My husband (the USC) only had one year of salary that was consistent. And it did work. Basically, I think that they look for potential more than real salary. If I were you, I would just give it a try and, if it doesn't work, I would get another sponsor. But for the moment, you can try this way I think. Hope this help. It is all just based on my experience. Good luck with the rest.

I guess the reason why you do not get any reply is because we don't know. Someone told you not to bother, I would have included a letter I guess. Do you have any way of asking a lawyer about it? That's what I would do, I guess.
Take care and good luck.

Thanks again. You seem to be a great ressource for me these days.
Take care.

Dear all,
I am preparing for the interview and I would like to know if I need to bring the affidavit of support that my husband has sent to NVC and that they have received? Because the point is that it is in the USA, and I am not sure if I should ask my husband to send it to me?
Thanks for your replies.

Hello,
I am not sure but I think that you can file for expedite. Not sure if it will work but it is worth trying I guess.
Good luck.

Thanks to all for your answers.
I am gonna get to work for this interview, trying to gather all the papers.
Thanks again for reassurance and good luck to all.

Hello all,
My husband is the US citizen. We are done with NVC. He got via email my interview date 10 days ago. But I still haven't received anything by regular mail. Is it normal? Am I supposed to receive something via regular mail?
Thanks to all and good luck.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I thought that you had to have all of them done when you do green card but that you could just have one done in a series for K1 or K3. Anyway, I shall see. I am trying to get a hold of the doctor.
Good luck to all.

Hello all,
I got my interview date for in less than a month and all of my vaccines need to be redone:
Measles, Mumps and Rubella, and Tetanos. Can all this be done in time before the interview? I am worried that measles would be two shots? Am I wrong? Because if it is two shots, I won't have time to do them before the medical and would have to change my interview date for later.
Any help?
thanks.

At the very beginning, when your dossier just arrived at uscis, nobody knows you applied for a green card, so you can cross with absolutely no problem. However, after a few weeks, I am not sure.
Good luck

Thank you very much for your answer. That's reassuring. So many people prepare crazy things for the interview that I get worried though we have been a couple for 9 years and a half!!!!! crazy, right?
Thanks again. Good luck for your journey.

Hello all,
my case is at NVC right now. I sent all they asked for. I am hoping to be approved any time soon.
I see that a lot of people bring to their CR1 interview all the papers of the Affidavit of Support and all. I am worried because we sent everything to NVC and thus do not have the original copies anymore. Shall we reorder some? I believe they should have my case with them at the interview that's why I didn't keep originals.
Thanks in advance.

MMW,
this is impressive! I didn't know you needed all that. I am going to start to collect again things. I sent everything to NVC. Do you think I should go to the interview with all from the affidavit of support? I thought that since you sent it, all should be fine.
Anyway, good luck. I have copied and pasted your list to start mine.

The DS-230 has 2 parts. Sign the first part, not the second because, as you said, it needs to be signed at the embassy.

It is the same as USCIS. You don't have to pay for a professional translator. However, you need to have it done by someone else (a friend?). I got a friend to do it for me.

hello,
I can only answer about the proof of bonafide marriage. You do not need to send all that. It says "examples". I could not send all of that of course, but sent what I had (not much - don't remember exactly), and that was enough. Do not think that everybody sends all that.
Good luck.

Hey,
just use anything that helps you be happy. You can't know how long it will take you. I just really hope that it will be fast. The most important is not how long it is, it is how happy you are during the process.
Good luck.

I did. I am at NVC right now. Just sent today the DS 230 package.

Hello,
I am a french woman going through NVC too these days. I believe there is nothing to give. I am not sure. Which stage are you at?

H1B and Green Card do not conflict. When my husband (the USC) moved back to the US, my lawyer told me to try to look for a job on a h1B while waiting for a green card. I couldn't find a job so did not do it. But I remember she said that H1B is "dual intent". Good luck.

The only thing I can say is that if I would have done DCF, I would already be in the USA. Right now, I am only at the beginning of NVC. Good luck for all.

Good luck. It could happen.

I can confirm. No need for police record for the USA. Good luck for the rest.

As I am getting ready for the interview, I can tell you that more than anything, you need copies of all the things you sent to NVC. This is not required but you need to have it in case NVC has not transfered it. In terms of original copies, I would just look on the website of your embassy. It really shouldn't be much. I would really work on getting all the proof of relationship. It can really take a while. And fo course, work on NVC (because you really want to be ready so that it can go faster). Take care.
