  1. Hi everybody,

How do you see if you're being touched?? I've logged on to the USCIS website (both email notification and logging in as a customer), but I don't see the date change :crying: . Does that means were not being touched? 'We're doing everything through a lawyer, so does anybody know if that means that she will hear if we are being touched, instead of us?

Long story short, I'm just being impatient....

  2. Hi everybody,

We have filed in July to, on the 8th. They received it on July 31st. Does this mean that's our NOA1?

We are using a lawyer, cause at the time that we started with gathering all the information it looked like a good idea...

she's doing her job good so far, but it wasn't really necessary to file through a lawyer.

Anyhow.... good luck to all of you  ... hopefully the waiting won't be too long!

  3. Welcome to VJ you will find very useful infor on this site, the timeline and statistics are helpful to compare with other going through the same process as you.

By the way, I actually saw people using the wooden shoes in a small village in Holanda called Staphorst.

    Good luck

I actually live very close to Staphorst!! It's about a 5 min. drive!

And there are still people over there who are wearing wooden shoes. Most of them are farmers.

But about 98% of the people wear regular shoes, and I am one of them.

  4. Hoi Tessa,

  5. Hi and Welcome to VJ! :)

I'm gonna live near the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the east side of Va.

It's very beautifull there, so I'm looking forward to moving there!

Another big plus is that it's not to far from DC (1,5 hour drive... of course without traffic!).

  6. Hi everybody,

I thought of introducing myself to, since I'm new here  .

I'm 33 years old and from the Netherlands and my fiance (from the US) and I have filed for a K1 visa last week... so the big waiting has begun!

Well, actually we are waiting since we first met, almost 2 years ago. Nobody said it would be easy and it sure isn´t!

But reading the stories of people who went through the same, sure helps a lot! Thank you all for that.

When I (hopefully soon!!) get my visa, i'm gonna live in Virginia... so of course if there are already dutch people living there,

I would love to hear from them.

We have filed our visa request through a lawyer, but I'm still not sure if this is making it better or worse... time will tell.

At least it's filed in Vermont, and I saw that it's going a little faster than the other service centers...

Well this is my little story so far. I hope to hear and read from you.

    Bye, bye
