sorry to hear you are all still stuck at NVC! We are still stuck at USCIS so I know what kind of feeling this is

My fiancé brought the affidavit of support with him when he came her end of October. Since things get significantly delayed right now, I wonder how long the affidavit will be valid and how long can it be used for the interview?

Does anyone know??

hi!!! got no luck today...i called the embassy and they said that they don't have my record yet...why oh why nvc????????they want me to call the nvc...huhu....but the operator is kind...tr my luck next time...

You should really be calling the NVC to get any info on your case, o9nly they can tell you if your case is complete and been submitted to embassy...dont forget to press 1 then 5 to talk to a live person as the automated info will not store anything on a K1 visa....lots of luck

i'll try to call the embassy on monday.coz others called the embassy and had their interview date already..what do you think guys?????...how do we know if the nvc passed it to the embassy already????????

Did NVC confirm they sent it out to Manila yet.... a lot of us recd letter saying it would be sent out in a week but it actually never happened....just checking.

your timeline shows it was sent off to embassy on the 1st...it should be there in a few more day.... youre almost there. Goodluck!!

what documents are needed to obtain NBI clearance and how long does it take to get it? Faster in Quezon city than Los Banos?

Mine took over a week.... I have a lot of people with the same name so it required further processing to be sure.

just found out a bit of info that might mean good news for us...

So it seems another VJ member is also stuck at NVC for AP, so they had their congressman call for an update... NVC response to the congressman was their batch is next in line for processing.

Meaning, they must have batches they send out to embassy and theirs is next to be sent out or just need a final review then sent.

Anyway, I was trying to put two and two and looking at my email from the NVC the other day how it said "this petition is now eligible for further processing" I wonder if it could possibly mean that it just needs a final review and it will be on it's was out.... doesnt hurt to think positive

HONESTLY Guys.... do you think there could even be a slight chance that NVC might deny a petition. I know Ive heard they have no athority to do so.... or I wonder do you think that this is a sign of more problems to come at the embassy level?

I don't know..bit I confess I've thought of that. I wonder if whatever problem they have at NVC, they pass on to the embassy...so maybe the inquistion is not yet over even when it gets here.

Yes that was my same thought.... I have to prepare my self for any questions might be thrown at me....thank goodness I think I know "everything" about my fiance in case they throw anything at me It cant be possibly on me.... I's clean hehehe.

I've had my medical exam....does it really matter, I mean does that expire? I hope it doesnt cause any problems since the Embassy doesnt have my file yet.... they said they would keep my passport and med results till my interview comes up.

If they dont move any faster...who knows what color we'd be by the end of this

I am soooo tired of waiting. Have you all done your medical? Honestly I have ran out of things to do to keep my mind off of this. All my docs are ready... I've been ready for the interview for months.

Im not really sure what to think anymore, I have lost so much sleep over this and is causing a lot of stress for me and my fiance.

We were really hoping to be married on Valentines Day but the way things are looking Im not sure Ill be able to make it out on time. Still trying to be optimistic though.

Dento, Im sorry to hear youre wait is so long..... Thats's just about as worst as what were are going thru over here. Hopefully once NVC receives your case it will go right thru their office. Best Of Luck.

Oh I'm not sure?!?!? It sounds alot like that I'm told on the phone. I'd call them again before getting my hopes up. I hope it's good news for you though.

I called again today. Same ole story.

Oh Gosh really...... I have emailed them at least 4 times in the past month and each time their response was that they have received our petition and assigned a case number and will notify us when it has been forwarded to the consulate. This is the only reply that is worded differently from the rest..

Arrggggg, I wish he could go home and call them real quick...my phone isnt working right now.

I really dont want to get my hopes up, but I am really hoping that this is a good sign.

ok so we got approved on Dec 5th, and I've received our NOA2 on 12/12/08 and so now it's 12/17 and I just called NVC and they haven't received our petition yet, they have no record of it do you think I should be worried? I mean how long does it take to get from CSC to NVC? help me please I really worry now...... I mean I look at the other similar timelines with me and cases and NVC received their petition within 6-8 days......

Any help would be appreciated!!

Did you speak to a live person or did you use the automated service.... the automated service does not have that information available for K1 visa you have to actually speak with someone to find out.... maybe it's just delayed with the Holidays. I wouldnt be so worried yet.

My fiance told me today that when he called he wasa placed on hold and when the man returned he could hear what seems to noises of papers as if he was going thru our papers...I thought they only had the computer as reference and not the actual file, I found this to be really odd and interesting, hhmmmmm
