You can also find her A# at the approved K1 NOA you recieved from the UCIS, under her name in the beneficiary section where her A# was printed.
Well, I looked there originally but it had my A number only and written in both boxes, that is my box and my husbands box, the a number in the back of the passport is different from this so thats why I am a bit confused

I got mine off the back of the I-194.
the white perforated paper? I -94?
In the back someone (I believe the uscis officer) wrote A ## ### #### (8 digits) is this it?
That's the one. Mine is stapled to the passport page.
Yep his too.. perfect!
thanks for this! =)

Hi All,
I was wondering what the A # in the form was? Is that the alien registration number? If so can I find that in the passport of my fiance? We don't know which number is this... any help is appreciated!

Hi All!!
I hope all of you are doing great!!!! How is everyone doing? So sorry it has taken me so long to reply! Matt arrived here safely and it was great! Now busy planning the wedding! Hope all of you are in good spirits!

Hi Guys! Sorry I havent had a chance to pop in earlier but its sure been crazy around here!
The trip went ok ... I nearly missed the flight from Sydney to San Francisco and was the last to board!!!! mainly because I had 2hours connecting and they loaded the plan way to early .. thank goodness I was to lazy to go hunting for the train and ended up catching a taxi!
The flight itself was ok and met a nice lady to keep me company and yap to in San Francisco for the 4.5 hour wait ... her flight was a couple hours after mine and she gave me a hug and wished me well when I caught my next flight to Boise....
Getting thru immigration was a total breeze .. it took no more then 10-15minutes and it almost felt like something wasnt right but I got my I-whatever so no drama ....
The flight to Boise was on a tiny little flight and the woman sitting next to me was a crabby cow that pretended was asleep and wouldnt even look at me ... to that point everyone was very friendly but honestly I was so nackered by then I really didnt care if she wanted to talk or not .... LOL Shay was already there and waiting for me but I was in such a daze I clear missed me and he had to walk right up to me before I saw him ....
The couple day stay in Boise was really nice ... Thats until I discovered my luggage I had sent ahead with Jetta hadnt arrived! United Airlines apparently kept my luggage in the Sydney Airport for an entire week and so we had to head home and then do the 3 hour drive back to Boise to pick it up!!! as you can imagine I wasnt impressed!
Anyway a week later I was able to get it and the customs guy is like put down the value is $200 soo I didnt have to pay the customs fee soo I was happy about that ... I still had to pay the $25 handling fee for United though, which I thought was rude since they misplaced my stuff to start off with .. Arrrgh.
Apart from that, I get on with Shays family and theyve all been nice .... the people around town that I met are also nice... the country side is gorgeous! and I keep meaning to go out and take some pics before the snow melts ... The weathers been gorgeous at around 30 degrees except yesterday and today which is 13 degrees and Im freezing my tooshy off!!! Qld winters average around 15-18 ... Ive also been having trouble with my Astma and have been nasally and congested .... Im not sure whats causing it but I think its from the wood heating around town and theyve had a couple fires and been also burning off some another thing is the food colourings ... I need to take a bit more careful not what Im eating me thinks .... The supermarkets are amazing ... I cant get over how cheap things are in comparison ... Selections and options are 10 fold .... Cable drives me nuts, I cant believe you can have so much channels and have nothing to watch LOL .... I have however been watching My big fat redneck wedding as an incentive of what not to do LOL ...
Annie Ive missed you too darls, things must be getting close for you guys?
Cham good luck with the big day ... we still have a ways to go with the plans ... we have our marriage licence and have ordered the wedding cake soo far ...
Anyway must head off and do something .... Im still trying to organise my rubbish, the garage is stilll full of house stuff and Shays books ... I dont know where its all going to go but I've been working on organising the walking bedroom closet since yesterday and Im nearly done ... Still have a box of my Miscellaneous to sort thru ... Arrrgh ...
Anne!!! I was sooo glad when I saw you posted!! We absolutely missed you! So glad it went well for you! Although I am sorry for all those little mishaps! Well the wedding date is getting close so I bet you are a bussy bee! Matt is flying out tomorrow (Sunday his time) Saturday my time and I will be seeing him on Sunday! I can't wait!!! I am so exicited... I already made up my mind and it's only one day till I see him again since the night is over! So saturday and that is it!!! Oh my I am so excited!!!
