Thanks for keeping us straight Yurika & Jim
It never occurred to me to keep the instructions, sorry.
Thanks a lot!

I feel like I was better prepared the first time around because I was nervous. For me, having gone through one part of the process has given me a false sense of security that I have this ROC part in the bag and I kept postponing to send the packet. That fear of unknown the first time around has made me very diligent in preparing the packet for the AOS part, and I don't feel as confident about our ROC journey.

For those of you planning to sent your ROC packet via overnight mail, just in case there is another ignorant person like me out there FedEx DOES NOT DELIVER TO PO BOX ADDRESSES. UPS AND USPS BOTH DO.
Just an FYI so you guys don't run around post offices like I have today
Best of luck!

Finally managed to mail our package today ( I updated the list below to reflect new date)
You know when I said I wasn't freaking out? Well that changed quickly So I held off on sending our stuff without checking over it couple of times.
I still forgot to include cover letter, but that wasn't on uscis must list, it was suggested in guiedes, but the way I organized our file should compensate for the lack of cover letter.
I made tabs, sectioned off important documents in an organized manner, and I am kind of a neat freak so it should be okay.
Like previously stated, I have done a terrible job at adding my husband's name to our accounts, so here is what we got:
1. I-751 form and the check for $590 - drawn from our joint account
2. copy of green card front and back
3. since husband went back home for 4 months when his mom died and I wasn't sure if that counted as "residing at any other address" I included our travel ticket stubs and itinerary to show we went together, but he returned later.
4. application for joint bank account at my existing bank, basically adding his name 5 months after he arrived. And copy of voided check from our joint account
5. bank statements for that account for every other month, and I have highlighted the lines where it shows direct deposit for paychecks for both of us, and where our mutual bills are debited from that account, such as rent, car insurance, renters insurance, payment for our furniture and TV, cable bill and electric bill, to show all our income goes to one account and all bills are paid from that account
6. Three (3) copies of lease signing and lease renewal , out of which we signed only one together. First one i signed before hubby came to US since i wanted an apartment set up before he comes so that he is truly coming home and not living with my parents as previously agreed; our renewal the following year came up while he was back home after his mom died so again only my name, and the last one signed this year with both of us present. I printed out statement to show lease from 2009 to present and both our names are listed as occupants, and I wrote to please refer to bank statements and see the rent is being drawn each month from our joint checking account. I also included my original application for the apartment where I have listed my husband as co-occupant back in 2009.
7. copies of medical id cards showing both our names, statements from our medical insurance provider showing medical treatment for both
8. benefits enrollment page at my job showing my husband as the primary beneficiary on my life insurance, 100%
9. car insurance policy and insurance id cards with both our names listed as insured. Since my dad has the title to the car the insurance said they can only list me as policy holder and not my husband, but we are both insured drivers, so hope that counts
10. our renters insurance policy with both of us as policy holders
11. cable tv statements, account under both our names
12. electrical bills and statements with both our names (the first couple months have just my name since I had to hook up water and electric before he arrived, I added him later)
13. copies of his drivers permit, drivers license with our present address
14. paystubs for both showing our present address on both
15. statements for furniture and home tv theater purchase although in my name but showing payments are made from joint checking account
16. 40 pictures of us together over the span of two years
17. some postcards and wedding invitations addressed to both of us, even though they have been sent to our old address - my parents house, which is address on all of our CR-1 and AOS documentation.
18 Oh yeah, a big one! Tax transcripts for the last 3 tax filings - filed married jointly. The last 2 transcripts show our present address
Hopefully this will suffice, but I did contact the human resources at the corporate office at work to issue a letter to show I had my husband as beneficiary of my life insurance even before he lived here and have had continuous coverage all these years.
I will also have my family, co workers and my boss write an affidavit and keep these things ready just in case of an RFE, which is likely.
We really don't have anything other than what i have just listed.
So funny thing happened today while I was at the post office - turns out the guy right behind me in line was there for the exact same thing, he was mailing their ROC package/additional info to Vermont USCIS.
What a small world!
Jason, if you're reading, good luck again, let's be VJ friends!
Hubby's green card expires on the 8th and today is the 5th, so everyone say a quick prayer that USCIS gets our package on time!

