  1. Me and my fiance, so happy today... we already got a schedule for interview... January 29 at 7am...

Is there anyone here, same interview date?

    Thanks... God Bless us... :star:

hello, congratulations to both of you. we have quite a similar timeline but we still couldnt get an interview date. we have our case number already but when we call the usem they say that we hve to wait for the usem letter before we can get a date. so, did you get the date prior to the letter from usem? thank you so much. i would appreciate it very much if you would reply to my question. god bless!

Thanks... We did not stop calling the Embassy, keep trying to call them. At first, they told us also that we will wait the letter from Embassy, but until now, I did not yet received it.. Try to call tomorrow, it might give you date for interview..

    Good Luck.. God Bless.. :star:

  2. We already had the NVC letter, and the packet already received by the Manila Embassy last Jan. 6, until now, they don't want give us a date for interview. They keep telling I will wait the Letter from the Manila Embassy, but why the other members here same time line us, they have now interview schedule..

  3. Hi VJ's:

Why Manila Embassy, they don't want set us in schedule for the interview.. My fiance purchased another PIN to call them, but still telling them they cannot yet give a date for interview, they keep telling us we will wait the Letter from the Embassy, then we can set the schedule.... its been more than a week...

    Is this normal?

Please give me some advise on this thing...

    Thank You!

  4. Here I am now on the big day of my life. My USE-Manila Interview..

Got up as early as 4 AM since today was also the day where the Black Nazarene of Quiapo is being paraded in some streets in Metro Manila in celebration of its feast day. Left the hotel by 5 AM with a fellow VJ member that I met here. I offered my room for her which has an extra bed for free cause I'm scared to be alone at a room. Haha! We arrived at the Embassy gate at 5:30 AM. Met some K1 applicants that I met during my medical at SLEC last Jan 5. Started falling in line based on time of appointment at Gate 2.

WARNING: NO CELLPHONES, CHARGERS, HEADSETS and any ELECTRONIC DEVICES. Be sure to double check your bags before leaving (para di kayo matulad sa nagsusulat ng blog na ito na dinala pati yung charger at headset sa bag nya...haha!)

Got inside the Embassy's gate at 6:30 AM. Presented a valid ID with picture (NBI clearance maybe used in case you don't have any ID's with you upon the interview), NOA2 (Original Copy) and Appointment Letter. You will be presenting your ID, NOA2 and Appointment Letter twice. So better hold it and keep it with you. Bags are checked. If you are bringing a bottle of perfume/cologne, they will ask you to spray it on your body. (Imagine that? Ganyan sila kastrikto..hehe)

Was seated at the blue chairs by 6:50 AM. Prepare your DS Forms. Was called at the ticketing booth to fall in line at 7:10 AM.

    1) NOTE:

DS-156 form should be printed twice (so apat na pages lahat..dito ngkamali ang lola niyo..haha!) :bonk: The third page of your DS 156 form with a barcode on it is not really necessary. They would return it to you. Only the first 2 pages of the DS-156 are needed.

    2) 2 pages of DS-157 (1 you printed and 1 being validated by the bank..bring the BDO receipt with you.. some CO's would ask for it) - On #10, answer PHILIPPINES instead of None..

    3) 1 page of DS 156K (fill out the last portion of the form saying that you intend to marry your FIANCE and affix your signature

I was given an extra form by one of the staff there because I only printed one pair of DS-156 form. Told to fill out the form and glue another 2X2 picture with white background on it. Fall in line again at the ticketing booth and was asked what SLEC had told me prior to the interview. Give my ticket stub # 7021.

Was already being scared and nervous that I might missed my name being called for finger scanning at Window 33. All of my fellow K1 applicants had been called out and done at the finger scanning. Better listen carefully on the one calling out the names for finger scanning. She calls your names so slang. Hehe..Was called around 8:45 AM. Bring your ticket number. They would ask for it. Wheew! Go back to your chair and wait for your number to be flashed at the queue board for your Pre-screener interview.

