Hey everyone hope you are all well! Zain sent the packet 3 off on March 4th. When should we hear back from the embassy? How soon after they get your packet do they start scheduling the interview? I am flying out with a couple other ladies from the Islamabad forum on the 28th in hopes to be there on his interview. I took off for 30 days from the job. Do you think his interview will be before or after March 28th and will 30 days be long enough time for me to be there with him in hopes I am there for his date? Please let me know you all, I'm a workaholic a mother of 3 young ones and can't get on here as much as some of you!

We sent our letter on Feb 28th and recieved the interiew date yesterday. They usually give you an interview 3 weeks after you recieve your letter. So my guess is that your interview date should be in between April 5 to April 15.

Also remember that they don't give your passport on the spot. They take about 2 weeks to provide you the passport with your visa on it. According to most timeline at VJ, your visa should be in your hand around the last week of April. good luck and i hope everything works out for you.

I have sent tons of stuff to my fiancee already to prove that we are engaged and our relationship is ongoing. Give me little heads up on the fees (Medical fees and visa fees) whatever else fees that will need to be paid. Thanks

Sorry, going thru a ruff time .... thats why dont feel like posting much ! Anyways, not sure bout the Medical fees( I think she paid 6 or 7 thousand rupees) As for the Visa fees, she had to pay 131$.

and those who needed a joint sponsor probably it takes more time for them but how much time usually or in your case?

Do u have any information regarding the same question about a family who has immigrated on F4 case.

Hey Saran if I were you, I would call DOS I read your interview experience & it looks like you guys were approved but CO wanted a joint sponsor rite? Call DOS or write an email to Embassy... ask them to give you an update on your case. Goodluck

I was told by the DOS that my fiance's visa was printed on 2/26/09. Not sure wat that means since they dun have his passport... i was told that now embassy is waiting for the 'expired' docs... Hopefully the embassy will contact us soon.... i hope this is puts an end to our AP:(

Arghz, I called the Islamabad embassy and they told me they are closed. lolz. Thanx to Nawaz Sharif Sahab. Ab in logon ki wajah se embassiyan bhi band hone lagin. Allah bala kare Pakistan ka. Ameen!!

I have been calling Islamabad Embassy from last 3 hours (12:30 to 03:30) and the lins was busy. It was the WORST calling experience of my life. I mean I have waited on hold for other agencies for long period of time but 3 hours and not once they responded. Oh, come on now. Don't tell me they were busy that's why. I am 110% sure they don't take calls when they don't feel like it and pretend like they are receiving high volume of calls. Pshhhhhhh

Dont waste your time calling Embassy! It will do no good! Have you tried emailing them?

Yes good 2 noe he got his visa. Thr is always a light at the end of tunnel! Even if the tunnels long and frightening, there's always a light at the end no matter how long it takes.

I would say a month or maybe couple of months at most. My girl was telling me that they were approving all the the ladies. Everybody got pink/red slip except for one girl(her miyan income wasn't good enuff). So you see, you dont even have to worry about AP.. I am sure all will b fine & good! Good luck & loads of duas.

And oh oh oh, who knows the cheapest way to call Pakistan from USA? I was using this card (Geo Asia), they came down to 35 minutes from 2 hours for $4. Silly billy them.

What's USEM?

USEM means Embassy. Did I throw you off? If so then I am sorry.. lol I remember my first day on VJ, I was totally baffled for hours. Ppl were throwing around the acronyms left and rite. I didn't know what was AP or AR or USEM or NOA2 etc but you get used to it after a while as u read more and more.

What I was saying was you can also email Embassy & ask them about your interview date. Dont bug them with emails everyday or else they will not reply to you. Do it once a week & be sure to put your case number when you write an email. Do you know the address?

As for how long it takes to get NOA#2 depends on your service center/location. We got ours in a month. for others it takes 3mons or so.

It takes 4-6 months.

what's next after sending packet 3.5? I don't know when they received packet, how long after that do I have to call to fix an interview date. And when is the earliest we can get an interview date. How does the whole thing go. I am so ready to go to Pakistan. lolz. can't waitttttttttttttttttttttttt to see her again. winx

You wait two weeks then you will get interview letter from Amex. Call DOS next week to see if they ve received the packet or not. You can also email USEM!