Sending our package off today, working on it as I am checking out the guide. My husband's conditional green card expires on December 8th so we are cutting it reeeeeeeeeeeeally close For some reason I am not worried about it, even though I have done a terrible job at collecting evidence over the last 2 years and reading nothing but the guide on top of this page + the instructions that come along with I-751.
I let months and in some cases a year pass by before adding my husband onto certain accounts, lease, etc. but we entered this marriage in good faith and I believe everything will sort itself out, I am sending anything and everything I am finding around our apartment that shows joint accounts, address, etc.
I remember when we were sending off our CR-1 paperwork there were different addresses for processing centers depending whether you are using a courier service/commerical services vs. sending it regular snail mail. I don't seem to find different options for ROC, so since we are living in Texas I am mailing our package to the following address via FedEx overnight:
USCIS Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Welden St
PO BOX 200
St Albans, VT 05479-0001
If someone could confirm that this is indeed correct and put me at ease that would be most helpful
Looking forward to meeting all my fellow December filers and spending many, many months with you during this waiting game.
Best of luck!

Forgot to add that a letter would probably help. This is what we are trying right now. As long as you update everything and let them know that it wasn't intentional, everything should be fine. If you inform the USCIS that you still received mail at an old address, this might help. On their web page it says that you do not need to include temporary addresses as long as you maintain your present address as your permanent residence and continue to receive mail there, so the fact that you continued to receive mail at your old address ought to count for something. Specifically, the relevant law says this: "any alien who fails to give written notice to the Attorney General, as required by section 265 , shall be taken into custody and removed in the manner provided by chapter 4 of this title, unless such alien establishes to the satisfaction of the Attorney General that such failure was reasonably excusable or was not willful." If you send them a letter telling them that you did not do this on purpose, you should not have a problem.
Thank you soooo much for your kind response. As followed up on another thread, I ended up including letter in my packet, explaining that my mailing address remained the same. I got a notice of address change back from USCIS and it appears that everything will be fine.
You are very kind to respond with such an insightful answer, thanks a lot!

Hi guys, I am on the same boat. I just did my AR11 and about to send I-865. We moved to our new permanent address May of 2009 (I am way overdue to notify them). But I have read positive feedback that there is nothing to worry about. So hang in there, I think we're all in the right track.
I just want to clarify this before I send my I-865, is this still updated?
Where to File I-865 :
If you new address is in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, mail the notice to:
USCIS - Vermont Service Center
75 Lower Weldon Street
St. Albans, VT 05479-0001
If you new address is in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Texas, mail the notice to:
USCIS - Texas Service Center
PO Box 851804
Mesquite, TX 75185-1804
If your new address is in Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, or Nevada, mail the notice to:
USCIS - California Service Center
PO Box 10485
Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0485
If you live anywhere else in the United States, mail the notice to:
USCIS - Nebraska Service Center
PO Box 87485
Lincoln, NE 68501-7485
Thanks everyone.
Same info I used and received NOA that they updated my address, so looks like this IS the updated info.

I am a little worried (okay, terrified) because I failed to understand that we were supposed to report change of address within 10 days of move. We moved to a new address right after POE which was in 2009 and as I am preparing for next step (lifting conditions)to send paperwork in September of this year, I just now read this change of address deal!!!! We have received all correspondence on my parents address which we used on all forms in the past.
I quickly submitted AR-11 online just now and will mail I-865 tomorrow, but I am terrified because it says failure to report address change withing 10 days is in violation of my husband's visa conditions (
I was thinking of including a letter with I-865 to show good faith, my husband's drivers license and all documents are issued for the new address, but I am still terrified of consequnces that we did not report the change of address on time.
Has anyone had any problems with this? It says consequence can be deportation !!?!? or fine.
Help! Anyone else got caught up in finally living together and just forgot about reporting new address? Tell me we will be fine?
So just as an FYI for anyone else who happens to forget to report change of address:
I ended up filling out AR-11 and sending in I-865 and a letter explaining our situation.
Got a NOA today where they acknowledge address change for both our permanent and mailing address, so doesn't look like this scary part about deportation is something we should be worried about.
Good luck everyone!

