  3. Question: The DS 157 is the form which comes from the bank... right? so, why do need fill out thru computer? Unless, USEM requires another DS 157 which to be downloaded from the website... need clarifications with this... Thanks!

  4. Hello VJ family, i have questions to all of you and I will appreciate if you could help me filing up DS 157. I'm little bit confuse here.

Question # 9 --- List all countries you have entered in the last 10 years? ( Give the year of each visit)

--- I never been into other countries only in the Philippines. So I answer Philippines 1998-2008. Is that

    correct???

Question #17--- everytime i type date of attendance, it showed invalid format. Can i write by had on the date of attenndance?

  5. Hi all:

I submitted to the Vermont Service center my !29f for K1 visa April 30th 2008 and Received my NOA1 on May 9th and had the last posted "update" from USCIS on June 27th, 2008. I have read others who have already received their NOA2 and even passed through the National Service center.

I called the toll free number and they just directed me to the processing timelines which says Feb 1 2008! I read here that some vermont processors were moved to citizenship applications and will shift back but...nothing in three months makes me sleepless in CT when others are farther along!

Any advice....who do I call to push the paper?

    Sleepless in CT

Hello to both of you, we're May filers too and we've got NOA2 on Sept. 17 and also got our NVC approval on Sept. 24. And I want you to know that we're approved after my fiance called the USCIS. My fiance called on Sept. 16 and see approval notice sent on the 17th. Here is the number he called at USCIS 1800-375-5283 and my babe said, the one who answered the phone was very nice woman and very approchable. And also my babe called NVC on Sept. 26 and NVC staff said that they already forwarded our papers in Cosulate office and they've already sent him NVC approval notice but still she gave my babe our case number thru phone. NVC number 603-334-0700. You cancall monday thru friday, 7:30AM to 12AM. Thanks to USCIS and NVC staff, they're all very nice. I hope guys this will help for you. Trust in the Lord always. Goodluck...

  6. Hi Everyone,

Well, this morning I checked my email and checked case status and found nothing. But... when I arrived at work, I had an email from CRIS (Case Status Information for Receipt). We are APPROVED! Happy dance! I may actually sleep tonight!

Here is the email contents, for those still waiting:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

    Receipt Number: WACxxxxxxxxxx

    Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On September 18, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Case Status and Processing Dates.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

    Sincerely,

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

    ***** End of Email *****

Here is how it has progressed:

    I-129F sent 4-18-2008

    NOA1 4-28-2008

    Touch 5-14-2008

    Touch 9-16-2008

    Touch 9-17-2008

    NOA2 9-18-2008 (143 days. CSC)

Apparently, getting touched is a very good thing!

I can't explain how frustrating and nerve wracking it was to see others with similar circumstances (same country, etc) being approved that were submitted many days after our petition. But then, most everyone here already knows that frustration. So if you are waiting, hang in there! The wheels may move very slowly and illogically, but they DO move!

Time to celebrate, and of course, start gathering some paperwork!

Best of luck to those still in the queue!

Hello, congratulations to both of you. We're approved too on Sept. 17, 2008, very close. I hope me and your fiancee will have the same medical and interview date. Where she lives in the Philippines? My city is Cagayan de Oro City. Take care and God bless.
