  1. Hey everyone how are you guys? CONGRADS to the recent approvals, getting their welcome letter and green cards :dance: . Thanks to the people who shared their interview experience with everyone and glad to hear that everyones experience went well. Update on me, I am still around guys, I just recently moved to a new apartment and have been busy with my new job as a nurses aid so that has been taking alot of my time and plus we dont have the internet till Saturday since we just moved in. Inregards to immigration still havent heard a god damn word yet about my interview since, it has been 5 weeks and still nothing. I wonder how long the madness is going to continue. Anyways guys glad to hear everyones success stories and to those still struggling with USCIS like myself, keep your head up and all we be well in the end. I do hate USCIS for the record guys, seriously with a passion, I think its unbelievable they have done this to many people including me on my status, really f***** up. Anyways guys, I will be back in full swing on Saturday so will let you know if any news has come up.

Hi Canadianmade, really upset to hear you are still waiting for news. But i am glad you found a job, much better to kill time and get payment, right? Don't worry, green card is yours, and you will get it. Did you try to contact USCIS about your case? I know it's really difficult to reach a real person to ask your phone and help you. You are getting there,,,

For me, i received the welcome letter today.

  2. By the way Guys, when can I see the updates online? 2 days after interview?

    Thank you!

    Congratulations!!

My online file was updated only 6 days after the interview, but it's not like this for everyone. Some are updated right away, some never are! So don't rely on the online status at all. Within 10 days you will hopefully receive your Welcome Letter and that means you are approved without having to submit any further papers. Congratulations for your baby as well! :star:

Thank you Rosie74. I will waiting for the mail, silently, just like before. Hehe!

  3. Hello Guys,

I haven't been here for many days, but i still update my info.

I had interview today at Hartford, CT and pass it. But the problem is the officer can't find my medical report ( i did it in China before my visa interview). So the officer said you will receive either green card or mail about medical report in one month. By the way, because i am pregnant now, there is one shot (Vaccination) i can not have now. Don't know what will I receivd,,,

Before interview, I saw a couple with a daughter, the cutie said PAPA, then i feedbacked you speak Chinese? So of course we had a short conversation with that couple. During this, I possible heard an officer call somebody's name, sounded like my Chinese name. But it was noisey there, so i didn't catch it. On the way that couple was going out, that office showed her letter about name, she said no. So i asked it was whom, she said Xia.... Oh that was me. So finally the officer found us, me and my hubby.

Anyway, that officer is a nice man. When he saw my belly and asked are you pregnant? I said yes, then he told me there was a lady went to labor during his interview 1 month ago  As procedure, swear first, then passports, drive licence, SS card. He asked us how we met; because of age difference, he asked why i marry with my hubby; double check info on I485 form with NO questions; then asked when will be my due date; what is the name of our baby; when we married, showed him the marriage certificate; and i gave a copy to him. Then he said show me the proofs you are couple, so we gave him bank statement, light bill, phone plan, medical insurance card, a mail from my hubby's daughter congralating us for the coming baby.

He also asked me signed the paper and explain me have to remove the 2 years condition in Nov 2009.

That is all i think. oh i noticed he wrote down how we met, my due date and my coming baby's name etc on the paper. I think it will come out for my second green card interview, i mean for 10 years one.

It went quite smooth, i hope i will receive Green card instead of mail asked to do another medical report. :(

  4. hello everyone, want to share my news with you guys.

I got my EAD card on Jan 12; and I got my interveiw letter in mail today, the interview date is March 10, 11:30AM.

Hey Eileen how are you? Nice to hear from you and congrads on getting approved for your EAD and getting your interview letter as well, fantastic news :dance: . I knew you would hear something from USCIS. Now you got to go and get your SSN card and prepare for your interview.

  5. Dear All,

I received the notice for AOS interview( I arrived US on K1 visa, filed the AOS on Nov and already received my EAD card), but when I read the notice for the things you must bring with you for the interview, I don't understand the following 2 items,

    1. All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident status

    2. Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise, we may keep your original for our records.

Can anyone explain clearly and detailed for me, please? Thanks so much.

    drl

I also need info about this too, UPUPUP!

  6. Hey Eileen how are you? Congrads to you on getting approved for your AP and EAD, I bet you were excited when you received the good news. You will get both things probably in a week, but you wil get your AP first I believe. I am waiting on my EAD. You will get your interview notice soon, I am telling you. Thanks for the congrads and my wife and I are preparing for the interview, so I am pretty nervous to be honest. I read that you are pregnant in the thread, congrads to your husband and you for having a baby on the way. Hope all is well and nice to hear from you. Take care.

    Finally my EAD ordered

I am fine, almost 7 months pregnant, :innocent: a baby boy. hehe. I got my AP in the mail today.

