  1. I-751 waiver approved on 15th of this month. Some of you already know me because I am a silent and active observer of this forum. To cut the long story short, I arrived here in 2006 after marying USC. Received 2 yr conditional GC ending in middle of 2008. After 6 months since I arrived in USA my marriage was about to collapse. Eventually we had to separate. Separated in the middle of 2007. In my state there is a 1 year separation requirement to file for the divorce and unfortunately my CGC expiration date was before even I complete 1 year separation. Hired an attorney. Filed for removal of conditions based on "removal of me from USA will result in extreme hardship to me". Got 1 year of extension and in the meantime Filed for the divorce and got divorced in the end of 2008. Withdrew previous petition and refiled based on good faith marriage with final divorce decree in the end of Jan,2009. (evidence- no joint tax returns, no joint bank accounts, no joint lease because the house was my x-wife's brothers name, I had-pictures, joint health insurance, copy of e-mails, MANY affidavits from her relatives, statement by one counselor). I have received interview invitation 2 weeks ago. Went with my attorney and a lady called me in. She asked my current address and biographic(basic) info about me and my x-wife. Briefly asked the reason for the divorce and approved my petition because of genuine nature of marriage.

So please guys, don't be scarred too much if you divorce. If your marriage was real then you will get your GC for sure, sooneer or later. Remember, prayers always helps.

Congrats and may the Lord grant you best of his blessings in future ,i m a waiver too and still waiting after fingerprints . it s been more than 6 months since last reply . can u plz share your timelines and interview experience .we will appreciate that .

  2. Ok friends thanx so much for your suggestions and replies .i did go for infopass and got my passport stepmed with I -551. i also asked t he IO abt my case status but he did not know more than me all he said was it is pending . but i m glad he gave me the stemp. thanx frens

still i cant make my mind to travel out of states or not .

  3. Did you not get the extension letter when you applied (commonly known as the NOA1)? That extends your green card for a year, and it sounds like you still have 6 months left on that. You take that with you when you travel.

If your case has been pending for over 6 months though, perhaps they can submit a formal inquiry for you via Infopass. But I wouldn't expect they'd give you the stamp if you have a valid extension letter.

thanx for replies friends .yes i did get NOA (my lawyer has that) . as i have new passport now i m thinking that my country of orgin would not allow me to board on plane when they see my xpired green card so my concern is that if they wont let me board wht would i do ? that's y i want to have a vaild stemp on my psprt.

  4. Hi friends

i m waiting for a reply on my 751 application .it has been lilover than 6 months . i know in my case it takes lil longer than joint filing . i was just wanted to share with you guys and ask u that within next two days i have an infopas appointment with IO in my local office in which i m going to ask him to give me a stemp on my psprt so i can be assure of my entery back in states if i travel out of states.

Also i am going to ask him about my I751 that wht is going on with that and how long more it looks like that it will take for a reply .

is there anything somebody would suggest me to ask IO .help will be much appreciated.

  5. i am browsing the forum and finding many people who filed in may 2009 and are already approved! why oh why is it taking so long for mine to be approved? i understand that i got a RFE... how long can it take after an RFE? i am getting impatient...

    Hi Vegangirl

was your case waiver or joint? i think it should not take more than few weeks i beleive that u should get your answer b4 the mid of november. hope u get your approval soon .i applied in april 09 and still waiting .so all we can do is wait . my case is waiver that is y i know that it should take lil bit more time than joint filers.

  6. I have been eagerly checking the mail every day hopping of a letter from the USCIS.

Watching everyone else that filed in May receiving there approval started to worried me. In my head I kept on going over and over what could be the hold up “maybe I did not add enough proof to my folders. I should have added this or that to the files. Maybe they lost my files all together. “

Today I finally was put to ease and I am so happppy. It is funny because it was the first day I did not run to the Mail box when the carrier came by. Instead I was making a pumpkin pie. My hubby decided to check the mail out, returning with a big smile on his face. I knew then that it finally came.

    I am approved. :D:dance:

To all those that are still waiting I hope yours comes soon. Good luck

    Congratulationsssssssssssssss.

  7. I just have 2 quick questions.

What happens if you submit I-751 only 30 days before conditional green card expires?

    Anyone here had done that?

Anyone here had to postpone Biometrics because you couldn't go.

How long did it take for them to set up a new appt date for bio?

    Thx

its is allright if u have filed 30 days before the expiration of your CGC.they give you ninty days option that u can apply ninty days b4 expiration so it is up to you when do u apply ninty days b4 or 30 days b4.good luck

  8. Hi VJ family... I am new here, so bear with me. I filed for my conditions to be removed (I-751) in mid August, did biometrics on September 16... I know its early yet, but how soon can I expect to hear from USCIS? Will they send RFE or GC or Interview. I check online every day... and even signed up for mobile alert...

it depends if u filed joint then it should not take long usually but if it is waiver then it will probably take lil bit longer alomost year. i know it is hard to wait even not knowing that wht would happen but all v can do is Wait . so lets keep hope for good . i hope it helps

  9. hello there!

I just wanted to share that I got my 10 GC.

