Hi guys, youre pretty quiet today... I hope everyone is doing well.... My situation these days seem to be that the Embassy is taking longer than usual to allow you to set up an interview and sending the packets out even though theyve had our file for 12 days now. They've told several people that they are backlogged. Another wait, but at least we are almost there...

So how is everyone doing...any news today for the ones still under AP? Im gonna say it again, there is an end, pls hang in there..

Hi VJ's~ I am hoping someone here can tell me how this process works. I have a friend who is the beneficiary of a F2B and her visa priority date is about to come current. Their file has been sitting at NVC for the last few years, when her visa date is current does NVC send her a packet or will they forward the case to Manila and they will send her a packet. Her mom doesnt know and she just wants to start preparing but wasnt sure who she would hear from next. How does this process usually work out? Thanks for any clarification you can provide

I just rang and asked if it had been sent to the embassy and she said "Yes Ma'am it was sent on Monday the 12th"

I am so happy I'm crying! one day short of the 6 weeks when they sent it.

WELLGOOD NEWS FOLKS I WENT AHED BEFOR I KNEW I WAS IN ADMINSTRATIVE PROCESSING AND I SEND THE ds3032 BY EMAIL. i GOT AND EMAIL TODAY SAING WHAT EVERY DOCUMENT THAT WAS SENT BEFORE TIME WAS NOT REVIEWED AND. THAT MY CASE IS NOW ELIGIBLE FOR FORTHE PROCESSING AND THAT THE BENNIFICENARY AND PETITIONER AND/OF LAWYER WILL BE CONTACTED SHORTLY. SO IT LOOKS LIKE I AM OUT OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING . THAK YOU LORD 6 WEEKS BUT STIL THANK YOU LORD.

I am afraid that is a canned reply. Some of us here got one of those...and were still in AP a couple of weeks later.

You took the words out of my mouth cdneh.... he is referring to the same email I recd which didnt mean squat!!! Not to disappoint you W H C, but I got my hopes up too when i got that email but I was still in AP.... 6 weeks and 3 days to be excat... I would just call and find out for sure. I wouldnt depend on that email alone.

They must be doing something new for so many people to be experiencing this, BUT I just want to emphasize that there is an END....We were stuck there for 6 weeks and 3 days to be exact....still no packet 3 though, but I will just wait for it in the mail before I call to set up an interview. Well lets just be hopeful that you just ended up with someone who didnt know what the heck they were talking about.... I have never heard this situation at all, maybe what she meant is that you will receive something from the embassy in the next 2-4 weeks.

I know it must be the worst thing to hear specially with everything you'vre been through. Would it help to talk to a supervisor????

I guess we wont be calling and waste our time, Im sure we are still stuck there just like you guys!!

Just hang on there..you are just at the starting point of your journey. could take a couple of months before you will have everything in order. Background check is part of the process. The petition your petitioner filed for you does not mean you are getting your visa but only means he is eligible to file for him to bring you here. That is why there is the so called"processing time and interview to see if you deserve to be granted a visa.

K1's are not usually held this long at NCV. The ordinary time there is 1-2 days for K1's. That is why the concern.

We haven't GOT to the interview stage and can't until we are released by NVC. We were approved by Vermont or California, and are held up at NVC.

NVC haven't the power to deny anything in our cases, and they sure don't decide whether or not we deserve to get a visa thanks.

they are really unfair ,mostly all the papers was not stuck for too long in NVC..look what happen to us... it is almost 2 months for us now, its really terrible and bullshit processing....

last time the congressman call my fiancee , and she told us that our papers was next for the processing.. i don't know what they mean...ggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...

Speaking of that congressman situation and this "youre in the next batch to be processed"...whatever happened to that, that was about more than weeks ago when they told you that. It wouldnt be a bad idea for that congressman to follow this up for you since that came directly from her.

So, for all you guys out there - Everything will be OK. Keep calling, ask for supervisors and get names if you can. The biggest problem in the case of a protracted wait is the change in administrations from Bush to Obama. If things get really hairy we'll have to chat with Hillary! Oh, god... please let the case get approved :-) (No offense Hill-Baby, I voted for Obama and your <clearing throat> Husband) :-)
