hi there,
i've seen threads that's kinda similar to my situation but not quite, so i decided to creat my own.
i'm a bit clueless right now. my green card will expire on july 7,2012 and i won't be able to apply for a 10 year green card (lifting of condition) till maybe second week of june and that makes it like a month after the expiration of my green card. (hopefully that's just fine)and another thing, my passport has expired two months ago and i woud have to go to chicago to renew it (i don't have money for that yet) will that be a problem?
now i got a new job offer, and here soon i'll be starting, will my soon to be on the process g.c. and e.a.d would affect my employment?
thanks and hopefully i'd find the answers here as i always have.

philippines is actually very americanized. it's almost the same. like the banking system, the online shopping, and actually found out that we have more sophisticated ways of doing things than u guys here in u.s. do. like our movie theater in the philippines are huge, and we have 3d and now 4d movie screen.
i should say it depends on where ur partners lived in the philippines. i lived in a very well off city in the philippines and now i'm stucked here in midwest with nothing but fields. although it's pretty here, i still miss the sky-scrapers and the beauty of both city-country life.
but one thing that really amazed me -- an almost a 100 year old ppl can still ride a tractor and combine and drive a freaking truck. =)

this happened to me exactly. we filed for k1 visa when i was almost, if not 2 mos pregnant, and it only took us a little less than five months to be approved. i flew to u.s. when i was 7 mos along and had our baby here in u.s.
my fiance that time (now my husband) wrote a letter to expedite my case beens i'm pregnant, but don't know for sure if that really helped to speed up the decision to my application.

thanks guys =)

hi there guys,,
i just have a quick question. i already recieved my advance parole in the mail, and on the uscis page it said DOCUMENT PRODUCTION/OATH OF CEREMONY.
my EAD was approved too and also on the uscis' page it said DOCUMENT PROD/ OATH of CEREMONY so i was waiting for the card itself to be mailed.. now i checked again my porfolio, it now said and back to POST DECISION ACTIVITY.
what does it mean?... the card was being produced already a day ago, now it's back to post decision activity? is there something wrong???
pls reply.
thanks,

hi there folks!
i just want to let everybody know that dr. okoye and his wife (Lincoln Ne-- Vandorm St.) only charged us 180. they don't do the laboratory but they give recomendation letter to the hospital they are affiliate with and because the hospital knows this doctors as good people, they treat us very nicely too and they don't charge too much unlike the ther hospitals in the area (where i had inquiries first before choosing where to go).
Mrs. okoye, doctor okoye's wife, she's a surgeon too. she personally accompanied us to the hospital to where i needed to do my laboratory tests because she knew we're not familiar with the place, i mean isn't that great? all in all, it only cost me a little over $200. to some other hospitals they wanted $600-1000.
so if ur area is somewhere in ia or ne, these surgeons are the best of best.

Follow the information given in your biometrics letter and go to your appointment. You will most likely not require an interview as your case was transferred to CSC. I know it can be confusing, but this is likely good news for you. Congratulations!
thank u for the replies. i hope tho i'll get an approval not denial or something. ok so, i still need to go to the biometric appointment. i just got confuse cuz i read one post one time he said he got his greencard without interview and biometric so.. but thank you guys!

hi there friends!
it's always a good thing whenever i'm confuse with the immigration process, i have u guys to depend on and get good advice from, so pls accept my thank yous.
i'm again confused with the letter i got from the uscis. i'm about to have my biometrics on june 7th. today i got a letter from the uscis that says Transfer Notice
the letter goes:
This is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following uscis office for processing:
California Service Center, 2nd Flr. bla bla bla
Tel.# 123456789
That office will notify you of the decision made on the application or petition.
Please read the following information before attempting to contact the National Customer Service Center for an update:
Please refer to the USCIS processing dates webpage, via uscis home webpage, to locate the processing dates for the specific service center that your
case was transferred to. if the service center is within the processing time for your particular application or petition, USCIS cannot provide an
update on your case. If the service center is outside of processing tme for your particular application or petition, please call Customer Service at 123
456789 to request an update.
Please read the following information if you submitted a Premium Processing application or petition:
Please contact the Premium Processing phone number at 123456789 for inquiries. The 15-day Premium Processing clock does not start until the correct office
receives the application or pettition.
Haist! that's the letter. i don't exactly know what it means, specially the premium processing. and what about my biometrics? do i still have to do it? I'm suppose to do it in Omaha, NE.
I'm puzzled. Pls help again!
thanks alot,
Jazz

thank u guys for the replies! i appreciate. it's me that's going to hve the bio.
thanks a lot!

