  1. Hi All,

I had mailed in my last missing doc on Apr 22nd. It was scanned into the system by NVC on Apr 30th. Just wanted to know how long will it take for them to review it and complete the case. I spoke to a few operators and they say 2-4 weeks but after checking some timelines of our VJ members I have seen it takes about 5-6 working days after the document has been scanned for the case to complete. Please help me out if you cant in letting me know the approximate time... just kinda tensed as I dont want to miss the interview scheduling dates next week!!! We have had a looooooooooong and stressful journey like most of us here have had!!!

    1 year

  2. Don't go all touchy when you don't get the answers you were hoping for. We are telling you what it is. No one in here will advocate doing what your "girlfriend" plans to do. It is fraudulent and dishonest. If an immigration attorney advises you to follow up on your "plan" -- he or she is also advocasting breaking the law.

As much as I could feel bad for your "girlfriend"; the fact that she is an adulteress cheating on her husband with you; and planning to treat him like an imbecile to obtain a green card makes my stomach turn. I feel for the husband; and pray he finds out what you and her are up to.

I agree with Len. The fact that she is still married to her husband no matter how pitiful you paint her situation is, what she's doing is wrong. She should have gotten out of the marriage legally and remove conditions based on that fact. I am not suggesting she intended to commit fraud when she entered the marriage but she is now, based on her relationship with you when she is still married and her plan to wait until she gets her 10-yr GC before filing divorce.

I thank you all for the responses. And yes, some of these seem to be hurtful and crude, but I do not know the way these things work. I was unaware that my girlfriend could file for I-751 and also file seperation/divorce from husband. I was under the impression that in order to remove conditions she had to be with him until the 10 yr green card was approved. If there is a wait or another way to do this, then we will do it. We are both quite niave on how this process works and what needs to be done. We are kind of afraid to consult an attorney as we do not want to be lead down a path of no return and no choice. I dont know if I am making sense...but I will see what I have to do from here for her and I....and yes, we both want to do what is right and correct for everyone involved.

ITS FRAUD BABY, I BEEN THROUGH IT...FRAUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD BUT SHE WILL WIN THE CARD BECUZ SHE IS WOMEN

  3. Hello Everyone,

My Wife’s CR1 VISA APPROVED!!!!!! I would like to Thank Visa Journey and everyone who have helped me throughout this visa process. I also like to thank the creator of LingChe’s shortcut and Loto’s guide, without this guides I don’t think it would be possible to finish this journey this quickly. Following is my wife’s visa experience at Mumbai consulate.

On March 30, 2009 my wife’s CR1 visa was approved!!!! She arrived at VFS at 6:15am. The Stars and Stripes Lounge was closed at this time and she waited outside with a large group of people all having their interview that day. Finally at approximately 6:50am Stars & Stripes opened and she went inside to deposit her purse and mobile phone in a locker, because you are not allowed to take such items into the consulate. Then she got on the shuttle bus at 7:20am that took her directly to the Consulate at about 7:35am. She then went through a security checkpoint and then got inside the consulate at 7:50am. My wife went inside and an Indian officer gave her originals back and asked for VFS receipt. The officer returned the VFS receipt back to my wife along with a token. Then within 20mins they took her fingerprints and asked for original interview letter for K3 and CR1. This is where my wife told them to process CR1 visa instead of K3. Then at 9:30am they called her name for the interview with the American officer. The interviewer asked if she wanted a translator...she did but she gave interview in English. My wife took an oath (to tell the truth). Then the (female) American officer asked the following questions:

    Who is your petitioner?

    What is his name?

How did you meet your husband?

    What is your marriage date?

    Who filed for your husband?

How long has he been in the US?

What does your husband do in US?

    What is his employer name?

Why do you thing your marriage will last?

What did you see in your husband?

Where does your husband stay in US?

Does your husband have any siblings?

    Are they married?

Where do they stay in US?

Then American lady officer saw our whole wedding album, honeymoon pictures, other ceremony pictures and asked my wife to identify where is your in-laws in the album.

The interview was over within 10 minutes. The American lady officer didn't ask to see phone call record or any other proof of relationship, nor did she ask for any additional documents. The officer was polite and nice during the interview.

Then the officer said "CONGRATULATIONS. YOUR VISA IS APPROVED. We will courier your visa within few days. Then my wife went back to VFS office to collect her stuff and asked them if she can pick up the visa in the evening.

Then later that day my wife went to the VFS office between 5 PM to 6 PM. They asked for Identification and the VFS receipt to pick up the Visa. VISA received!!!!!!

Once again Thank you to all VJ members for the great information & help provided through out this immigration process.

Best of luck to all of you!

    mubarak hi

  4. I filed for my I-751 on 02/15/08 jointly with my husband, we are still happily married. I sent my Mortgage, life insurance, health insurance, my 401k, taxes 2005, 2006, 2 letters from friends and my sister in law, house taxes, bank account statem, ents of the last 2 moths. I did not send pictures because all are in my computer and did not think they will even look at them (like last time in my interview for AOS). I did received a biometrics letter on 03/26/08, i went and everything was ok. Because i did not received the extension letter I called 1800 and then is when they told me i have been transfered to Vermont (I did not received a actual letter), so i asked for a duplicate. I received the duplicate on April 19/08. Since then i did not hear from then, until i got woorry and my extension it was about to expire. I scheduled a INFOPASS appoinment last friday and there they told me my case was denied back in January (i have not received a letter as today) She also called Vermont from there and told me to wait, after an hour later Vermont called back and informed her that my case was in the clerical office (preparing the letter to be send) and that in the letter will explain the reason why i was denied. She did stamped my passport for another 60 days. We are desperated we do not understand why they will denied my case or why i have not received a letter or a explanation. She told me if in 30 days i do not hear from them i will have to come back.

Do anybody has heard about something like this before please advised us. We are worry. It really make me sad the idea of leave my Husband, my house, my family. My husband said he will go with me if i have to leave, but i do not think that is fair, He has a son from his previous marriage that i love like mine, and i know the kid need him too. We will have to start over again from Zero in my country, after working really hard to make this my home. I will really appreciate any advice.

She also told me that it could be something it will be resolved easy and she was really sorry that she could not tell me a reason or give me an advice or what to do.

Thank you VJ's and i really appreciate your best wishes.

This is totally sick.........Look at the divorces they approve them without any interview or anything, they should give you a interview you are still married good luck

  8. hello everyone,

just need advice on this. i recently filed for a k1 petition for my new girl in the philippines and got the NOA1 last oct 29, 2008. there are some questions i want to know if there would be some problems when it comes to my fiance's approval to get the k1 visa. I am a US citizen and was married to a filipina last 2000.i filed for her IR1 visa on 2004 and she got her visa and left for the US last april 2008. i met another filipina last 2005 and got a baby with her (who is now a US citizen btw). it was all because i fell in love with the new filipina but still continued for my first wive's IR1 petition. my first wife has forgiven me after everythin that happend and things are going well among the 3 of us. we hav agreed to get divorced the moment she gets her SSN. now that she has her SSN and now working, i went to guam last may 2008 and filed for a divorce after a month of staying in guam. i got the court order that we are finally divorced last august 2008 and immediately filed for the k1 visa for my new girl. we got the NOA1 last oct 29,2008 and went back to the philippines to stay with her for a while again. got in the philippines last nov 4, 2008 up to the present. my question is, would there be some complications as far as being with my new girl in the middle of my first wive's petition? i got divorced before filing the K1 visa petition but our relationship is active since 2005 before my first wife got her IR1 visa.

My second question is, about her point of entry. i filed in the guam sent it to CSC but i was wondering if can her point of entry be in new york or in hawaii, not guam?

I hope i can get answers from you guys. i know our relationship is really interesting and kinda messed up but were going thru it.

    thank you guys!

dude this looks like fraud i would get a good attorney

  9. Hi all,

I'm a member here, but I don't want to post under my regular name because I'm too embarrassed about what's been going on...

I've been messed up for the last couple of weeks here... My husband, who I worked long and hard to get to the US awhile back, I found out recently was having an online affair with 2 girls in his home country. It looks like this was going on before he came here too... He has his conditional green card now.

He's told me that he kissed one of them one time when he was out dancing (yeah right) and that that was it. But he was for sure writing her. Before we got married, after we got married, the whole bit. Telling her that he loved her...

The other one he swears was just online writing, something that he did to pass the time.

Keep in mind that this man and I have been together for 2 years now. We did long distance to Peru from the US for a year and a half before he got here.

This all got started because I found a picture of him in our pictures section (I was going to look at our wedding pictures) and there were all these little pictures of kissing, hugging stuff, stuff to put on someone's page on a social networking site. I was like, "What??" Also there was a picture of him that someone had downloaded and then wrote "I love you" on it...

I checked the social networking site and found out that he had a second profile! One that said he was looking for open relationships and he was friends with all of these other women. He'd also been emailing them through a second email acct that he created to communicate with them. Such bs... I couldn't even believe it.

He's deleted the second profile and the second account since I found out about them, and he swears that he'll no longer communicate with them. That it was just some stupid silly game that he played to pass the time since he wasn't able to work yet. Supposedly everything is ok between us but I'm just not convinced. He's probably just going to call them on the phone now.

That I'm the one that he loves... now of course I'm wondering if the whole thing was just a scam to get here... how else could I feel differently? He was telling the other two girls that he loved them. What a crock...

I feel now like my whole marriage is a lie. I don't really know if he loves me or not. I told him that if there was any doubt in his heart that he should let me go and get on with my life. I've lived for him for 2 years. I feel so stupid.

