  1. I was hoping someone else might know the answer to my situation. My fiancee worked for more then a year in Korea, but is now in another country. On one website I was told that you should go to the U.S. embassy or consulate for the police certificate. I was wondering if this was true or that the Korean embassy or consulate is the place to go. Does anyone also know how long it might take to get a police certificate? Thank you.

I was required by usem to acquire a police clearance from Taiwan even though its way back 12 years. Instead of going to Taiwan embassy, I went to TECO here in Makati. It takes 3 to 4 weeks duration to receive the clearance as advised in the application form. In your case, you try to go to there embassy or consulate and ask them how to apply for the clearance.

  2. I was done with my medical check up last Monday-Tuesday and Praise God, though it was tough, I think I passed it. But, they took my passport. Is that alright? They said, they are the one who'll forward it to the embassy all together with my medical record at the embassy.

Hi! Don't think that you passed, but you really pass your medical exams. If you didn't pass at all, maybe until now you have an extended med.exams.. They really have to get your passport and they'll be the one to forward it to the embassy with the medical results and so with the cd of your x-ray.

  3. What to do next? What are the documents that my fiance need to send for my upcoming interview? Pls help me. Thanks in advance. God bless us all.

    Geren

You have to pay dv at metrobank and pay your visa at bpi. Bpi have there ds-157 forms wherein they print at the back that they recieve your payment (photocopy it). Print out The ds -156(2 copies) and ds-156k(1 copy) from usem website. Your fiance must send you ITR, W2, I-134,and phone bills

  4. He could have his wife fax or scan and email the copy of the interview letter. He could also go online to the embassy's website and check if his case is there and print out a letter. Good luck.

happyinlove is right, if he or she has e-mail add. they can go online to usem website or call the call center again and edit your appointment of interview. Be sure to give/submit your e-mail add. and instantly you'll recieve a mail from them which you can print out. Good luck!

  5. Hi everyone! Hope everyone out there can help me.

Me and my fiancee has this concern about Hepatitis B. I am positve on this, it's an in-born thing and genetic in our family. I'm just a carrier but I'm not communicable. Will this be a problem for a denied visa to US? Wud you know anybody having this kind of problem? What shall the things do you think we shall do? I am very much worried really about this. Now we are waiting for the NOA2, but am very much afraid if later this will be the cause of denied visa when the time will come for me for the medical. Does anyone knows same case with me? Please help...

Please if you have any suggestion or advice, then that would be greatly appreciated by us.

Thank you. . . God bless you all VJ members! :innocent:

Hi! While waiting for your NOA2, maybe you go to your doctor and inquire for the best cure. Your Doc. can advise you what you will do, if you'll undergo medications or not.. Don't worry! Take care and GOD bless you.

  6. Your letter from usem is on the way to your doorstep(be patient).Schedule your appointment of interview, then usem will send you a confimation through your e-mail add. Print this and use it for your medical exam's. documents, include the letter from usem where your case number, name and category is written. Good luck!

  7. Hello mga Sis

One month Before your medical exam,

take a lot of Vitamin C and fruits conteniously

to make your immune system strong.

One week Before your medical exam,

make sure that you dont have any common sickness,

like fever, colds, stomach craamps or headaches.

Make sure that your menstrual period is done before the medical exam.

Because if you are having your menstruation during your Medical exams they

would ask you to leave the premises and come back another day when your period is done.

I tried taking multi vitamins or enervon c and luckily i was in good shape even though we have a weird climate nowadays. Be sure not to have colds and cough coz' the doctors may suspect you have tubercolusis and may delay your medical exams...

that's all? is it alright to go and have my medical exam though I haven't paid the application fee yet?

So that means, I'm going to bring my DS-156 with me where my payment is validated? Thanks "mehere". You're such a great help :-)

no need to bring your ds 156 when you'll have your medical exams. just bring your cash, passport, appointment letter (photo copied), 2x2 visa photos and a ballpen. good luck!

  11. What exactly do they need for CR interview? My CR1 interview was done last May and I already have my visa. Does anyone know what's gonna happen what will they ask my 4 year old daughter? I'm just there to accompany her. What kind of pictures do I have to bring? I assume my daughter's case wont be as tedious as spouses and fiance's. And I didn't pay her DV because she's a minor...I'm sorry for sounding unprepared..My visa expires November and I really don't want to leave my daughter. thanks.

Try to follow up or call the hotline of usem. If you have an e-mail add they can send you an appointment letter, then print it and will be on time for your daughter's medical.

Bring pictures of you together and so with her dad.Birth cert., baptismal certificate, itr and w2 and I-134 from petitioner. My daughter was 10 yrs. old then when she was interviewed, the co asked for petitioners name and birthday and grandmothers name (which was written on the forms). My daughter was given a white and pink form since w2 was not in hand at that time. No dv needed for her but a fee for visa delivery.

    Good luck!

  12. Tomorrow my wife and children begin the medical at SLMEC. The post on medicals and interviews by other members here have been so helpful to prepare. If everything goes well with the medical, we'll have the interview on October 10th. I still can't believe it is actually happening after waiting for so long.

    good luck and GOD bless

  13. Hi guy's! I had my medical last sept. 18 and 19. It was thurs. and fri., there were less people on those days. So I started at 6:30 a.m. and was done at 10:15 a.m. The part of the medical where I was most worried at is the physical check-up. I've read from here about scars on the wrist. Since I had a scar an inch away from my right hand wrist, I prayed to God that my examiner wouldn't notice it.When the examiner said "raise your hands" then checked it, then turned it around, there was no comment or questions from the examiner. Then afterwards the examiner told me to go to the u.s. counter. Wow! I passed Thanks GOD! So no psychology test for me.

The next day Fri., I came for my immunization at 8:30 a.m. and was done at 11:15 a.m..I passed my medical exams and ready for my next level....my interview on Sept.29. Prayers and blessings for all of us who will be having an interview soon.

congratz and goodluck, my husband interview will be on sept 29th too.830 am

Thanks! Good luck too sa inyo ni Hubby mo. My appointment time will be at 7:00 a.m.. bless you both.

Hello mehere! Relax on your day for the medical. Before I entered the room, I prayed that my examiner wouldn't notice my scar. My prayer was answered by GOD instantly, He said "ask and you shall receive". Don't worry I'll include everybody and especially you (who's worried too of the scar) in my prayers. GOD bless you and your family.

You'll find HIM right where HE is supposed to be. - in HIS word, in prayer, and in the voice of the Holy Spirit who lives within you. Our GOD who says "seek, and you will find", also promises that "He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM". So you can rejoice that GOD is right where He is supposed to be, and He is waiting for you right now. :star:
