  1. What political agenda is the Mail furthering? Please, enlighten, I am all agog.

Pretending that the home environment had no effect on the kids behaviour is utterly bizarre, but if you are in denial, I guess this is what you must do to make your world view work.

Is agog another word for histrionic?

Pretending: Claiming that a story focusing on pictures of the guns and gun cabinets and ignoring / not mentioning the kid himself or the kid's problems is not an attempt to imply that guns are bad or wrong.

With that said - What part of abandoning a highly disturbed kid to his own devices down in a basement does not imply that this was not a healthy home environment?

  2. You should also note that, while the Mail is an incredibly right leaning newspaper, they are not so blinded by gun obsessives that they see this home as normal and irrelevant to the events that took place. For the rest of the world, such homes are indicative of the epidemic of mass shootings that the US is privy to lead the world in. The rest of the world is clearly mistaken. laughing.gif

The events that took place up there have nothing to do with the normality of the home and everything to do the normality of what appears to be a highly disturbed but largely abandoned kid. What is interesting is the use of this event to further political agendas.

Otherwise, not a bit of time is worth being spent wondering, caring, changing routine for, or in any way, shape, or fashion wasting thought on what the rest of the world thinks of this country.

It IS a handgun, cuz it's held in one hand. More to the point, it's a Crossman break-barrel dart gun, .177 caliber. Typically sold with a wound-paper target at Wal Mart and similar stores.

Here's the other side of a similar one...

Yeah. It's a toy, not a weapon of mass destruction.

  3. It doesn't take much for people (libs) to rally around a totally pointless cause.

Put together those three quotes should give you at least a vague idea that I don't (have a clue what I'm talking about) take the subject seriously.

Posts fixed. You sure got that pointless thing right. Vague doesn't even come close to the size of the lightbulb that goes with that idea sport.

  4. I guess some people never learn even if you beat it into their skulls with a crowbar. The bearded swamp trash fudgenut got suspended because he made his bosses at the TV network look bad. Notice he did not go to jail for speaking his mind. That is what the constitution guarantees, for the most part. You do not do anything to piss off your employer and get away with it, not under our pro-business anti-worker system. Nearly everyone is on at-will employment. You can thank all the sniveling, shite eating, corrupt politicians in Congress and State Legislatures who slithered "at will", "right to work", and other employer rights legislation into law in the last four decades. Y'all are just mad because someone you agree with happened to get rammed a bit by A&E. But the #######-blasting didn't last long. Luckily for you this guy's garbage show is a goddamn cash cow and the only thing that really talks in this country is MONEY.

This is not to say I agreed with the suspension. Mere homophobic ideology is small potatoes compared to the grand scheme of that nuclear train wreck of a "television" show. Most television is absolutely mind numbing.

Suspending him made them look worse. Has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with what average people believe is right and wrong.

  5. Your comment was about how the maps were not indicative of total taxes. The topic is not about the totality of taxation in a particular state. It is about property taxes. Please try to stay on topic.

Yes. Let's summarize. Please try your best to follow along. The sting of following the logic will fade BUT not too soon I hope since it's you and all.

My comment was about the maps. Since the maps are referenced in the thread title then the topic is the maps. Since my comment was about the maps which are pictured nicely in the original post and referenced in the title of the thread then my comment referenced the content of the topic.

You have fallen into the libtrap of believing that you are the one special chosen one to determine which comments referencing the maps on the original post and referencing the taxes in the title of the thread actually are on or off topic, and as such, the exercise of your delusion is actually what is off-topic in the thread, not a comment on the content of the thread itself.

    You may now continue.

  6. Considering the 90+% disagreement with A&E's decision to ####### all over someone's rights to express their opinion I guess they did the sensible thing.

The duck hunting industry will somehow have to pick up the pieces and survive without their 'vast crowds' of gay supporters. Like Chick-fil-A had to do. I would guess it is probably in the long-term more profitable to target families whose children will become future customers than it is to target a few people who will eliminate their gene pool anyway.

Gayness and acceptance of gayness might be being forced down our throats, but as of last reporting gays were 2% of the population, accounted for 78% of new HIV infections in the US, and gay males currently have an hiv incidence rate of 8%. Summary: For every group of 12 gays, 1 is infected with HIV. This can only demonstrate that this is a group who does not care about themselves and each other and are willing to and even cheerful about risking their lives and the lives of others and as such they do not warrant the rest of us caring about them and what they think they have the right to do.

When gays as a whole demonstrate responsible behavior and maintain responsible lifestyles then they will have earned the right to main-stream acceptance. 30 years after the consequences of their irresponsible lifestyles were identified they have not changed their behaviour at all.

Small wonder at the backlash. A&E did the smart thing.

  7. Dropping oil prices had more to do with the fall of the soviets than Reagan ever did.

Reagan was however actively involved in shutting off their market in Western Europe which cut their access to foreign currency.

That raised a good question, when Obama-care hits bottom and we move on to the next Gov't save-all (concerning health insurance) will it follow American citizens abroad?

Yeah - it's already next to impossible to open a bank account overseas even if you live and work there