Number was called at 9 AM at Window 21. My Filipino pre-screener was super nice and kind. Greeted her with a smile and said Good Morning. She liked our pictures flying with broom sticks at Bohol. Haha! She asked for my BC, NBI (green one) and my fiance's AOS, W2, ITR. Lastly, pictures. I suggest you submit pictures pasted on bond papers or individually. Be sure that the pictures are albums/scrapbooks can be folded or may bend. Present any evidences that would provide genuine relationship (they didn't asked for my e-mails, chat logs, bank statements, card and letters..Actually, its a case-to-case basis depending on the pre-screener.

    QUESTIONS ASKED FROM MY PRE-SCREENER:

    1)Name of the Petitioner?

    2)My age?

    3)When we met online?

4)When he first visited me and where?

5)How many times did he come to visit?

6)Places we visited during the times he was here?

The pre-screener checks every picture that I had in a scrapbook. I also explain what were doing in each picture. (She forgot to ask my CENOMAR though..). She told me to sit back again and wait for my name to be called for the CO interview. She wished me luck! Yaay! She was indeed nice.

9:40 AM. Number was called at Window 27. I noticed that the CO inside is kinda meticulous since she takes time with every applicant. So, while waiting outside, my heart was pumping soo fast and I feel that my face was all red. Yay! This is it..

10:15 AM. Got inside the Consul's room. I was really shocked to see a very young and beautiful CO in that room (biglang natomboy ang lola nyo..haha!Ganda talaga niya..Grabe!). She was probably in her late 20's. Too bad, she's engaged! Haha!

Greeted her with a smile and said Good Morning. She greeted me back. She told me to raise my right hand and swear to tell nothing but the truth. I said Yes.

    QUESTIONS ASKED FROM MY CO:

    1)Name of petitioner?

    2)My age?

    3)Fiance's work?

    4)Degrees he finished?

5)When we met online and started talking?

6)How long had we been together before his first visit?

7)Where we went during his visits? (Be sure with the dates. They wanna know how good are you in remembering dates. Haha!)

8)When he proposed, where and how? And if I ever got a ring? (I showed off my engagement ring.Hehe!)

    9)My profession?

10)Why my BC was late registered?

11)Does my fiance had brothers and sisters?

Wow! She surely made feel how it is being on the hot seat. I feel like my butt is burning. Haha! Either way, she told me to wait for my name to be called again outside.

11:03 AM. Name called at Window 37. it was PINK!! A pink slip indeed! Weeh! Soo happy! Told to pay Delbros visa delivery fee. Next step - waiting for Visa.. Haay! I'm a day closer to see my fiance again!

    Congratz!!! God Bless.... :star:

  5. It was indeed a very r0ugh day for me. For having less sleep after I got from the airport then drove for an hour and a half to go to Cavite where my uncle lives. It was indeed very tiring day but worth it knowing that I'm a day closer to see my fiance again after I'm done with this and so as the interview. Got up around 5AM and drove from Cavite to Manila by 6:30AM. Only to found out that a there's VERY HEAVY traffic ahead.

    Things to bring:

    Appointment letter (photocopy)

    NOA2 hard copy (original)

    N0A2 photocopy

    Blank ink pen

Food and water (have your own diskarte na di makita ang food sa loob ng bag.. Hehe)

    Passport

Most recent xray film (if you have but not necessary)

    Money

Got at SLEC by 9:30AM. My number was 428. Given forms to fill out. Pls don't forget to mention if you are K1 because you'll be filling up an extra form. Kinda look like the DS-156K form. Use blank ink pen. Better not to glue or paste any picture yet. The number being called by that time was 150. There were lots of people inside. I think that there were much people there compared to the people falling in line paying their contributions at SSS. Would you even believe that? Haha! I chose to stay at SLEC and filled up my PDS forms. Didn't ate my lunch yet coz I'm full still. At around 2PM, God listened to my prayers, and my number was called. Number was called for digital photo taking. Then fall in line for the PATIENT RECEPTION who will be checking your forms. They would ask you when was your last X-RAY taken. When done at the Ground Floor, go to 5th floor to pay your medical fee. Mine was 10,240.80 as of Jan. 5, 2009.