Any thoughts? I really need some help.

have him deported notify uscis and file divorce

  10. Hi, I recently got married and I've been here in the US for 3 months now. We filed for AOS the last week of Nov. But I still haven't received my biometrics and interview date. My problem is that my wife doesn't love me anymore because she has found someone else. It is really so painful and I don't know what to do anymore. I got here through a fiance visa, we got married and filed for AOS. To what I understand, if the marriage won't work then I must go home so I won't be permanently ban here. I want to stay here for the sake of helping my family but at the same time I'm scared of the consequence of staying here. What should I do? Please help me because I'm really so confuse and miserable.

Tough one. If there is a possible way your wife may clean her act up then try to make the marriage work.

What does your wife want? Divorce? or what?

tell her to hel[ u get the card and see if it works out, try to start a family

  11. Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if someone will be able to assist me on a technical point. I filled for a divorce in California about 2 months ago and it takes about six months to get the divorce certificate. I am suppose to get my divorce certificate by April, 2009. So, I went to the judge and got the form FL180-Divorce Judgement signed by the judge. The judge signed on the document which also indicates that as of now I am single but I will not be able to marry till april ,2009 and not get by my divorce certificate till april, 2009.

Can I send in the signed fl180 form that is signed by the judge with I29F which shows that I am single as of now but I have to wait till april 10 to get married. I just want to start the K1 visa process so I can save sometime. Would this work.

    Please help me.

    :bonk:

wait till its official, my ex screwed me in 07, frauduently married me to get in the country asked for divorce i filed in may 07, and on Oct 07 it was official, I checked with a attorney to see if it was Ok to remarry a foreigner again and petition she said no prob i married in april 07 filed throught a attorney and still waoiting. 12. Not sure where to post this

I have a friend who is illeagally in the USA. She has been here for nine years and has had a child here in the USA. She got a notice for a deportation hearing for jan 14 2010. They are even slow on the deportaion lol

Any way the question being will they deport her seeing that she has a USC child? It is my belife that she will be deported when she has her hearing other than the child she has no other reason to beable to stay here

the child will probably go to social services and she might be deported

  13. VOF,

The operator was telling you the truth. When a file is moved from one stack to another and/or picked up and looked at but not worked on are all considered touches. The person that touches the file just makes note that the file was touched.

She said that the appliciations that have been recieved and pending are still at the chicago lockbox, and since my notice date is may 16 for I-130 and June 6 for I 129 that is when they will send to VSC.

Have you checked your status online? You can register with the USCIS and it will only show what office the application is at and if it was touched. https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp If it states the file is at VSC then I would say that this is the blind leading the blind. They have changed the way they process files since my husband and I were in this part of our journey.

Hope it is not too much longer on your case before you are approved. I know in the past alot of the cases for Islamabad were running around 6 months or a little longer for a NOA 2.

    thanx

I had a touch in July and Sept.

  14. its that time of the month again...in about a week - ten days, USCIS will release its monthly processing times. even though we all know that its a bunch of BS, i put my money on VSC dates changing to an April date for I-130 and change back to 6 months for K3...what do you guys think?

i think same s--- tehy will be like we havea new director and he is still in training and retraining everyone. I do not hope so but lets see

  15. Hello,

I called USCIS, today and some ------ told me that touched does not mean a thing. They said that it just means that the applications were updated and not particulry mine. She said that the appliciations that have been recieved and pending are still at the chicago lockbox, and since my notice date is may 16 for I-130 and June 6 for I 129 that is when they will send to VSC.

Anyone here of anythingn like that or its just the normal at VSC blind leading blind and Overpaid and Umderworked.

    thanks

    VOF

  16. Hi Everyone,

What a funny co-incidence for us (AntandD) that approximately in July 2009:

    1) We filed for the I-751/10yrGC (in August of 2008), and based on the following:

Visa Journey's Unofficial VSC I-751 Status List:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110056 (scroll to the last updated page)

USCIS' Official Processing Times for VSC List:

    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDis...e=serviceCenter

I-751/10yrGC Estimated Due Date (11 months waiting, filed at 'VerySlowCenter'): July 2009

    2) We (Ant, actually) are/is Pregnant, and based on what was confirmed medically, is the following:

Our Baby's Estimated Due Date (9 months waiting): July 2009

*Therefore, which will arrive for AntandD first: 10yr Green Card or Baby?*

Your vote and opinion here is greatly appreciated! As well, any other ideas, thoughts, advice, suggestions, etc. posted below is greatly appreciated too. Thank you!

Good luck, to everyone here for the rest of your immigration journeys too!

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC, Still waiting for our Baby...)

    baby, more precious than card

  17. So looks like what I need to do is file for a motion to re-open. I'm guessing I need to use FORM I-290B correct? And explain to them that I sent the information within a timely manner and attach a copy of my certified mail receipt showing that it was sent on the 12th of Nov. By doing it this way, will they re-open the case??? Should I get a lawyer involved now or wait until I know if they approve the motion or not?

    Thanks for all the responses

get a lawyer Pathak and Shah is great if ur from NJ
