  1. LOL I am at a stage where I am getting mad that Thanks giving and xmas are coming :P

Yeah me too! Hopefully our case gets finished before thanksgiving and don't forget there's the upcoming elections too! Are they on holiday when there is an election? Here in the Philippines the world stops when there is an election even if only a few percentage of the population is voting...hehehe.

  2. thanks for that info, so it would relly take a while even it will come out negative? Thank you for all your prayers guys..

yup, after the 3day sputum tests,he will be asked to go back the following day to find out about the smear result, and he will be told to call slec after 2mos,that's the standard waiting time.

hope slec wont call him within that period otherwise he'll be under medication for 6mos.

good luck.i'll pray that he'll finish the 2mos waiting period

thank you so much,,can he call like for follow ups even its not 2 mos yet?

Hi! sputum test with culture will take like two months since they need to culture it. Mashado sila takot na magdadala tayo ng PTB sa US since it is already eradicated in 1st world countries eh samantalang sa atin it's very common. I hope it's nothing serious since the treatment for it will take almost 6 months plus you will spend money for the meds and you cannot skip on the meds since you might have a med-resistant PTB which is very hard to treat. So if it comes out positive (i do pray that it's not) just be religious with the taking the meds. Do not skip a day when taking meds. Good luck. Kinakabahan din ako sa medical since i know nga almost all filipinos carry PTB virus when checked. Good luck!

  3. Wow, been gone for a couple days and all i see now are completes. Congrats you guys.

Your journey is almost overy. I hope all of you get to spend Christmas with your loved ones.

Thank you MrsRowe, and i wish you the same too.

    :yes::luv:

Congratulations reehon! Yours was fast. I hope to have no RFEs! My hubby just mailed the AOS/IV package back to NVC. Hope to hear from them in a week or two. Congrats again! I'm happy for you.

  4. did u pay online? ure almost there so i think it will be finish by november... i hope we could get in for december interviews...

Yup we paid everything online. Now my IV status says PAID! My hubby is yet to submit the AOS and he's waiting for my DS-230 which is on it's way via DHL. He will still have my mom-in-law notarize the I-864A so hopefully as soon as he receives my package he could already send everything to NVC. How long do they usually process the AOS and DS-230? I'm really praying hard not get any RFE's! Please please pray for us. Thanks!

  5. Hello guys!

Do you think with the way my processing is doing, matatapos na kaya NVC case ko by November? and then will I get a December interview? I'm worried since December is kinda short since there are many holidays for that month. But I really do hope to get an interview by December. What do you think? My husband and I just keep on talking about this whole thing whenever we chat. We just talk business and forget about making lambing while chatting heheheh. hay. i'm excited!

  6. oh no. I mailed AOS package last week and called NVC and the AVR said the documents were missing and mailed me a letter. I just send in the DS230 package yesterday too and was hoping to have AOS cleared this week before they reviewed the DS230. I will talk to an operator Monday but could this be that they missing the DS230?

    Hi kman!

Is it okay if we submitted the DS-230 first or together with the I-864? We already paid the IV bill online and we're just waiting for the status to change to "PAID" before we send out he DS-230. My husband (petitioner) is still having difficulty fixing the I-864 documents and we already have everything for the DS-230. So will this be okay to send out the DS-230 first before the I-864? Thanks!

  7. So....I am just waiting for my IV Fee to be generated so that I can pay online. In the meantime, I have the entire packet together for the DS-230. My one questions is whether I need to have the police clearance certificate finished and sent in with the packet. I thought that you only had to bring that to the interview but now it seems that I have to mail it in with the DS-230 packet. We actually have one certificate but my hubby didn't realize that you need the fingerprinting too. So he had to go redo it. Do you think it would be okay just to send the certificate for now and the fingerprints later? Also, if I do need the fingerprinting for the DS-230 packet, can I just have him send them directly to the NVC to add to my file or should I wait for him to send them to me and then send them all at once? It takes usually 10 days quickest to get here from Australia. Yuck!

WAIT WAIT..what fingerprints you talking about to be sent with DS230? there is no such thing i read to be attached

    only items are

    -marriage certificate

    -birth certificate

-police certificae (local and passport office) depends upon location

    -photo

    -photocopy of passport

    -Cover page from website

    -signed form

    Hi Paul's Mrs.

I have read in WIKI guide that we also need to submit 2 affidavits from third party who can attest that marriage is legit. Do we really need to send this along with the DS-230? Thanks!

  8. just fill out the GREEN FORM if you're to get it from NSO serbilis centers but if you're requesting it online, just fill out the request form on CENOMAR. as i have repeatedly mentioned in my previous post, it will NOT yeild that you are single, instead it will show the marriage you have contracted here in PI.

request for the CENOMAR and you will see what i mean..and with regards to what family name you are to use, use your MAIDEN NAME. :innocent:

    Hello again MJ3lasvegas,

Thanks for the reply and thanks for explaining it as well. They just want to make sure that I am only married to the person who sponsored me to go to the US. I will just probably get it online since you know how it is in NSO. hehehe. Thanks again!

