselling seminar for one day. It is one of the requirement in applying marriage license at that time i dont know about now. My hubby stayed for 21 days and it was stressful but we made it. :) God bless and good luck.

  24. I think she was denied of visa bcoz the CO doubted her intention and thier relationship if its true or not maybe based on the record of a denied tourist visa and her statement saying she also planned of meeting her fiance in the US aside from being there for her friend. Maybe the CO thinks the relationship is just a set up for you to get a visa and come here in the US. I think its better if you will start from the begginning... Like go home in the philippines and let your fiance visit you there and meet your family too... If possible get married and then apply for cr1... Since you are already denied for two kinds of visa i dont think making an appeal will do good. God bless and good luck.
