Hello everyone,

I sent letters to two senators and my local congressman. I haven't heard from them yet, but I logged onto the embassy status list and it says we are approved. I was so excited but there was some confusion in the posting so I called on Friday morning and they said we were in fact approved. My husband received his letter also on Friday so Monday he will be going to the embassy to get the VISA....I am so excited. I am not sure if the senators' offices made any calls, but I am so thankful. Now we just have to get him a ticket and he will be here by end of month...

I have a question for those of you whose husband's have already arrived. How soon after they arrived did their green card come in the mail and did their social securty card come right away also? My husband has a job already lined up but I am not sure how soon he can start due to the green card and social security card.

Thank you to all of you for your prayers and kind words....we will wait for a year or so and go back for our son...just can't leave him there, it will be a struggle but I am ready.

Alright ladies, here is the update. We had our joint interview. They went through our picuters over and over again, something about our album was intriguing to them. They passed it around like it was a show. They warned me about fraud several times and asked me if I wanted to talk to a consulate to "protect myself". I was upset. The lady asked me if I was doing anyone a favor. I told her I didn't owe anyone a favor and I was married to my husband because I love him. They told us we would get results in 4-6 weeks. Ugh!!!

Hi everyone. Mrs. Rowe things are moving along quite nicely my congressman is now involved with the case and DHS said I should have a response from them the latest September. As I think back on things I have to remember the old adage "Be careful what you ask god for you might well get it" I always ask god to let me raise my son without distraction until he graduates from high school he has done that with honor off to college with full academic scholarship all praises to the most high. Soon I will be able to devote all of my attention to bring my husband home.

Lisa I cannot tell you on this forum some of the things they have asked me but I shall PM you with it. I believe in my heart that you will be able to bring your husband home with you I shall say a prayer for you both.

I know all too well how stressful this process it but hang in there...you both have doors open to you walk thru it with faith knowing that god in his infinite wisdom with see you thru. I can't sing a lick but here it goes ladies don't worry about a thing for every little thing will be alright.

Hello ladies. Mrs. Rowe & Onekea things are moving along in divine order. LadyC I thought so...welcome..welcome..Onekea I know you must be bored out of your wits. I remember that feeling only too well was coupe up in the house on bed rest when I was only 4 monts pregnant and I was going stir crazy. Your bouncy baby will soon makes his/her entry into the world and that's when the real fun begin. Enjoy!! because 18 yrs. go by so fast. My son is going off to college in the fall I shall miss him.

Hi sassythea...it was only a few of us. Mrs. Rowe & Oneka husbands are here so I guess they are still quite busy adjusting to married life etc. Suzie and I we are working thru our issue with our husband visas. I wish you all the best with your journey.

We didn't get our visa. We were placed on Admin Review and the girl said six weeks we shoul hear something - either yes or no to the visa.

YOu will get your visa Suzie...its only a matter of time...you hand in there remember that the father above don't give us more than we can bare. He will not bring you this far and not see you thru this victoriously. I shall keep you in my prayers.

Welcome MasterChin I have seen interviews schedule within a month or two after the case is completed at NVC....Wishing you well thru this processing.

You said your sex life was very good before she came here and you visited her every 3 months...wow...from those amount of visits I gather that you love your finance very much. Moving here could be having a negative affect on her mentally, give it some time and above all be patient with her. On the flip side of that if things doesn't improve then you will have some hard decisions to make before moving forward with this process.

Where is everyone? Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. A few weeks ago while on my way home from the grocery store one nut ran the stop sign and crashed into the driver's side of the car. Thank god nothing is broken but I am really banged up trying to cope with therapy...my shoulders and back hurts the most. Anyway, I trust that you all have a wonderful week.

Mrs. Rowe I trust that your new journey for your step kids okay I don't like that word "step" your kids will be very smooth.

Suz I can understand and relate to your feeling but as Mrs. Rowe rightfully said "Pain last only the night but joy cometh in the morning" we will continue to trust in the father knowing that with him all things are possible. Well I emailed the Guyana embassy yesterday would you all believe that they haven't sent the application back to DOS as yet still have it sitting down there these folks gets on my last nerves. Hit a snag trying to get some documents from Guyana anyway its being sent up to me today should have it by Friday. I am definitely mailing it off next week.

As hard as this process is having you all around makes it easier to bare. Have a wonderful rest of the day ladies.

I am back from my vacation. I was off on Wednesday and i am back today. Wohoo. It is nice to have Michael here. We had a great time going to DC and sightseeing. It was awesome. We will be visiting NY next month. I am sure he will enjoy that too. He is adjusting well, finding his way around our neighborhood well. Our daughter has forgotten all about Mommy, Grandma, auntie all of us. It's all Daddy right now. That's okay though cause it gives me a nice break. It is just so nice to have him here. I really just couldn't tell you in words how nice it is to go to sleep and wake up with my husband. Some of the funniest moments are when he uses words that we used to use in Guyana years ago, it makes me laugh.lol but it's so warming. This mornign when i got to work, i called him cause i used to call him every morning when he was home but it felt weird calling him at my house instead of using a phone card.lol. Now i am not so pressed for phone cards and that is a definite plus.

So how is everyone else doing? Any news?

Welcome back. Its wonderful to hear that your family is have so much fun reconnecting. Well as you know most girls are daddy's little girls for when it comes to us daddy's can't see the trees for the forest. LOL I know Mya is having the time of her life as well as you. No news to report as yet.

My I-130 journey will end kind of tomorrow when my husband comes in but i have not and will not forget or walk away. I pray Suzie and Nikki will have thier husbands here soon.
