I'm finally applying for my citizenship.. But I do have a question on the part where it says Your Family, the children part! For that part is it just me that puts down my child's name or do I need to also put my husband's child's name there too?

After making a few calls this morning to see what happened about the delivery of my Green Card.. Apparently it was addressed to my old address. Even though I changed my address a few months back & I was getting mail from USCIS at my new address, so go figure that one! Anyway the good news is that I have now received my Green Card this afternoon..

Well today not been a good day! My Green Card should have been delivered today & it never showed up. I have been tracking it for the past few days with USPS.. This morning it arrived at the sorting postal service & it was out on delivery.. When I got home it wasn't here! Talk about me being mad about this! I check on USPS online to track to see what happened, it says it was undeliverable as addressed, whatever that means has baffled me big time! My hubby has been home all day waiting for this! Yet I got my normal mail as usual.. I received my NOA I-797 yesterday, so how did I manage to get this & not get my Green Card?? I shall be making a few calls tomorrow morning....

I responded to the RFE & they received the package today 08/06.. So I hope I don't have to wait too long now for my green card. Just hope I gave them enough evidence for what they need. This part of the process has been stressful this time around. I had more problems with getting evidence together purely for the lack of it because for the past 2 1/2 years my hubby & I had been living with my hubby's father being both of us were his caregivers due to his health problems. Sadly he passed away a few months ago, so we had to find a home to rent & get bills in one of our names & get the evidence that we are living as a married couple. So got our bank statements with checking & savings account in both our names for the past 2yrs,

Tax return transcripts 2011-2012

Car Insurance policies past 2yrs both our names on it.

Car Title showing our names at new address.

Utility Bill showing one name on it. (they won't put both names onto it)

Bright House cable, phone & internet bill showing both our names.

Letter from Landlord of renting property.

Rent receipts of payments with both our names.

2 further affidavits from friends.

We don't have any health insurances (can't afford that just now)

Father in-laws death certificate.

Letter from Vitas Hospice Care who helped us care for our father.

So I'm hoping this is gonna be enough evidence as we don't have anything else to give them. We have only been renting our home for the past 5 months. We have no worries if they ask us for an interview. I did explain our circumstances for the past 2yrs in a cover note.

I am so bummed out got a letter from USCIS asking RFE from me. I didn't give enough evidence to support our marriage. I was kinda limited to support our marriage as we didn't have a place of our own, with no utilities in our names. We lived with my hubby's father for over 2yrs as we took care of him until he passed away a few months ago. We now have a place we rent & we have only been living there for 4months. I've asked my landlord to give me something in writing to say that we are renting from them. He didn't sound to keen on the idea. For further evidence I decided to give all of my bank statements for the past 2yrs +.... I'm also giving them our joint tax returns. I have a question on that matter of tax returns, is a photocopy ok? or does it have to be from the IRS?

I had a couple of family members & a friend do our support of marriage letters, but USCIS don't seem to have those letters in my paper work that I sent! So not sure what I'm supposed to do with that one! Should I do them again & have them notarized?

I kinda feel a bit deflated today...

I sent my package off the other day. This is what i sent to them 3 letters of support of our marriage from family & friends.

Copy of our car insurance renewed & expired with our names on it.

Copy of the title of our car.

Copy of our bank statements showing a joint account, i put about 6 statements varying over the past year. As wachovia was taken over by wells fargo.

Copy of our sam's club cards on a joint account.

Copy of our legal shield joint membership cards.

Copy of my drivers license with the home address on it.

Copy of my husbands ID card with the home address on it.

We don't have any utilities in our names as we both live with my husband's father as we take care of him. I didn't send any tax returns from last year on the advice I got from H & R Block telling me to file married but file separately. This year I have filed jointly. So if I get an RFE on that I will be ready for it.

I'm not gonna get myself worried for the lack of proof of our 2year marriage.

No, they do not.

It seems there is a few people still waiting for their GC it will soon come... Jan filers have done really good so far..

Well I thought I would go for my Florida's drivers license today & I came up trumphs with it, so that's another one marked off my list. Things are truly coming together now.

Haha, yes, we definitely did! My Mom gave him a big ol hug and everything.

Whereabouts did you live in the UK? I'm gonna take a guess and say Scotland ;P I lived in Newcastle for 2 years and would visit Scotland every so often, but it seemed like Scotland came to visit us more often than that! Lots of stag dos in Newcastle city centre, I lived right above a pub so never had a quiet weekend for 2 years straight, haha.

I lived in Aberdeen the "Granite City" for the past 12years!! But came from a small town called Keith which is 50miles north of Aberdeen. I loved living in Aberdeen there was always plenty to do. Nights out in the town was always good.. I never did get a chance to go to Newcastle. But you are right there's always the stag do's & the hennies in Newcastle never a dull moment there.. hahaha!!

Wow, so many of you are getting a green card already. That's great. I really wonder if my husband will get his AOS approved without an interview... All we have to do is wait and see... That's awesome though that my husband's EAD card has been put into production. I wonder when he'll receive it in the mail. After he gets it, the first chance we have we're going to go to the DMV with it and see about getting him an Oregon Driver's License.

You are getting there too...Won't be long til you get your greencard.. :thumbs:
