Thanks for your nice comment! I'm hoping things go well from here. You can see if they've 'touched' your case by signing up for updates on their website. You need the account where you sign in and it tells you the last time your case was handled. It's not much, but it's always nice when they update it and you're waiting for something to happen.

Starting DCF soon......

DCF rejected on the basis that I don't live in India (which is #######, I've lived here a year and had power bills, residency permits and more - none of which they even wanted to see). We never got past the window to start the process. The Indian woman behind the counter told me that none of the embassy laws/rules/guidelines matter. Only what she said did.
