Hello,
I have a quick question. My Cousin's wife is a permanent resident in the U.S. She would like to bring her son over here. She has been approved by the USCIS and the case has moved on to NVC. The next step is to fill out the I-864 and the DS-230. Problem is she hasn't worked in the U.S for the past 7 years, she's been living in her home country traveling back and forth. Obviously she would need a Co-Sponsor I am aware that she still has to fill the I-864 even if her income is $0. But my question is Who can be the sponsor and What I-864 would they have to fill. Would it be I-864A, or I-864EZ, or some other version?

Thanks both for your reply.

My interview was Oct 27th and we still haven't received the greencard, SSN, and work authorization number. How long after the interview do they arrive.
According to your timeline you entered the US on Nov 5th... It can take a month or so for the greencard, you can go to the local Social Security office and apply for the card and will get it normally within a week or so...
Interview date has nothing to do with when you receive the green card, it begins to get processed once you enter the USA at the POE
Aha ok. They don't automatically send you it with the Green Card? I thought they did that now?

My husbands interview yesterday went well the Visa was approved and he will pick his passport up tomorrow, however, the CO told him that he has to send some bank paper over stating that hes had activity on his account. What is his for? I'm not sure if they are looking for bank statements? Or some paperwork stating that activity has happened with the account. Anyone know about this?

Speaking from experience, how difficult would it be for someone to obtain a visa if they are married to a U.S Citizen but have previously overstayed a visa.
Did you overstay with more than 180 days?
It's not me, I was wondering what the penalty would be if someone overstayed a visa a year from the expiry date.

Thanks that was very helpful

How long does it usually last?
Hi,
I answered to this same question you asked before in a previous thread of yours. Here is my answer: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3351628
No need to post a new same thread when you've already been given an answer before...
Good luck
I asked about vaccinations in that thread. Not the duration of the medical.

Show what immunization records you have. If you don't have any, as OBX said (nice to see you again!!!), they'll give you what's appropriate for your age group. The vaccines are given in instalments. Your first batch of shots should be enough for the interview and visa. I myself was worried I might get quarrantined or something until I got all the shots. But it wasn't a problem at all. Went smoothly.
Note to women beneficiaries: make sure you get a pregnancy test before going to your medical.
Thank you all for your replies, all were very helpful.

Are they required before the medical or will they be given during the medical? And where if they should be taken before the medical?
they will be given during the medical according to what's missing (either in ur immunization passport or the teter??? test)
Thank you, The immunization record should still be submitted though right? Even if they do the teter test?
