Im sorry i have to inform you that i wasnt able to beat your record...you are still on top...but hey cdneh, i tried...it just didnt work...

Today i called NVC and a nice lady there announced me that i got out of NVC and hopefully they will send my package to Romania on monday...Then i called again just to be sure and the second lady told me that im under AP and then i asked her to check again since this second call was just for getting the confirmation of the first call. Then she said, oo yeah, but we will not be able to send it today... Still a good news...

Wow all these weeks seemed long, but it was good having all of you encouraging each other...

So, cdneh... i stopped at 6 weeks and 5 days...

I still dont know what's so much to check about me and my fiancee since we've been there for almost 7 weeks... cdneh, i might beat your k1 record...hope not . still it's good seeing people that got out from AP, like still checking this thread, well at least untill a new generation of filers comes in...

congrats... when i read your post i imediatly checked your timeline and i saw that your case got to NVC a day later after mine so i called NVC hoping ill get a good news too, but it wasnt to be... im still under AP....sad...

but hey, congrats to you...and wish you the best for the interview...

It could come anytime. I think the 6 weeks is an average, if you look at other people here who were in AP and are now out. It could be more, it could be less, and there isn't any way of knowing.

I was 7 weeks and 2 days.

The day has COME !!! We were released from AP at NVC today before noontime EST. They told me it will go out in todays DHL package to Kiev, so now the countdown is to see how many days before the Embassy gets it in the computer and we can finally make an appointment for February. I know some people said they called in 3 days and got appt, , others said 10 days. I can name 3 people who waited under a week, so lets hope for the best.... who who knows. i will call every day and use up a few pin cards, if I can be done with this process ASAP. Hopefully everyone else who went into AP with us on Dec 9th, will get released soon. Good luck and thanks for the support every day.

We called USCIS last week, the guy answering the phone said he can see from the record that we've called uscis 5 times, but at the end the answer came out the same, as you know. What about call csc directyly, anyone tried that before?

Well, as you can see from my signature, we've been touched January 15 & 16, but then, of course, they didn't work anymore...not Saturday, not Monday and certainly not today. So... I really hope this means that my file is on the officer's desk, awaiting for that magic stamp.

sorry to hear about your plans being on the edge...i do know how u feel dude cos when i started this process i've been told that it will take me about 3-4 months to get the fiancee visa...well, im in my 7th month already now and still waiting...i have my wedding date alraedy set and the park rented and the invitations done and everythint ready, except my visa... I might actually miss my own wedding...how about that ? it's sad what happens and it hurts seing my fiancee how she tries to be strong for me...but good news: god has never let us down

so man, im praying for you, and hopefully we will be out from NVC this week,,,

Hey Natan i notice we got approved on the same date. I am wondering what they are doing at NVC. I wanted my wife by my side by next month. But i don't know what to expect. I have been here stuck at NVC for AP since the 5th.

my case is already at NVC, actually, it's been there for 6 weeks now

I also got my NOA2 on december 3rd and my case got to NVC on december 9th...so we are very close together...why do u think we will get it on 23rd? ad not sooner ?

hi we too ar stuck at the NVC, we have been there since dec 9th, i thought that we had done something wrong because everyone i had seen had been sent on within a week. it has now been 6 weeks and i hope by the time it hits 7 it will be over... i got asked today in a private message here whether or not being in AP had anything to do with previous marriages or name changes or any criminal records. does anyone still stuck in AP have any of those problems, my fiance has been married twice before and me once, i have also had a name change due to the fact my mother remarried

after my natural father died...please let me know

I can tell you that both myself and my fiance have NEVER been married and have NO records with police or anything, and i have been stuck since December 9th also. We were just unlucky when they decided to reach into the black hole of the gov't and pull out a few random files to scrutinize

Should be one more week for both of us. lets keep posting , so we both know when there is a change. Another Holiday Monday, so no changes until at least Tuesday now, if you are planning to call for an update. I'm hoping Friday 23rd will be our lucky day......cheers

I looked at your timelines guys and we all got our NOA 2 December 4th and they were all received at NVC December 9th. I was wondering that maybe our cases were all in the same box and were unluckily got stuck at NVC.

It will be six weeks under AP tomorrow I hope they will release them before this week is over.

Yeah, I hope Friday 23rd will be our lucky day too... keeping my fingers crossed for us guys.

so it only took 3 days to get to frankfurt from NVC ? hmm so there is hope that it can get to bucharest in less than a week after i get rid of NVC...