I hope everyone is doing well!!!
-
Congrats Kat!!!
Hope all of you are doing well!
I haven't been on for a while, wedding planning has me pretty bussy, so soon before Matt gets here, I can't wait!! Hoping and just praying time flies!!
How is the rest of the crew doing?
Mz how is the baby?
-
Good luck on your interview Kat!!!!!
As for me here, Rich sent off the affidavid of support and the rest of the documents today via express int'l...so as soon as I get - hopefully next week, fingers crossed...then I can send the packet 3 off and request for an interview date..
Just wondering...once you send off the packet 3....how long does it take for them to respond to let you know that theyve received it..I'll be sending it off by express mail (next day delivery) ..also, how long does it take for them to issue you with an interview date after them receiving it? Im just trying to timeline this all ....My K1 approval expires in June and i want to get it done sooner rather than later just in case i get a slip requesting further evidence (ie, financial support, etc)...
I am also wondering how Anne is doing in the states!! I cant wait to hear from her and since she's never been to the states, I wonder how she is adjusting...
Ours took about 1 1/2 weeks I wrote Sydney embassy an email and asked if it was received yet. They were fantastic folks and never got tired of my hounding questions! LOL
You will more then likely receive your final packet via email with your interview time and this can take up to a month SO be ready...IF you have everything in order you should be fine!
YES ANNE how goes mate?????
Kai will be here in 3 days I am soooooooo EXCITED!
Up to a month? wow I hope I get all the documents early next week if thats the case! Thanks for your response. Yeah, I've contacted the Consulate via email a couple of times and they've always been very prompt. Im really looking forward to the interview to just get everything out of the way already and just relax and enjoy the rest of my time here in Sydney. I still have a fair way to go as I leave Oct 31 but eager to get this whole interview/visa thing done with!
How exciting is it for you to have Kair there in 3 days!!!! woohoooo....
Are you talking about when you send all the doco's to the embassy? If you are I think it depends, because we sent the documents in and then about a week later (Look at my timeline) we had an interview date... now from the time the packet was actually received by the consulate and our interview date it only took four days!
so it depends really!
Hope it works out for you!!
-
For those of you who have already had your final interview, what did you bring with you? I've got a copy of the first packet plus the three things I was asked to bring in packet 4 (express post bag, passport, receipt of visa fee) plus some further "proof of relationship" such as emails, photos and a copy of my engagement ring receipt.
Is there anything else I need? Oh, and how early do I need to be at the consulate before my interview time? Thanks.
Hi Girls!
Thats all you need, you both will do great! As long as you take what they asked of you in packet 4, and more snippets like evidence (just in case because they barely ask for it!) be there at least 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment interview!
I miss Anne!!! anyone heard of her? I know she is already in the states, she said she was going to get here April 14! hope she reports soon!
How are you doing!
-
LOL it does sound yummy!
I know what ours is going to look like, we picked the design and everything, like I said we are just waiting for Matty for the flavors.. I tried their signature flavor, vanilla rum, it was very yummy... We are allowed to pick different flavors for each tier, so we will see what we pick! I think everyone on the visa process will honeymoon inside the states, obviously! We are going to the Carolinas, the mountains, Matt loves all that stuff and I've never seen mountains in my life! Florida as flat as you get so I am exicited about it!
-
Thats an awesome price for kai's ticket cham! Where the hell did you find it?
Also when does he expect to have his visa on hand?
he was told not to pick it up they would mail it...THEN they had him get the wrong parcel LOL CALLED him the next day said can you pick it up SO he has the visa IN HAND now
I went to cheaptickets.com My travel agent helped me out:)
Woo hoo!! COngatulations Cham!! and all the others who got their VISAS!!!
I've been bussy wedding planing... we picked the cake this tuesdday with mom, when matt comes we will pick the flavors.. LOL couldn't do it without him of course!!
How is everyone else doing around here with their wedding plans and their travel plans?

