Many congratulations!

Your wife should be honest in the interview and say that you didn't go on a honeymoon. If they ask why, she can tell them about the restrictions because of her internship.
I've read many CR-1 interview reviews where they don't ask about honeymoons--now that may be different given the Consulate you are working with.
By the way, my husband and I didn't go on a honeymoon either. Hopefully we'll be able to do that soon!
good luck!

I don't have any advice for finding out what's going on with getting your papers over to NVC, but I do have a few words for you: Congratulations on the approval!! Just a little bit more to go...
-
Interviews are scheduled the 2nd week of each month for the following month if your Consulate has space for the upcoming month. You should call NVC back the 2nd week of October to find out when you'll have the interview.
Good luck.

Congratulations! This is a good report and it sounds like the whole interview went really well!

UPDATE: BNM has passed his interview and would like to pass congrats to him and his wife
I'm all for hearing good news.
Keep it coming!
Congratulations!

I mailed in our information to USCIS having paid for someone else to translate it--even though I am qualified to do so. I was nervous they wouldn't accept it so I paid a professional.
But when it came time to mail in our DS 230 packet I did write just as the others have posted here that I was certified to do so--and it was all accepted with no problems. You just need to add the couple of sentences that others have posted and you will be fine.

happyinlove--
don't worry the letter is on it's way. Maybe it arrived to me sooner because I live closer to NVC than you do--so it didn't have to go all the way to the West Coast. Let us know when it arrives!

We got our interview letter today as well, one week after interview date was set. Now on to medical and then the interview! yay!

hi alan and noemi! you are bailing me out again, huh? muchas gracias....
yes i did... but i cant remember the answer to the security question they ask ! there seems to be no other place to go from there. ive dug thru my whole file looking for this password. i cant believe i never knew this was how to check for touches!
kathie
It won't help you at all to resolve the issues with logging-in and such, but it may help to know that our case never showed any touches before it was approved.
Good luck!

I am so excited. I am planning on travelling the day i get my passport back. From what i have read from reviews of the London embassy, passports tend to come back the following morning. I'm already to go, been packed since my husband left 8 weeks ago ( he lived here for a year and bit). I cant wait.
ROCA
ROCA,
Packed for 2 months?! wow!
Before you hit the road when the passport arrives--write in and let us know how the interview went. I for one am so anxious about our upcoming interview that I look forward to reading the reports of others--it gives hope and ideas on what to plan for!
All the best at the interview and your upcoming travels!

FYI: Our interview letter arrived in the mail this morning, one week after interview date was scheduled.

Can anyone tell me what "administative process" means?
My husband had his interview in Caracas for our Ir1 visa on 09.18.08. The interview went well. He had all the necessary paperwork and the questions he was asked were very simple (Where did you meet?, Had he met my family?...). However, at the end of the interview, he was given a white slip with a 221 g for "administrative process" and was told to e-mail the the Embassy in one week for the status. The interviewer told him this was just a formality since he had previously been in the US on a A1/A2 Diplomatic Visa. Has anyone experienced this? Maybe this is due to the recent issues between Venezuela and the US?
Any comment or thoughts would be appreciated
Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that you've been placed on AP. Hopefully it will go by quickly. You may try posting this in the Latin American thread as well as the AP thread in order to get useful responses.
And I doubt that it has little to do with US-Venezuelan relations, but that's just my guess.
good luck.

I joined one thread about waiting for the interview letter and now this one--just to find out when folks receive their letters. We are waiting for ours as well.
I have called NVC and was told that our letter was mailed Monday the same day that the interview was scheduled. She rep said "oh it should be arriving any day." All of NVC's mailings to me always took over a week and this mail appears to be arriving at the same slow rate...I am hoping it arrives soon so that we can also plan accordingly for the medical review.
Good luck to those who have only a few days to go before their interviews. I hope the letters arrive very soon! Please post when you all start receiving them...

Wanted to say hi to SusieK, it was a long journey that we started a year ago????!!!!!
I-130 recieved by CSC on Novemer 1st, 2007

Thanks for all of the replies; they are all very helpful.
I spent 3 hours yesterday searching around on every single website I know of and could find listed on VJ for tickets trying all kinds of combinations of cities and dates. I ended up finding the cheapest ticket ($20 cheaper than ATI and that ticket was a steal) and ($100-$200) cheaper than the typical sites at, surprisingly enough, expedia. I had searched Expedia earlier, but this cheap-o flight didn't come up until the very end of my searching...so I grabbed it!
thanks for all of the help!

Hi Jgay80. thanks for the reply. I kept searching and searching last night all of the websites I could find and ended up finding one $20 cheaper then ATI. But it's good to know that you had no problems with ATI because I am confident I will be searching them again in the future--the prices were great for my search terms!
Maybe you've posted this elsewhere, but your case was complete on June 18th so why such a long delay in the scheduling of an interview?! Is the backlog that long? wow. Hope you have good news this coming month! Happy early anniversary!

hey everyone.
I just wanted to join in on this thread so that I could be sure to hear when folks start receiving the interview letter. Like many of you, my husband can't schedule his medical interview until he has the letter in hand so I'm anxiously awaiting it so that I too can scan and email it to him. When i called NVC yesterday they said that they mailed me the letter the same day that they scheduled the interview--Monday Sept 15th.
Good luck to everyone and hope those letters arrive soon!

Hello VJ.
I'm looking for a ticket to fly to be with my husband for our upcoming interview.
At some point I have come across this site http://www.atiflights.com/ and I'm wondering if anyone here has used them before. I found a ticket with a substantial (more than $100) savings compared to orbitz, expedia, sidestep, etc. However, I don't know anything about ATI Flight.
Please respond with any comments or advice.
Thank you

congratulations!
I'm still pumped about our case complete and interview date--so I know exactly the joy you are feeling!
Good luck with the medical!
