  1. does anyone know how soon would be good to schedule flight after interview? I would love to have my wife here for thanksgiving....I already booked a suite in manhattan so we can go to the macy's day parade and im going to take her to the radio city christmas christmas spectacular....I HOPE.... I am sending the IV and AOS in next week!!!! I guess the interview will be scheduled for early november?

  2. I check the payment page periodicly by putting the NVC case number and the INN on the sign in page and saw that finally the bill for the IV was online. I imediately paid the bill and was hoping to see the PAID the next day instead I saw payment status as unpaid. I called NVC and got thru....apparently the bill was not acutally generated yet so my payment was not applied to the NVC case....they are going to see if a supervisor will apply the payment to the case and also told me if they do it will take an additional 10-14 days :( OUCH Big mistake...even bigger if i made a $400 donation if they dont apply it to the case!!!!!!!! Anyone else have this happen? If so what happened?
  3. I believe so.

Completing the Immunization record (part 1)

Reviewing any incomplete vaccination series to determine if eligible for a blanket waiver.

A blanket waiver is a waiver that is applied uniformly to a group of conditions and does not require a separate waiver application or fee to be filed with USCIS. In many cases, it might not be medically appropriate to administer a dose of a particular vaccine. Five “Not Medically Appropriate†categories are acceptable when determining an applicant’s eligibility for a blanket waiver.

The five “Not Medically Appropriate†categories are―

    ......

    Insufficient time interval between doses

If the minimum time interval between the last documented dose and the next required dose has not passed, the “Insufficient time interval†waiver box for that vaccine must be checked.

If administration of the single dose of a vaccine at the time of the medical examination does not complete the series for that vaccine, the “Insufficient timeinterval†waiver box must be checked to indicate that additional doses will be needed

to complete the series for that vaccine.

    Completing the Results (part 2)

Vaccination history incomplete: Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s).

Completion of a vaccine series is not required to conclude the medical examination because such a requirement would require multiple visits to a panel physician and could lead to unnecessary delay in the immigration process.

this information is from the link I posted above

where did you find that exactly my wife is freaking out she doesnt trust blogs and wants to see it on a website.....how do you apply for the waver????

what would you do with this vaccination....it worries me a bit......if she has it done somewhere else she just brings in all her vaccination proof?

  5. i know this is a stupid question cuz we are dealing with the government but how can the demand an immigrant take a vaccine that is not even required for school age girls????????????...........there is not enough information out there as of yet on the long term effects of it at least according to my doctor and my smaller sisters doctor im sure at some point when all the information is in about it at some point it will become something that is required but at this point it is not

    sara

it was on the news tonight....they are making 11 yr olds take it.....what if it causes problems in the future........if its not demanded of americans why are they making immigrants take it????......are they the test subjects???? to see if its safe for americans?????? if anything happens.......wow

yup my sis that is 12 was offered it last year and this year when she went in for the required ones they demand for 12 year olds in middle school here it is still optional and our doctor makes sure she flat tells us i only offer it because i have to

I think Merck, the maker of the vaccine, has probably paid off some politicians so that it will be manditory

  7. I just found this information also

    Friday, February 29, 2008 by

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) instructs "panel physicians" designated in other countries for conducting medical examinations of immigrants to the U.S. in coordination with consular immigrant visa processing. In late 2007, CDC announced two changes for these medical exams.

First, CDC appears to have changed the vaccination requirements for all applicants examined abroad by panel physicians as follows:

Rotavirus vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, human papillomavirus vaccine, and zoster vaccine have been added as age-appropriate to the vaccination requirements.

Hepatitis B vaccine is required through 18 years of age.

Influenza vaccine is required for children ages 6-59 months.

Acellular pertussis-containing vaccines have been developed for persons ages 10-64 years.

Other significant changes to the immigration vaccination requirements are?

Rotavirus vaccine should be given orally to children 2 through 6 months of age.

Hepatitis A vaccine should be given to children 12 through 23 months of age.

Meningococcal conjugate vaccine, specifically tetravalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) should be given to persons 11 through 18 years of age.

Meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine (MPSV) or other forms of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (e.g., monovalent MCV) is an acceptable alternative if MCV4 is not available.

Human papillomavirus vaccine should be given to females 11 through 26 years of age.

Zoster vaccine should be given to persons 60 years of age or older.

Hepatitis B vaccine should be given from birth through 18 years of age.

Influenza vaccine should be given annually to children 6 through 59 months of age. It continues to be required for adults 50 years of age or older.

Acellular pertussis-containing vaccines are available for use in persons at least 10 years of age. The adolescent and adult formulation of tetanus and diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine is given as a single (booster) dose for persons 10 through 64 years of age who have completed the recommended childhood diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and the pertussis/diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis (DTP/DTaP) vaccine series.

  8. along with that i found this information.....i still dont know if the 6 month series for hpv is necessary or just first shot

  9. I have been told that i need to have it. i just need to have the first injection to pass the medical. I cant have it on the NHS ( that is the UK free health service). It is going to cost me 120 pound an injection.

I dont want to have it, but hey, i wanna live with my hubby.

    ROCA

roca are you k1 or k3/cr1/ir1? would like to know because i'm k1 and would like to know how what you were told relates to me? i was hoping to leave the first vaccine shot till america, before aos, as its a lot cheaper there than uk.

:blush:never mind i now see you are doing the i130 route.

Sorry, i just thought you were CR-1/IR-1......... yeah you can go without it and get it all done the US, just have to get it done before you adjust.

    Sorry

    My wife is CR1

    ROCA

  10. Did you only have to get the first shot in the series or did you have to take the entire 6 month series of shots before you were admitted to the usa?

WHERE DID YOU FIND YOU NEED IT its on the list of vaccinations needed.

I DIDNT KNOW UNTIL I SAW IT ON THE NEWS TODAY AND IT IS VERY CONTROVERSAL BECAUSE THEY ARE MAKING 11 YEAR OLDS GET THIS SHOT...They are making 11 year olds get the shot because it has appartenly been shown to reduce the risk of cancer in girls who have not yet been sexually active, hence 11 years old. Once you have been sexually active the percentage of it actually preventing falls quite a bit. (Well so i've ben told by my nurse)......

DID YOU FIND OUT FROM YOUR EMBASSYS? This is the vaccination list from the embassy in london. it should be the same but i'm not sure

    http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/...ccinechart.html

This is all i could find off the embassy website but its from 2007

    VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

U.S. immigration law requires certain categories of visa applicants to obtain the vaccinations listed below prior to the issuance of a visa.

The vaccination report is not required for K – fiance(e)s and K3/K4 applicants. Immigrant visa applicants, however, must submit this report as part of the medical examination process.

Panel physicians who conduct medical examinations on behalf of visa applicants are required to verify that visa applicants meet the vaccination requirement, or that it is medically inappropriate for the visa applicant to receive one or more of the listed vaccinations:

mumps, measles, rubella, polio, tetanus and diphtheria toxoids, pertussis, influenzae type B (HIB), hepatitis B, varicella, pneumococcal, and influenza.

To assist the panel physician, and to avoid processing delays, all visa applicants should have their vaccination records available for the physician’s review at the time of the medical examination. Visa applicants should consult with their regular health care provider to obtain a copy of their immunization record, if one is available. If you do not have a vaccination record, the panel physician will work with you to determine which vaccinations you may need to meet the requirement. Certain waivers of the vaccination requirement are available upon the recommendation of the panel physician.

Only a physician can determine which of the listed vaccinations are medically appropriate for you, given your age, medical history and current medical condition.