After falling in line at the cashier, bring your receipt together with the forms at 3rd floor. Hand your form to the counter before taking as seat as you will wait for nothing. Your name would be called to sign forms. At this point, they'll ask if you brought an old x-ray form if you had an x-ray recently. And made you sign a waiver stating that you didn't bring your old xray film.

CAUTION: MALDITA YUNG BABAE SA COUNTER NG X-RAY. hehe.. Biruin mo naman na sinabihan niya yung katabi ko when we were called to affix our signatures na "HINDI PO YAN TINITITIGAN MAM, PINIPIRMAHAN PO YAN.. " :hehe:

After signing the forms, sit back again and wait for your name to be called. This time, a girl would let you sign the logbook and let you inside the XRAY changing room. Tie your hair in a ponytail the highest way posible. They would take a poster view of your lungs. Remove your top, bra and accesories including dangling earrings. Put on the gown at the dressing room. Wait for your name to be called inside the X-RAY. Then get changed and return the gown.

Take your forms to the 4th floor for HIV testing and RPR (Pregnancy Test). Submit your forms to the Lab Reception. They will let you sign a HIV consent form. After signing the consent, wait for your name to be called at the Reception then take your forms to the HIV blood extraction room. Fall in line there again. After blood was extracted, you would be asked to fall in line near the Female Restroom at the same floor to have your urinalysis to determine if you are pregnant or not.

When done, wait for your name to be called again at the Lab Reception then take your forms to the 5th floor. I guess this was the longest ever part of the medical. Submit your forms to the US counter reception. Tell them that you haven't had your height and weight taken yet. Wait for your name to be called for the height and weight taking. Then sit back again and wait for your name to be called for the eye exam. Then sit back again and wait for your name to be called for vital signs such as BP, PR and RR. Then sit back again and wiat for name to be called at the US Counter for your P.E. Since it was really take LLLOOOOOOONNNNNGGG for your my name to be called, I decided to eat my lunch and dinner in one at McDo. Time check: 11 PM..

After eating dinner with new found friends Laila (K1) and Alma (CR-1), we went back to SLEC again and surprisingly, our name was not yet called. We patiently waited. At exactly midnight, our names were called to the US Counter for our P.E. When it was my name called to get inside the room, I greeted the doctor Good Evening and she corrected me in a very sarcastic way saying, " ANONG GOOD EVENING? MORNING NA NGAYON." I laughed and greeted her Good Morning again but I didn't really care if she was being sarcastic. I was just being nice knowing of what I read her at VJ that not all of the staff of SLEC is nice. I could really care less. During the interview, speak in a loud voice that you and the physician could hear (para di ka masabon tulad ng sumunod sa akin). After answering her questions, call up the other person next to you for her turn. Then go to the bead, disrobe completely. Then cover yourself with a blant. She would check your breast, throat and genitals. She made me turn sidewards and curled my knees toward my tummy like a C-position or fetal position for her to have a better view of your genitals. Then get changed and take yoiur forms to the US Counter and they instructed me when to get the results and what time. Time check: 1:00 AM..

What a rough and tiring day 1.. Wheew! Need to get my results this afternoon. I know I will pass..hehe

ganun ba katagal, sa medical.. until midnight???

  12. this is a friendster shoutout of my friend and im hesitant to ask her maybe she got problems with her hubby.. i pity her...

"sobrang kaluguran da ka at amimis da na ka.sana mibalik na ka.alika mambabae ha?"

    ano yan?

It's Kampampangan Words means " Mahal kitang sobra at miss na kita. Sana magbalik kana. Wag kang mambabae ah.

  13. Hey K1 guys. This may sound serious and i hate drama sometimes, but are you guys really ready to be married as in seriously? How can you say that you are ready to be married? This will be my first time to be married and honestly, i am scared and nervous to death..do you feel the same?

Married Life is a serious thing, which you must have a tough decision.. This thought I also ask my self, if I'm ready to the next chapter of my life? But, when I first saw my fiance in the airport I thought I will feel uncomfortable, but guess what, I felt that we where met last 10 years ago, because I'm very comfortable with him. And I could not imagine that this year i will engaged to him, but I said Yes to Him, because I really feel that he is the one I want to be with for the rest of my life. I love him so much..
