  2. So it is almost time for Yoko to arrive in the US with her K1 Visa on Feb 26th. So of course we have tons of questions for this AOS process and I hope we receive all the great support like we did during our K1 Visa process. First off our most important questions is with the SSN and getting married. I know that Yoko will have to wait at least up to two week for her SSN info processed, but that will be for her maden name. but we would like to get married asap and actually have the chance to get married the week she arrives. It this ok to do and then when visiting the social security office present our legal documents of getting married to have everything changed?

We are alittle confused to just these first few small steps leading up to applying for the AOS… All coments welcome :)

  3. He then told Yoko she would receive the packet and passport in about a week.

that statement leads me to believe they are sending the sealed packet to her with visa in the passport other wise why keep the passport?

    sara

I guess she gave her passport in before the interview. I guess this is given with the I134 and other supporting documents before the interview. I would assume that she would receive her passport back if she failed but I really have no idea... Keep the ideas coming please...

  4. So Yoko just left the Embassy in Japan literally 10 minutes ago. I'm really really confused though. I asked her if she passed or failed and all she said is the interview went very fast, only 4 questions, and the person that did the interview said we had a unique situation/relationship. He then told Yoko she would receive the packet and passport in about a week.... Then the interview was done and she left the US Embassy.

    Soooo.....

What the hell does that mean???

  5. So I sent my fiance....

    I-134 completely filled out

Bank Officer statement letter regarding my bank account

    Complete Federal Income Tax filing

I am trying to get a letter written from my employer showing salary and length of employement....

What else is needed for my fiance to have at the interview. I am going to write an actual affidavit of support letter but do I need a notary public to sign it?

    please help asap

  6. We received the Packet 3 from the Japanese Embassy today. Just thought I would share...

Congradulations!! Did you or your fiancee receive any notification from the embassy prior to receiving the packet 3?

No we did not. I was sent a letter from the NVC and about a week to a week and a half later Yoko received the packet 3 from the embassy

    Congrats!

I am assuming your interview is about a month away now?

Hopefully. Once Yoko gets the packet 3 filled out and sent back she will be ready. Can you answer a few questions we have for you redglasses about the interview questions and final materials needed?