Moved to our new address right after POE (2009), got green card and other communication on old address which is still my parents' address where we still receive some mail (bank statements and some other financial info) and we are planning to use it as mailing address when I send in I-865.
I am freaking about the part where it says failure to notify of new address within 10 days of move is a direct violation of my husband's visa conditions, and can be fined and or deported !?!? Our move was 1.5 yrs ago!!!!
Has this happened to anyone before where you didn't tell them about new address until it got really close to the 90 day period (we'll need to file in September)? Should I be getting a lawyer or do you have any experience with this that makes me not worry about it?
I submitted AR-11 online last night and would like to mail in I-865 today and wonder if I should send a letter, too explaining the fact that the "old" address is still our mailing address for most things and that the alien was this entire time available to communicate with on this old address?
I am starting to panic.
Did you forget to tell them about address change? What was the outcome?
Thanks!

Vareska hvala ti puno na odogvorima (and so fast too ).
It's not so bad, trust me
Sretno jos jednom!
A sad idem na spavanje definitivno ))

Zuta koverta iz ambasade nema nista s maticnim uredom u drzavi u koju ides. Nama nije trebalo nista osim mojeg hrvatskog pasosa i muzeve americke vozacke.

ostala pitanja
1. Ja sam sada American Citizen ali i dalje znam moj Alien broj dali da ga napisem?
2. Sta vi mislite da su najbolji dokazi da im posaljem, imam slike, phone bills (in my parents names since i live with them), vjecnani list (thats a must), mogu cak i par ovjereni pisama od prijatelja i roditelja da kazu da smo mi u braku, neznam sta drugo imam par pisama koje je on meni poslao.
3. 20. If your relative's native alphabet is other than Roman letters, write his or her name and foreign address in the native alphabet. (DALI DA NAPISEM NJEGOVO IME I ADRESU CIRILICOM?)
4. 21. If filing for your husband/wife, give last address at which you lived together. (Include street, city, province, if any, and country): (Sta ako nismo zivili zajedno sem kad sam ja tamo dolazila na par nedelja zadnja 3 puta?)
Sretno!

Came back to make sure the thread doesn't get locked or whatever.
The 2 yr period will be there sooner than we think, so we will hopefully be meeting here again and guiding each other through the process.
Can't believe it has been 8 months since POE, and before we know it it will be the 2 year mark and the lovely process of dealing with NVC will start all over again.
So, drop by here, let's keep the thread alive!
Hope everyone is doing well, I see most of you on Facebook and know you are well, but hey
-
I have my interview coming up, getting excited and nervous.
I think I am the last of the February Filers to have an interview.
Wish me Luck!
Good luck tomorrow!
-
Congrats on your GC Mumtaz
My hubs received his social security card today, going down to DMV (actually called DPS in Texas) on Wednesday to get his drivers license permit
Hopefully he will be able to take the driving test soon after
-
Approved
3 hours
Scary Security guards
And Visa's on the spot Not supposed to tell, but the lovely lady asked my wife to return at 3pm and they might be processed *wink wink*
Oh, I am so glad to see this! Congratulations, finally!
We have good news to share as well: husband received his green card 2 days ago AND we managed not to kill each other yet
Happy New Year everyone!

Jbg nije mi naumpalo to prije nego sto sam poslala ) Je li ko slao cell na poklon u BiH i koliko uzimaju carine?
-
All fixed and all better now.
Happy for you!
-
Counting 16 days until Kenan's arrival, working my #### off, decorating our apartment ... loving every minute of it!
I wish that all of you still waiting will be reunited with your loved ones before the end of this year
-
e jbg onda, platila sam cell $300+, postarinu $32 i samo jos treba da mu i carine uzmu jedno 100KM
kasno sad...
Hvala na odgovorima!
I-751 December filers
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
Our packet was delivered today, signed by D RENAUD.
Hopefully USCIS counts this as the official receipt date meaning they received our petition in time (hubby's green card expires on December 8th)
We shall find out soon enough!
