  1. I am a little confused now. How does it work if you have more than one joint sponsor because I thought you were allowed more than one.

Well, your only problem is your husband's income which is not sufficient enough to sponsor you and your children... but this is not the time to worry about that now... go ahead and apply for a CR1 visa (or IR1 visa if you were married to you husband for more than 2 years) [Start with this guideline, it's gonna show you how you can do the paper work and where to file it]

You can also choose to go for the K3 (for you) and K4 (for your children) visas if you want to, and that gives you the option to divert to CR1 as soon as your petitions are approved at the Service center or proceed with K3 and K4.

it's gonna take them sometime at the service center to approve your petitions and while the process is going try to look for someone who can sponsor you and your children. [Pushbrk has told you who can qualify as a joint-sponsor for your family.]

  2. it's been 6 months 11 days since the USCIS got your I-130 [195 days] and it's been 5 months 16 days since the VSC got your I-129f [169 days] (I don't know why you filed that as long as you're saying on your profile that you've filed for CR1 visa! if you want CR1 you file I-130 only)

your petitions had been forwarded to VSC and that means that you need to be patient... if your I-129f got approved (mostly both petitions are going to be approved around the same time but your I-129f is gonna be forwarded to the US embassy in Manila first and your case will be treated as K3 otherwise if you wanted CR1 you need to wait till I-130 comes to the US embassy)

I say that you need to wait about 40 to 50 days till they approve you, according to your timeline so be patient and as you didn't have to have a lawyer from the beginning anyways, it's a do-it-yourself process, he can not do anything now from his end! but you'll need him if something terrible came up..

  3. When you create your own account on the USCIS website you're going to add your case (s) to it... then you will see in the table a column titled "Last Updated" when the date changes that's a touch...

    Hello everyone,

I am new on this board and don't know to much about the process.

I have copied the signature of another member in order to track my progress and there some steps that I don't understand what they mean. For example when they say I-130 or I-129F touched, what that mean??

    Thanks!!

Im new to this whole process as well. If I were to guess(and this is just a guess-I could be very wrong)

touched could refer to when an actually agent looks at the packet and all of its content. Please let me know

if you find out for sure. Good Luck

  4. Hello! I am wondering on behalf of my brother who has also gotten his approval today. His wife has been married previously and so has he. Is he to supply her divorce documents in packet 3 or just his own? Also, what should he provide as proof of marriage is this needed for packet 3 or only at the interview? He had sent pictures in when they sent in the I-130 and I-129F packages. Also, very important question: if you filed K3 and they send the I-129F package to NVC and your photos are in that package do they go to the embassy or do they stay at NVC? This is very important to know. I need to know for me and my wife what we can start doing now that we have our NOA2. She called to get hte case# and I did not talk to her yet because she is at work, but I suppose she got it from them already. Any help would be kindly appreciated!

    Zain

He should not enclose HER divorce decree in the Packet 3 but he should provide a Copy of HIS divorce decree and a proper translation... He maybe asked to show HER Original divorce decree at the INTERVIEW!

he is not required to provide -- in the packet -- more than what is mentioned on the list the embassy sent him... The proof of relationship has to be taken to the interview! (Pictures, phone bills, chat logs, e.mails .. etc)

it was a mistake that he sent pictures withing I-130 and I-129f Packages and I guess they'll end up in one of the trash cans in the National visa center (Sorry!) the visa is being sent electronically to the US. embassy in your country!

FOR YOU: you can start doing your medical examination + get police certificate (Translation) + Pay visa fee and get the receipt + get the military documents translated make photo copies of your passport and take pictures!! good luck :)

  5. If you fail to properly file the Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) within the 90-day period before your second anniversary as a conditional resident, your conditional resident status will automatically be terminated and the USCIS will order removal proceedings against you.

if that is true I guess your wife is in trouble! and you need an immediate action...

  6. How did you guys answer this question number 11 in the form I-134 which is: I intend/ do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3.

can you guys share some ideas... I asked the same question b4 and none gave me a satisfying answer... people who got approved a K3 visa can you please share your ideas about how did you answer that question?

  7. Overstaying means that you've stayed in the US longer than you were supposed to! which is illegal.. but I guess Pushbrk wanted to tell you that if you left the US and after changing your address you will go through consular processing instead of Adjustment of status and everything will go smoothly unless they (USCIS) found out that you've overstayed in the US and if that was the situation you maybe get denied a visa!
