    I am starting to worry much no, since I still haven't received my interview letter, while I am seeing people who flied 1 to 2 months after me getting theirs. :devil:

    I have been calling the uscis 800 #, I have been to info pass a week ago and there is no change, I don't know what else to do

    That would be my guess! lol

    I feel so bad to have had such a relatively simple time when some of you guys are having so much trouble!

    Just as I predicted, the issue is not the name check. I just spoke to USCIS deputy director who transferred me to somebody to take care of my case. The IO took my A# and case number and put me on hold for 5 min. She returned back and asked me if I had lived in different state before, I told her I lived in IL for a while. She stated although my N400 right now in the local office but that was not the case for my A-file which was still in IL when they scheduled my interview. I told her I have been told that my Name check was not cleared. She stated, no the name check is fine and I will be scheduled for interview very soon (within a week or two). Let us hope/pretend for now that statement is true

    I don't even know what to make of this. I called the 800 # again today.

    Though they told me about two weeks ago that my file had been transfered to my local office for an interview schedule, today the IO told me that my case is still at the benefit center; That, I need to wait at least 90 days from Feb 25th (date I was put in queue for interview) before an inquiry could be made on my behalf... :angry:

    Now, I am wondering, what to believe...

    Any suggestion?

    I got a VM from USCIS (the new standard for incompetence) today informing me that they canceled my appointment for tomorrow because they do not have my file.

    To say that I am pissed or up set is an understatement at this point, considering that they had the last two months to get the file from wherever it is.

    She left her number and her name and I can assure you that she will be getting an ear full from me tomorrow morning when I return her call.

    When IO left me a voice message she stated that my file was not ready, later on it I found out that my name check was not completed. It seems to me there is profiling going on.

    I am sorry NigerLA.... I am reading your entry, and I am so pissed off! This is umbelievable.

    @ so2008, they will never admit it, but I am sure there is profiling. Otherwise, some of the things make no sense...In other word, if there is no profiling, why name check is taking longer for the people of the same regions of the World?

    Its a strange thing they sent you a notice for the interview without a date.

    Hello everybody!

    AFter that we received another letter in Jan 09 stating he needed to bring his Driver's licence or STate ID to his interview! But there was no date specified on that letter.

    Does anyone have a clue what going on??

    DO add his timeline too-

    Sent 10/1/08.. recd 10/9/08.. NOA1.. 11/1/08.. SECOND LETTER WE CANT FIGURE OUT ( ASKING TO BRING STATE ID OR DRIVERS LICENCE).. JAN 09...

    I'm the worried spouse obviously :( . The application status says its at the Nebraska Sevice Center and being processed.

    ANY ADVICE ?? What should we do..

    Hello Meg,

    the letter you received in January is certainly a yellow page (?), if so, that's not an interview letter. You should received an interview letter after that.

    BUt, since you received it in January, that definitely long enough for you to wonder.

    I think, you are taking the right steps with the Info pass.

    thanks all! Yes, it really was fast especially since USCIS processing time page said it takes average 5-6 months at our local office.

    I think they always post longer times and that way people are pleasantly surprised when the whole process is faster than expected. :blush:

    That's why I like this forum because it gives you a better idea what the ACTUAL processing times are and you can plan better ahead. :thumbs:

    lol... Stella, I don't know about your comment that the actual is short the published processing time. Because I have applied in December, so I am in the fourth month now and I still have not received interview letter, and my district office is showing 5 month for the processing time. :innocent:

    I just hope you are right!... :dance:
