  1. hi there

we filed in late August/early Sept.

We had biometrics on Feb 13, our AOS interview on May 8 and got the approval/welcome letter on May 12 -notice date being May 11.

my status online was updated the same day as the interview stating "card production ordered". it was touched May 11 but its still saying "card production ordered" (obviously the touch was to send out the approval/welcome letters) Now waiting for the card in the mail.

Anybody with similar timeline? I'm expecting the card any day now since I was told by the IO "14 days"..it's been more than that

Is it more than two weeks already? if you really think its way beyond the time frame they give you , you should call them up and make a follow up or else make an info pass and check whats going on...because i had a friend same case as yours but she didnt do anything and months months passed by till she couldnt really wait any longer and she acted on it only to find out that the card has been there long time but they just missed it and they asked her its been sitting here long time...why you didnt act immediately...so things can happen...it wont hurt to follow up whats due for us...

So hope it helps....Just keep the faith and always have the positive perspective...

    God bless!

  2. I guess we won't know what's going on until we get there. Any news on your end?

    My dear!

I'm back! So so sorry for not keeping in touch, il try to read up since iv last been here to catch up.

  3. hi folks, I applied for SSN today but I wasn't given a number, the lady said that they have to verify my documents with USCIS first before they can issue me SSN number and it will take about 4 weeks to do this... is this normal? I read some post in here and they didn't have problem getting one...

I am gathering all the requirements for my AOS, is it ok if I don't provide an SSN number on my I-485?

thanks in advance for any info guys..

YES ITS REALLY VERY OK! GO GO GO FILE UR AOS! GOODLUCK AND GOD BLESS!

  4. CONGRATULATIONS, j_kevs and Stardust72 on your new jobs!

  5. Hello Everyone!

Quick update, sorry i didnt write long before now, after returning from my trip i travelled again...lol, been having fun

Welcome note/ approval notice and green card was sitting in mail got it out on the 20th.

Dont know how long it was sitting there though. But i see that it was returned to sender as they mailed it to the old address even though we had made a change of address ages ago and then mailed back again all by themselves, with no update from CRIS.

    It was originally mailed 3/3/2009.

I think they got issues..so more patience people. I know its hard.

Envy me thanks for the chart, still aweome almost completely blue! wow!

Congratulations to y'all with approvals and recievers of cards.

To those with upcoming interview like you my dear Nagish and others Goodluck, My non stop prayers goes with you.

Really nothing to panic for though we worry anyway.

I'm still trying to curb my internet addiction, also trying to get my nursing and midwifery certificate & license evaluated here so i can write the board exams and work, they make the whole process so hard!

Il still be here and hope y'all find time even in your busy schedule to drop a line or two every once in a while.

Jkevs where are you? lol... whats going on with you now that the green card is there?

How about you Vida and my very many friends? Hope life is treating y'all well

All the Best my friends... God has been faithful.

  6. Hello Everyone!

I'm back from my brief holiday was nice and exciting to be with family again and sort of short too!

As for immigrations, i had no problems using my advanced parole....

As for my status still remains same since 27th and i think its weird... says card production ordered since 27th, no new touch or update

    Question.....

Do you think i should make an inquiry as to that? or just wait?

    Hi,

    Nagish, Jkevs, Vida..!

Thanks for your prayers and goodwill, i'm back safe and sound!

    :thumbs:CONGRATULATIONS GIRL!

Im so glad to hear from you, WELCOME BACK! So nice to hear that the trip went really well!

My GC was approved Feb. 13, then i got the welcome letter on Feb 27, it was dated Feb 17 postmarked Feb 18. GC was received on Feb 27. Maybe those dates could help you estimate your expected time of receipt of the GC. You can also use the time frame of those who dont have interview just like your case. You didnt receive anything in the mail while you were away? During my interview it says 4 to 6 weeks, then the letter said 2 to 3 weeks.

Hope you will get it soon, so that our happiness will finally be complete.

Im sure nagish is very happy for your return.

Again, i am so glad to hear from you again...We miss you here!

    Take care and God bless!

I will continue to pray for you....

  7. I think its better for you to file for your SSN first before getting married since you came here on a K1 visa.

As K1 visa holder you are allowed to get SSN even before getting married, its better if you do it far before your I94 expires so its easy for you to process it or else SSA will give you some headache and will just say you have to do ur AOS first.

ITs good u have your SSN already as early as now while the processing is still easy. And once you get married just go back there and present ur marriage contract to have it change to ur married name.

God bless and you can make it.

  8. Hello Guys!!

    YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

We just came back from the interview!! and it went fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!!! it was soooo quick!

He did not ask for any family picture, Marriage certificate, joint tenancy, bank accounts, letters..... NADA!

I spent the whole night putting stuff together however he did not ask. He just asked for the birth certificate of our daughter and said I was approved! YAY my heart almost stopped at that time. I also asked if I can have a stamp I551 cuz we are going to Mauricius for our Annyversary in a 3 days, so he said noooo probs he said "just get out my office I got a lot to do, Congrats! you are officially a PR of the USA!!" he was really nice, but he told me that the stamp might delay me at the airport cuz some officer at the port of entry do not know what the heck is a stamp I551, so we are a lil scared about that.

Again, do no overstress your self, I have exams today and tomorrow, I was sooo stressed that I did not study so I'm bout to fail them midterms :'( but at least I'm happy that the battle is over until 2 years from now.

We were shocked to see couples stressed like crazy at the office, not talking to each other, shaking, impatiant... we were chillin and watching TV :) LOL

Also I thought they would ask evidence of emergency because I put a service request on the case so that I can get the interview ASAP and my reason was I was leaving the country for 3 months and that I don't want to miss the Interview, but like i said NADA.

CONGRATS ENVYME and everybody! and GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YALL.

DIEU MERCI!!!! Oh mon Dieu la vie est belle!!!!!

    XXOOXX
