  1. you are not denied sis...i think its just because the pink slip is just a note instructing us to pay for the delbros delivery fee at the pavilion,.. i heard here they will use another courier so no pink slip for now...

Really? They don't give out pink slips anymore? even if they just changed their official courier? How would i know if i passed or not? I know receiving a pink slip is not a guarantee that i am approved or not but it would "somehow" lessen my stress knowing where i stand after the interview and not just wonder what the outcome was... :o

They still give out the pink slip. Just had my interview last Jan 22. even if they changed courier, they still give out the pink slip for you to present when you pay for the courier service.

  2. Oh, thank you!

Yes, I'm married, so I will be just needing Marriage Index.

How long did it take you to procure the Marriage Index?

It took me 10 days to receive the Marriage index. I just had it delivered instead of going to NSO. So better get your marriage index now to avoid any delays.

Congratulations! :star: As far as I can remember, you will only submit photocopies of MC or Cenomar to CFO but they also require to see the originals but better call them na lang before you go so that your time won't be wasted in going there with incomplete requirements :)

Thanks for the advice. I will just do that.

  3. I am already in the process of fixing my stuff for my departure to US. Just like any other pinoys out there, i would rather pack my things that can fit in balikbayan boxes. Where can i get the sturdiest balikbayan box that can hold my stuff together for the entire flight? Thanks!
  4. Congratulations Ynatots...

I'm on my early 20s, so I need CENOMAR too or Marriage Index? (correct me if Im wrong.)

Just preparing papers I will be needing by the time I'm about to have my interview.

hi. ay pardon me. common term lang pala kasi yung CENOMAR. I see that you're under cr-1/IR-1? I'm assuming you're married already. If you're married, it's marriage index. but if you're not, CENOMAR lang. it's not age related. Thanks anyway! good luck!

  5. Hi to all fellow applicants approved in September!

I just want to thank you for all the help. I had my interview today and I passed! I'm now waiting for my passport to be delivered. Everyone in my family is happy. All my friends are happy for me and my husband. It's the best birthday gift ever!

Just click on the interview experience, although it's not detailed as other interview experiences. ;)

    Interview Experience

  6. Yes, I'm done with the interview today and the fun part is, I passed! My appointment was at 830 am but I was interviewed by the consul officer at around 915 am already. I brought a laptop bag with all the evidences in it. I thought they will still be asking for the I-864 and the tax forms. But they didn't since my husband already submitted it to NVC. I think I overdid the preparation for the interview. But it's okay. At least I can now relax and just book for my flight to California. The questions asked by both the pre-screener (pinoy) and the CO were almost similar.

    - who is the petitioner?

    - how old is the petitioner? how old are you?

    - when did you meet?

    - what's the work of the petitioner?

    - who is the co-sponsor?

    - how often does your husband visit you?

    - when was the last time you saw him?

    - have you been to the US before?

I almost forgot, I was asked to submit the CENOMAR, pictures, letters, emails, phone bills by the pre-screener. She did not really scrutinize the evidences. I think as long as you have them, you're good to go. They did not return the CENOMAR. Now my question is do i have to get another CENOMAR from NSO for the CFO seminar? or will the photocopy suffice?

They are now in transition phase of using Air 21 as their official courier. Delbros will be ending their services for the US embassy by the end of the month (as what the guy from Air 21 told me). So i'm just waiting for my passport and i am in the process of booking for a flight...going to try to be with my hubby on Vday. hehehe.

Thank you guys for everything. For making me feel that I am not alone in this obstacle. I thought that I am the only one experiencing the hardships of a long distance relationship until I got to know this forum. It will be my pleasure to help those who will be undergoing the same process that I underwent. I think that's the best way i can repay those who enlightened me in this forum. Congratulations to all those who passed the interview and good luck on our new lives with our spouses in the US.

  7. Hello,

i am wondering if anyone can tell if immunizations are provided to those who need them or do not have records of any immunizations?

    thanks

    bill

Yes they provide immunizations during medical. The doctors will interview the applicant first for past medical history to determine the immunizations required. They will ask where you want to have the immunizations done. Since immunization fees are already included with the fee of the whole medical examination, just have it done at SLMCEC.