  9. I'm now worried, my wife and I didnt catch this cenomar either. She has her interview Oct 22nd...I have a question about this. If she gets it done on monday and has it before the interview, its going to slow down visa deleivery right? Also it wasn't listed on her appointment letter from USEM. Was it on your appointment letter? Thanks

try securing the marriage index as early as now. you can request for it online (NSO website) and pay through metrobank first thing monday..if she gets it before interview, chances are she'll only received pink slip (with instructions to pay delbros) and if there won't be any other problem (ie DV or any additional docs to be submitted)..

and NOPE, the marriage index (CENOMAR) was NEVER mentioned in my appointment slip..but i just brought it with me..

    Hello MJ3lasvegas!

How can you get a CENOMAR if you're already married? If I apply for one, will I use my maiden name? I'm confused. hehehe. Well I am still in the early stages of NVC processing but it does not hurt to be prepared. Thanks.

  10. Hello to all!

I noticed a big difference in me after my I-130 has been approved. Whenever my husband and I would fight (over chat or the phone), it is simply because of one thing, I was too tired of waiting for us to be together! Before my approval, I am really lazy in getting up from bed and preparing to go to work. (especially when you wake up all alone in bed). I really hate talking about my migration to the US. I really get upset when someone asks me "when will you join your husband in the US?" I mean it's not that easy to go the US! and someone would suggest, why don't you try getting a tourist visa? As if it is that easy for me to get one!!! With my background on physical therapy and my husband's pending petition, i'll be denied just by thinking of getting a tourist visa.

Anyway, i think that was the "old me." And here comes the good news, my husband's petition got approved after his citizenship! I was still a bit of a nagger after that because i really want to get the ball rolling like prepare and submit everything we need since I really don't want to waste time and be with hubby ASAP. But now, I think i'm better since my papers are already at NVC and we just need to be on our toes when it comes to submitting everything. I am slowly looking forward to waking up in the morning because i know that it's a day closer for my hubby and me to be together forever and not just together for a two-month vacation or something temporary. Now i'm getting nervous and excited at the same time since it will be a new life for me waiting in the US with my husband. We will be starting a new life together finally after 2 years of being married and 8 years of having a relationship with him.

I don't know if i am the only one experiencing these things when it comes to waiting...i just need to hear that someone out there also felt the same way...

  11. Dear All,

Just received our Case Number from NVC last Sept 30. They informed my husband that they are going to send the AOS Bill etc next week. (1) Will they just send the package to my husband who is in the US or will I also get a copy?

I was checking at the NVC site the forms needed for the NVC processing. I checked the DS3032 (choice of agent) form there has already expired (2006). (2) Is it the same form they are sending the petitioner and beneficiary via mail?

Just to clarify, (3) can I just email them the cover letter for DS-3032 from WIKI or do i have to attach a filled up form with the barcode in it?

I notice that some of you guys do not send the DS-3032 by mail and have a success in just notifying NVC through email. (4) Is this really advisable to just email them the cover letter (with or without the DS-3032 form)? Anyone is free to help us out. I know we're just in the first stages of NVC and i am already confused! hehehe. Good luck to us all!

  12. Approved on 9/26. :dance::dance::dance:

One month after got transfer from VSC to CSC.

I almost lost hope but vj friends kept my hope high and said I will approve soon and I got approved. Thanks to all specially pappu1980.

Now, I can join september approval thread for NVC tracking. Here I come NVC.

For those who haven't got approval yet, be patient. Approvals are coming soon. Best of luck.

Congrats! I also got approved a day before yours. Is it okay if we keep in touch just to help each other out with the NVC processing?

  13. Anyone out there approved in September? My case has been recieved at NVC but no case number assigned yet. What about you. Let's work on this together.

I just received email notification that my petition has been approved yesterday, September 25, 2008. My husband and I are excited since we did not expect it to be this soon. He just upgraded my petition to IR-1 last September 19. I really do pray that this is a good start for us. When should we receive the notification and the instructions and what should we expect after NOA2? Thanks!

  14. Hello Friends,

My apologies if this has been discussed previously...

I filed I-130 immigration petition for my wife in Feb 2008 while I was still a Legal Permanent Resident. I became a US Citizen in August 08 and have the following questions regarding upgrading the petition:

    1. Does the Service Center (VSC) issues a new NOA (Notice of Action) indicating the upgraded status after receiving my request for Upgrade? How can I confirm that the Service Center has in fact complied with my request?

    2. After the upgrade does the Priority Date remain the same as of the original application (I-130 filed based on green card) or it now becomes the date on which the Upgrade went into affect?

    3. Any advantages in filing for K3 Visa simultaneously while the I-130 is being processed?

Any experiences that folks can share would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance.

Feb. 14, 2008 -- I-130 Sent to USCIA-Chicago Lockbox - filed for spouse based on greencard

    Feb. 22, 2008 -- NOA 1 Received from VSC

Aug. 22, 2008 – Become US citizen, calledUSCIS to upgrade I-130 from F2A to CR1-IR-1 category

Aug. 23, 2008 – send a letter with copy of certificate of naturalization to upgrade the petition.

Sept. 22, 2008 – No status of Upgrade and cast is pending.

    Hi Neostar08,

My hubby and I are in the first stages of upgrading his petition. The day after his oath taking, he already sent the cover letter, Naturalization certificate, and the receipt notice (from NOA1) to CSC. It took him a week before calling CSC since we were still debating on what's the fastest route to be together. Right after he called CSC, our case was touched already and it has been touched again today. It is almost two weeks since his citizenship and a week after he called the CSC. I do hope that everything will move smoothly from hereon. Also "listen" to Nimche's advice.