I was married, but for many reasons my marriage stop working. Then I filled for a dissolution.

With my divorce papers, I hired an Attorney and I filled for ROC. My love and my marriage were true.

Surprisily this was the fatest Immigration process that I went through. No RFEs, nothing.

I filled on May, 29, had my biometrics on july 8th and I got my GC on Sep 11th. Less than 4 months.

    Just sharing with you guys.

    Good luck to all!

Congratulations Glory to God for your approval . can u plz share with us your timelines please . i filed in early april 09 and had biomet done in late may and still waiting from that time . hope will hear son from cis. good luck for your Citizenship.

  10. hello everybody :dance::dance::dance:

I have a good news to share. i got my "Card Production Order Email" today. I had my interview on September 10, which lasted for only 3 minutes. She asked me only four questions and thats all. But the way she started asking questions clearly showed that she went through my file thoroughly. She already knew everything about my case. Then she took fingerprints of my index fingers and also took my signature and i left the building. Overall interview was a piece of cake. I am so happy and thankful to God that that uncertainty is now over. The whole case took almost 11 months coz i filed in October 08. Thank You VJers' and good luck to you all. Bye

Greatttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt , Sara Congrats ,thank you Jesus for Sara9. hope u have a good Citizenship journey now . i hope that mine will be approved too soon .

  11. Hi guys,

After 14 months of waiting and an interview in early August, I got the email update saying that on Sept 21, they orderd the new card to be produced! I am sooo happy. Although it is kinda wierd that they didn't send the approval notice first.

Thank you so much for all of your help and kind words!

    :dance::dance::dance:

Great newsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss , Congrats . i m glad for you that u got aproved after a long wait. i was wondering would u plz mind to share your timelines? enjoy it man and thank and glory to God .good luck for Citizenship.

  12. hi

I got my conditional GC by DCF, My ex wife came to india and applied for DCF, We are divorced already and i want to lift conditions from my GC. I dont have sufficent proof that we lived together and stuff and I do have proofs and pics of india and before that. will it be difficult for me to lift conditions?

    the proofs i have are:

pics that we lived together in india and US

    emails

    bills

will these documents help me to lift conditons?

    thanks

i filed waiver too . just try to submit as much as documentation u have ,that's all we can do . all we have to do is proove that the marriage was in good faith ,and that's all they r concerned abt . well i think u will be ok ,good luck to you and to me as well hahha. u take care bro and try not to worry too much we all r in same boat.

  13. hi friends i m asking this question for a friend of mine who just got conditions removed from his residency recently . he and his wife r a married couple since 4 years and they r still living together .so the question is can he file for Citizenship now or does he has to wait few more months ? he got his CGC in 2007 and got his 10 years in september 09 .thanx

  14. It is nearly time to file the I-751 to lift the conditions on my K-1 visa wife. On the I-751 form, it says to include fingerprints. I thought that this was done with the bio appt, later.

Do we actually need to have my wife fingerprinted? If so, then where do we get this done? Police Station?

    thanx, for any help,

    tomnjerry527@hotmail.com

i think not . once you file for I751 ,u will recieve letter from USCIS showing the date and place of biometerics then she will have to go and have her fingerprints don at the same place where the USCIS letter says. i hope it helps.

  15. okay i been married since nov 2006 and finally i got approved from conditional GC oct 2008 .i know i should file for remove condition after 1year and 9 month .is there a way i can file early to finish that headache??

As far as i know you can file any time for 751 after getting CGC if u r filing waiver . if u r going to file joint then i think u have to wait for 12 months. goodluck with your 751 bro.

  16. Hi Everyone,

I hope that someone on the forum can lend a hand with some of the questions I have regarding the I-751 process...

    1. Is the biometrics appt. and interview at the same time? or do I have to take the biometrics appt. before the interview? Is there even an interview?

    2. Can I reschedule the biometrics appt?

    3. Is it possible to reschedule the biometrics appt. in a different servicing center (ie. from california to vermont)?

I'm curious because I live in Hawaii with my wife, my GC expires on 12/09/09 and as such I need to remove the conditions. However, we will be relocating to New York during the process depending on her work transfer... I'm basically trying to figure out if we should ask for an extension from her company in regards to transfer or go ahead with the move and deal with resceduling the appt later...

I can't quite figure out if there will be an interview or only the biometrics appt... I would hate to have to fly back to Hawaii twice over the course of the next few months to deal with biometrics and interview.

Any advice would be helpful .

the first thing u do after getting NOA will be Biometerics .No Biometerics and Interview cannot be at the sametime as far as i know .yes first u would go for Biometerics and then after that for interview if needed ( it depends on the CIS if they want you both to appear for interview ,sometimes they dont call for interview. this is what i know that u can do your biometeric before the scheduled date by conntecting them and asking to do your biometerics erly.i dont know if u can change your biometerics from CSC to VSC. good luck .

  17. we the waiver filers are definitely a minority here. so i thought we should come together to share our experiences with CIS. coz we need more help than couples filing together.

i m a waiver filer too and still waiting a friend of mine filed after me and got approved but he filed joint. here below is my timeline .

    Filed on 04/14/09 (CSC)