  8. I have 2 questions

    * After upgrading,r v suppose to get some kind of confirmation that petition has been upgraded?

    * Does the upgrade date is considered as new receipt date for petition filed by a USC means like a fresh case or do they count the time since the case was originally filed when it was filed by a GC holder?

I am so fustrated,I sent in my naturalization certificate and upgrade request in oct 08 and called on 3rd jan just to check status for approval.I called again today and the lady over the phone told me it was just upgraded on 3rd jan. What the hell..............Shoudn't it have been upgraded when I requested it in Oct.I have no clue what is going on???????She also told me that now it is in the queue as if u filed on jan 09.I am going crazy.Every time I call its a bad news. When I went for my info pass, they officer said it has been upgraded but in system petitioner still showing as green card holder. It seems like all the lazy people who have no clue how to work efficiently and precisely are working for USCIS.GOD HELPPPPPPPPPPP MEEEEEEEEEE :(

Mine is also a case of an upgrade from petition of a GC to a USC. A day after my husband's naturalization, we sent CSC a request for an upgrade in the petition. 2 weeks after his naturalization, we received the NOA2. (he was naturalized on 9/11 last year and we got an approval on 09/25). My petition was filed at CSC. I think VSC works much slower than CSC as what I have read in other posts. But once you got approved, it will be much faster in NVC. Good luck!

  9. parang gusto ko na talaga umiyak...nakakaloka..

after 1hour of trying to get through in the embassy,na contact ko rin pero bad news pa rin, whoah!!!!!!!!!

nasa consulate pa rin daw ung papers ng anak ko,i asked why it takes that long e yong kasabay nya ng interview at nag submit din ng additional documents 1 day after we submit ours,e may visa na...sabi naman nong lady bka daw nd load yong consulate nya...unfairrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! naka timing daw kami ng consulate na workload...grabe naman...bka daw abutin pa ng 1 month..sabi ko,i already have travel plan, ayon napagsabihan pa ako.

oh guys, please help me to pray...PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Sorry to hear about that. Ako rin eh may travel plans na. pero wala pa namang ticket. Maski sa Jan 22 pa ang interview ko. Ano additional documents ang kinailangan mo isubmit? Sana maayos din yan.

  10. Me: "Where would you like to eat?"

    Mags: "I'm not bothered."

    Me: "Mexican?"

    Mags: "Hell no!"

    Me: "Chinese?"

    Mags: "Ugg."

    Me: "McDonald's?"

    Mags: "No."

Me: "Then...where do you want to eat?"

    Mags: "It doesn't matter."

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

    (I think it's a woman-thing, not a culture-thing)

I agree with PlatyPius. My mom is like that whenever i ask her where she wants to eat, she would say, "anywhere is okay with me." And then I will suggest, let's eat at French Baker. Then she would say "hmm...what will you eat there? i couldn't eat anything healthy there." Definitely a woman thing. Can also be a Filipino thing since we are too timid to say what we really want (maybe it's also caused by Spanish colonization) or we just want to make the lives of Americans more difficult...

  11. hello all...

to all pinay na gumagamit ng yasmine..anong side effect sa inyo?it was my first time to take birth control pills and my ob gave me yasmine..its my 2nd day of taking it but i feel so defferent...masakit ang ulo ko..tapos masakit ang tiyan ko..dinatnan ako..i read a link about yasmine they say its normal and i will just wait for a couple of month..natatakot lang ako kasi may iba na ang side effect sa kanila dumadami taghiyawat..ayaw ko mangyari yong tsaka swing mood...

Hi! I'm taking yasmine for ilang months now because of my polycystic ovary and endometriosis. Luckily i did not experience those side effects. I wonder if they have the same brand in the US. Kasi i need to take those until lumiit ang mga cysts ko. hehehe. Do you also have the same condition as mine? Sabi ng Ob-gyn ko if i experience anything with the pills, sabihan ko daw siya kagad so if the symptoms/side effects persist, better check with your Ob-gyn para she can change your meds if needed.

    4. CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE RECORD (CENOMAR). If you have never contracted marriage, a CENOMAR (Singleness) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper should be submitted. You may call the NSO Information Center at 02-737-1111 to inquire on securing a CENOMAR or visit their web site at http://www.census.gov.ph.