Oana31, im still at NVC...I got my NOA2 6 weeks ago and i've been stuck there for 5 weeks and 3 days...my pacience is running out and since i can call NVC everyday, i do that and everytime i hear that "We are sorry but ur case is still in AP, and there is no time frame", i feel like i have something bitter in my mouth...

Someone here asked if calling their senator helps when ur case is at NVC...by advise is: wait a week and then call ur senator or congressman, whoever,,, for me is kinda late now, but if i knew i would stay 6 weeks here i would have totally call them after the first week...The longest k1 case that stayed at NVC so far, as much as i know, is cdneh who stayed their for 7 weeks and 2 days and im kinda getting there...anyway guys, just pray for me since im getting weaker and this reflects in my daily talks with my babe...

im still stuck at NVC, i've been there for more than 4 weeks now, i just hope somehow GOd will work all this out this next week, or the next weeks the most so we wont have to postpone the wedding...

Oana, how were you able to talk to an officer from the service center directly? We tried it last night. We talked to the girl forever and she was nice and said she would love to help us but there is no way to connect us with the service center and that they don't do that...USCIS told us the same as you have heard now: you are assigned, no problems so far, you should hear something in 2-4 weeks. Well that was the first of december. Now it has been 5 weeks (and 7 after being assigned) and still nothing. I hope we didn't get assigned to someone who is sick or on a maternity leave.

Panterchen, I know you don't care anymore about the answer to this question but I'll answer: my fiance is in the Army, he mentioned that to the person who initially answered the phone. So, I guess that is why they were kind enough to give him some info.

we started thinking about what we need to do about changing the wedding date since we already rent it the park where we wanted to get married,

She will try to talk with the manager of that park to see if it's possible to delay it a lil bit when it's free again or should we just pay another fee for another day...anyway, about the wedding invitations we didnt send them yet but we told everyone about march 14... anyway

still we both trust God that He will give us the visa at the right time...

my worry is that i will not be able to get to my own wedding in time ... the thing is that people there usually wait for 5-6 weeks which means 1 month and a half,,,so let's say the half of month is december and then the entire january...hopefully my papers will get to bucharest in 4 days after that and then i would still have time like 2 weeks here in romania to have the interview and get the visa, since i planned on leaving on february 18th...

i dont know, it's simply sad what these people are doing: 2 RFEs and now an AP...hmm such is life...God is in control !!!

NVC received my case on December 8 or so...

so it looks like im looking at a one month and a half delay time...

i guess im the newest AP guy around here...i just called NVC and ive been told that i have an AP on my case,that's quite a christamas gift from them...

Anyway, i just wanted to ask you guys like ,from your experience, how long can this waiting for this AP to get solved at NVC can last ? how much time did other people wait? i just want to know the average period, because we already set the wedding date and we are kinda behind with the scheduale anyway after 2 RFEs at USCIS...

well, looks like NVC had a gift for me today: an AP that can bring me a delay somewhere from a couple of weeks up to a couple of months...When i got the news on the phone from that lady there i felt like something hit me in the head...but after i hang up i felt like a voice was telling me to remember how thankful i was to God when i got the NOA2 and how close to Him i felt back then, so i should do the same thing in hard times too: it's not like i can change anything but do it worse by worrying so : DONT WORRY BUT PRAY AND TRUST GOD IS AT WORK...

what does AP stand for ?

every time i call them i tell them my name and my fiancee and our birthdays and our NCV case id...and eveytime they tell the same thing that they are still working on it...i imagine they are actually working on it not just say that so they could get rid of me...So far i talked with at least 4 different persons there and all of them were very nice...not like the lady from the bucharest consulate...she answers the questions as soon as possible kinda like trying to get rid of me, then she shows me how bored she is, and stuff like sad and bored voice....anyway,

Natan, did you ask them directly if you are in AP at NVC? You should. Some filers are. There is a seperate topic here in the National Visa Center section.

i dont know what to think about NVC anymore, kiwie... i did some research here and there and everyone was saying that after you get NOA2, NVC will take only a week to send it to the local consulate but in my case i've been waiting for this to happen the last 3 weeks... i received NOA2 on december 3rd and since then no word from NVC except: "We are still processing it and this process doesnt have a time frame", anyway, ill continue to call them every other day, since it doesnt cost me to much: 1 cent per minute... anyway, God knows why this happens and as im sure you all know: GOD'S PLAN IS ALWAYS PERFECT...

enjoy the last christmas unmarried, since we all, with Lord's help, will get married next year sometimes (GO MARCH )