Have a good preparation for the interview, pls. I don't know what they request for interview, so i hope my interview will be after i delivered the baby, so i will have a proof child birth certificate,

Good luck to you. I heard from my friends that green cards can be received 2 weeks after interview passed.

  7. Hi Eileen,

I am assuming Chicago is a very busy office, that's why my interview is later than everybody else's. But you know what? It gives me a little more time to prepare everything, and I am glad i received it, even if it's still 2 months away, at least I know my case is moving. It's reassuring :)

Good luck to you and your baby!! :)

You are right, you have enough time to prepare. hehe.

Now i am stilling waiting for my interview letter...

I have no updates on my I 485 yet, you already got your interview letter. Good for you!

  10. I received e-mails from CRIS today stating that my EAD and AP are both approved! Yay!

Rosie, please update my data in the October filers' excel sheet.

    Congratulations!

    Updated :)

    HI Rosie,

i saw your timeline, your interview date is 3/3/2009. Which state are you in now? How come your date is later than the other filers?

For my medical report, i am expecting a REF, because i am pregant now, i didn't have the vaccination. But it has to be done after i delivered the baby & before interview too. I hope my interview date is in May, my baby's due date is April 10.

Good luck to all of us, and my baby too. :star:

    Eileen

No REF letter until now, and no updates on I 485 :crying:

  12. I guess the link I posted earlier for the timeline did not work..

    Try this: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pze...X2bQoUgSQKgZsDw

Hey Rosie, thanks for giving us the link again. I dont want to sound annoying but my biometrics appointment is on

    Novemeber 24, 2008

Hi Canadianmade, i haven't been here for many days. i saw you timeline, but i have a question how did you know your case is touched? by chekcing on internet?

  13. Hi everyone, I made a few changes to the spreadsheet.

I updated some dates and ordered the usernames in alphabetical order so they're easier to find.

I yet have to add a couple of users that joined our thread in the past few days, sorry! I plan on doing that by the end of the week (been busy at work again...).

In case somebody doesn't have the link to the spreadsheet, here it is again: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pze...X2bQoUgSQKgZsDw :)

    Good luck to all!!

Its me again Rosie, sorry I should of mentioned it, in my reply, but I did receive my biometrics appointment letter today

    in the mail :D

Hi CanadianMade, I got my letter yesterday Nov 13 for the Biometrics appointment. The appointment date is Nov 29, 11am. Very good, it will be Sat, my hubby don't need to ask for leave.

    Good luck to us!

  14. I received the NOV2 back in August. However, due to slow processing at the foreign consulate, my fiance just received her packet 3 a few days ago. Now, the NOV2 stated that it is valid from August of 2008 to December. Is this period still relevant now that the files have been forwarded to the consulate? Should I worry that it will probably expire before she is scheduled for an interview? I called USCIS and the lady I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. I remember reading somewhere about filing for extension in some cases. Does anyone know whether we fall into this category? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

    Jon

For Guangzhou you will be fine... they rarely make it in the 4 mos. time frame

This is a non-issue as the Consular officer will simply extend the validity as needed.

You don't need to worry about it right now. GZ will never finished the case in 4 months (my approval valid date was from Feb to June, but my interview as last July 10).

What your fiancee will need to do is when she enter custom E.G in Detroit, she will wait for the line as visitors. The custom officer will checked her seal package, if they saw the date is over the date showed on the Approval Letter, she will be transferred to a special process line, they will handle her there.

So it will cause her to miss the flight connection of course, mostly i should say, not 100%. But you can catch the next flight without paying extra cost.

  15. hi,

I came back from Gunagzhou two days ago, my fiance was denied and they did not look at our documents. My fiance said, It was a racist black lady with fingers missing make sure your fiance avoids her. She should ignor when they call her number and later can say I was in bathroom. My fiance said, she rejected before her everyone.

I did apply again today. I'm very angry and helpless, they just ask her two Questions and gave her white paper less than a minute.

    Wishing you the best.

    Ramin.

Sorry to hear about the white slip Ramin. I have heard about tales of a black lady with a bad attitude at GZ. I will ask my fiance to try to avoid her. I have also read your details through your profile page and will contact you directly. Hang in there.

NO, you can not try to avoid any interview officers. It is luck, because they will call your name at random depends on which officers finished first until everyone was interviewed.

  16. Hi eileenho congrads to you for receiving your NOAs in the mail today and I bet you were looking in your mailbox everyday, which I was

LOL. I am waiting for my biometrics appointment just like you and yes, it does seem like we both do have the same schedule. My

package was received on OCT 28. I called to see if my checks has been cashed yesterday but it hasnt but I might have to call again today

to see if it was finally cashed. Good luck to you and to all Oct filers

Hi, did you try to check ur status online? My receipt numbers seem not working. it begins with MSC, how about yours?
