When I stayed in Casa last May, I stayed at the hotel Rivoli. It was clean and I got a great deal by booking through a website called Otel.com. It actually worked out to less than $50 per night USD. If you can find a good rate online and they have an opening, I would recommend it. It is a very short walk to the consulate. Good Luck!

Good Morning all...need some info on a 'cheap and clean' hotel near the US Consulant. Looking ahead to interview for CR1 visa and dont really want to board train in middle of night to get to Casa....need 2 rooms, double beds, close to consulant....any info greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I was a bit to eager when they called him to come to the consulate after the interview. They just wanted my husbands passport.....we've not received the visa yet.

CONGRATS Thats great news....boy talk about short AP.

Well, if anyone is curious I called the consulate and they said that this is normal, to give back passport and put on AP, and that they will call him when his visa is ready that it can take up to two months......wawawaaaaa.... I'm still hopeful, just would like to get the visa in his hand, tis all.

Hey, did your husband tell you what they asked him and how long the interview was, just any details.

Hopefully AP will only last a few days or a week.

I totally agree. If you come into a county with certain religous beliefs dont expect to be welcomed to try to convert them. I am all for sharing you beliefs and religion but dont break the law in doing so.

Yes, this was in reference to missionaries there from different countries including US. It had to do with an orphanage that missionaries where teaching the children christianty and trying to convert them from Islam. (which happens to be against the law in Morocco).

What documents exactly are sent back to NVC after approval and what are taken to interview? And through what sysemt, email or postal mail?

When NVC sends out DS 230 is it sent by email or postal mail and how is it returned.

If it is sent to the benificary by postal mail doesnt this

take quiet a bit of time for this to be sent out and then for the benificary to send back?

And what other documents does benificary send back to NVC (like birth cert. medical???)

We assumed the DS 230 was taken to interview along with medical, birth cert. police record, court record, ect.

Any help would be appreciated.

We still just have NOA1 and waiting, which is ok, cause we would like

the interview to be first of June, so mom and dad can go with no

work issues. We are good, talk everyday via skype, keep gathering

proof for interview and sooooo...... We are so excited for you 2. Finally

going to be together in one place for ever.