ahhhh FFS my saga with DIAC (department of immi & citizenship in Australia) continues. If you think USCIS/NVC is bad.. DIAC is SO MUCH worse
We are at the second stage removing conditions stage of my husband's visa and they (in Canberra) have set me around in circles since I first contacted them in early February. It takes them ages to respond to an email (much longer than their 5 business day target time) and every time they give incorrect information or neglect to respond to all my questions. I still have unreplied emails from over 3 weeks ago - this is from both the general email line and from the Manager of the branch (who sent me an apology from when I made an official complaint about them sending my documents to Western Australia instead of Washington, USA!). I still haven't received those documents yet by the way. My last email was to ask how I can have my case transferred to Washington DC .. I guess they don't know so they are just going to ignore it?
But basically since the first stage of our visa was lodged outside of Australia, the rules say the second stage can also be processed outside of Australia (Canberra has confirmed this also - they just haven't told me how). Since it's taken Canberra so long to respond a few days ago I sent an email to the Embassy in DC and pretty much begged them to take the case so that I don't have to deal with Canberra anymore. Long story short they got back to me today, again with incorrect information and said they can't process it for us.
WHY are you people sooo stupid!?
I am so sorry to hear about this Kaffy!!! If they would just work well from the beginning they wouldn't have upset people complaining! Geez... I hope it all works out for you!!
Anne...everyone was very nice and courteous according to Matty.. so all good! Wow you have so little to go! The 14th you'll be hear!!! yay.. Matt will be coming the 26 if the L-rd wills... Just 3 weeks to go.. I hope it goes by quick and painless... it's been too long!!
Hope all the rest of the crew is doing well!!

Thats the happy dance!!! I just got a call from Matt!! We got Approved!!! Thank the good L-rd!! Baruch HaShem!!!
Well like most, they didn't ask him for ANYTHING! LOL ... he took a huge thick folder of evidence and nothing was asked for... the officer that interviewed him ask him when he was planning to get married he said may 31 (which is officially our wedding date!! woohoo!!).. and then towards the end ask him if he was going to marry me... my poor babe is half deaf and didn't understand the question instead he said no! LOL!! he said the officer gave him a puzzled look and when he finally repeated the question he was oh YES YES YES!!! haha found that too funny!
Anyways I am so relief and just bursting with JOY!!
Thanks to all for all the help!!
Wooohoooo.... Im soooo happy for you!!!! Congratulations to you both .... How did Matt go? was he nervous? I found the staff really friendly and so I was pretty calm ... Did Matt feel the same?
Hey there friend!
He was a bit nervous! but then calm right down! Everyone was really friendly Matt mentioned that the officer that interviewed him was the same that interviewed him and denied his B1/B2 visa.. he was a bit nervous about that but mention he was super friendly and everything went great! Absolutely no hassles!! I am so excited!! I'll get to see him iin 26 days!! and we marry may 31!!!!

Finally got the I-134 and supporting docs back from Matt today. I've spent the last 90 mins assembling packet 3 to send back to the consulate tomorrow.
I've got:
Form DS-156 — Nonimmigrant Visa Application (2 copies)
Form DS-156K — Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Application (1 copy)
Form DS-230 Part I— Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration
Form DSL-1076 — Applicant’s Statement of Readiness to be Interviewed
Form I-134 from Matt — Affidavit of Support
Matt's I-134 Supporting docs: letter from bank, letter from employer, several pay slips, several W2 forms
New letter of intent from Matt stating his ongoing support of K1 and willingness to marry me upon my entry to USA on K1.
My original birth cert. and copy
My original police check and copy
Copy of biographic page from my passport
Medical results (sealed)
Does this sound right? After looking at all these forms my brain is a bit on the fuzzy side.
Sounds like you have everything you need!! Hope you hear back from the consulate soon!!
Got Interview date- less than 3 months from filing
in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

What Can we expect at the interview, should we take anything extra that is not requested??