Your interview (if you get one) will be a different day. The biometrics is just for them to take your fingerprints, photos and some extra info about you (height, weight, eye/hair color etc). Walkins depend on the office you are scheduled at, not all of them allow it. You will need to bring your passport, the letter and your marriage certificate if you have changed your name.
thanks for the reply. i hope they would allow us to go as a walk-in applicant.
thanks again.

hello there folks!
I just have a stupid questions: i am going to have my biometrics on june 7,, what should i need to expect? what else do i need to bring with me asside from my passport?
is the interview on the same day? or they will going to schedule the interview on a different day?
my husband is not available on june 7th, but i don't want to delay the appointment as well, can we just go there "walk in" and do the biometrics earlier than june 7th? if so, what can i expect?
by the way, i'm gonna have it in omaha,ne.
thanks guys!

I agree with Donald-n-Analyn. I am a Filipina too, me and my hubby have gone through hell... he lost his job when i got in here, we got a premature baby a week after my arrival, he couldn't file for unemployment compensation becus we were stucked in the hospital with my son, we got a lot of issues bla bla, i didn't want to get married that time, i just wanted to go back home but my hubby ofcourse told me not to and to get marry becuz it was just a rough time for us. we got married but the fight seems endlessly and our relationship is like a roller coaster. Not to mention hundreds and thousands of hospital bills (my son was life flighted) divorce became my number one solution, well ofcourse I was going through hell of emotions, i've even been diagnosed of having post natal depression. BUT NEVER ONCE I begged, treathen, harrassed or forced my husband to file for AOS right away, specially during the times when everything always seems to be chaos.
This is just me... u know her and should know her background, and u know if she can really love u truly or not, if she came to a not-so-well-off family then i may say, she and her family are just using u to get her a gc.. sorry to say but i smell something fishy.
sometimes you just got to be honest to yourself to find the answer.. believe me, cus I did that to myself, I became honest to myself and can't lie that I really love my husband and will stay with him through hell or high waters. it's been over a year now since i got in here but finally, we're in the process of AOS now.
If she really cares to you like what u said, then she won't be worrying about AOS, might as well her family. She should've care most about the marriage that is going to end.

it appears that ur medical is already past 1 year old (based on ur timeline)... if u file aos with ur medical still valid then ur good to go.... but now, yes, u need a new medical (as far as i know). i would not wait for USCIS to tell me...otherwise u may get RFE hence delays of AOS process...(but thats just me ).u can inquire to ur CS too...if the price is good- u can do medical as well as the I-693 to the same CS.
thank u so much!
i hope it won't cost us much or else i won't be able to file right away...again
thanks

The OPs case is different from a normal K1. Do not confuse yourself and just follow the guide for AOS from K1.
thanks!
i guess i just need to read more...
i just read some post regarding i-130 and it's not for me.
thank u again.

if u mean to CS?...nope...except ur vaccination record, however, if its past 1 yr old of medical- thats another story.
so what will i do? will i have to wait for the uscis to tell me that i have to do anothe medical procedure or just go to the surgeon and have it done?
sorry, i'm so foolish! just really don't know.
-
ooops sorry i forgot to ask... do i hve to bring my old medical recrds that i got from phil ang give it to the surgeon?
-
thank u so much for the info guys
that'll help me a lot.

hi friends!
I'm in the process of AOS....finaly
I was pregnant when i enter u.s. so i didn't have vaccination during my medical thingy..
I knew that i need to do medical again becos it's been over a year now since I enter u.s. (and a little late to file for AOS)
now my question is, can i do my vaccination on a health center here in our town? and how much do i have to pay for medical procedures? I found list of civil surgeon around my area but i don't know if they would credit a vaccination from health center.
Do i have to bring the I-63 form to the surgeon?
pls help
thanks guys