Hi ruby_jade. I just want to confirm, National Indices of Marriage from NSO. When I applied I asked for CENOMAR but since I am already married, this is what they gave me. Now only less than a week before my interview, parang naguguluhan na ako. Just to make sure, what I got from NSO looks like this:

    Republic of the Philippines

    National Statistics Office

Office of the Civil Registrar General

    TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be advised that the search for the name (my name) alleged to have been born on (my birthdate) in (birthplace) to (my parents' name) yielded one name most likely match in our National Indices of Marriage

    _______

    Date of Marriage:

    Place of Marriage:

    Name of Bride/Groom:

    _______

This certification is based on the records of 1945-2008 marriages enrolled in the database as of September 30, 2008.

So is this the one you also have?

thank you so much. Sobrang tensyonado na ako. I have an officemate, i don't know if she's a VJ member but i refer this forum to her. She had her interview yesterday for K1 and she passed!!! I'm green with envy but at the same time i am happy for her. Hay!!! gusto ko na matapos to!

  13. hi, my fiancee is from the philippines, she is 2 months pregnant, i want to ask what will happen when she goes to the medical exam at st lukes, will she be able to go thru the medical exam, and also will she be given the required vaccinations and x rays? please if anybody has gone thru this process before, i would appreciate if anyone can tell me what the process is like, i plan to be with her when she goes to the medical and interview, but i just want to know what to expect. Will they deny her the medical exam and make us come for the medical exam after she gives birth?

    thank you

Hi. I just had my medical last week. I saw some pregnant women there. I think your fiancee can still undergo the medical exam. Of course she won't undergo the usual routine like x-ray or have vaccinations. But she can still have the blood extraction, physical exam. Most probably, St Lukes will just notify your fiancee's condition to the US embassy so there won't be any problems with that.

  14. heyy, good luck to you! you guys are very strong! i should also start doing the pic pasting soon... just last week my hubby was still here visiting and he brought some old cards and letters i sent him from years back when we are best friends and later when we are a couple.. so sweet that he saved them all, and so good that we can use them for the interview, haha. ;) all the best to us ehh?

I think Faryan, the best part of this whole process is we can have an excuse to go back in time and be nostalgic...like look back on how you first met, your first kiss together, your first everything! It's kinda mushy but it just makes you smile and cry at the same time. Good luck on your interview as well.

  15. I feel you. That happened to me two days ago when i was preparing everything for his interview. I saw old pictures and old letters and old :) promises. Love to compile everything for him so he will remember. We've known each other for 14 years and we've been married and yet apart for 6 years. Just like what you've said we've been married for 6 years and yet it feels like it's just about to start. When friends and family ask me about his petition, I always say "I will finally be married".

I hope everything will go well to your interview. Good luck and be very happy.

    Hi Jonah VD,

well i thought i have the worst situation here. How were you able to keep the marriage going for 6 years, being apart? I could not imagine myself being married for 6 years in a long distance relationship! But I'm glad to see that you will be having your interview soon and you will be with him already. Good luck and i know that this is going to be a great year for all of us!!!

  16. Hi!

I don't know if anyone of you experienced this. I was fixing the pictures that I will present on my interview next week and suddenly I felt like crying. I've known my husband for almost 11 years now. We've been in a relationship for 5 years when he moved to US then we're married for 2 years now. I've been looking at our pictures together from high school, college and then his most recent vacation here. I couldn't believe that we're almost at the finish line (that's how he quote this whole ordeal). I am so excited right now. He is also. We've been chatting often now since I just resigned from work and I have more time to go online. We thought we won't be able to see this day coming. But we are almost there and it is such a great relief. I know that the interview is going to be great next week. No worries from us although i'm a bit anxious to get this over with. Please pray for us because it's been so hard for us being away for 5 years and even going into a long distance marriage. I even told my hubby awhile ago, "you know what, I'm ready to spend a lifetime with you." It's weird because we've been married for 2 years now and it was just awhile ago that I feel we are just going to start a new life together.

  17. does anyone know if i can call usem to set an interview date once NVC processing is completed or do i have to wait for the date NVC assigns? this is with CR1 visa........tnx for any info!

NVC assigns the interview date. You cannot do anything for now just wait for the interview date from NVC. Call them again next week for the interview date.
