    Hi folks,

    Been a member for several months but my first post here. Want to let you all know that our petition was approved today by VSC! There really is hope for all of you out there feeling like it will never come!!

    BTW, we were 166 on the NEW Igor's List when the approval came today. VJ said adjudication between January 22 and February 9.

    Thanks to everyone for making this community so valuable. On to NVC and HCMC!!!

    I tried to call the automated NVC line and it said they didn't have our case number in their system... but this was under the option for 'immigrant visas'. (Option 1) Then I selected option '2', which covered fiancé visas, but it said it would connect me to an operator. Isn't there an automated way to check the status of fiancé visa cases?

    u need to speak to a live person, k-1 are not in the automated system

    Aaaah.. I thought for a moment it got lost somewhere between Vermont and NVC, haha

    Hi Furious Biscuit, you should call and talk to a life person as we did. Our petition got approved the same day (Jan 6) as your's and NVC recieved out case on (Jan 8) and they sent it out to the US embassy in Nigeria yesterday (Jan 12) so you should call and give them your USCIS reciept number, you may call later in the Night before 12am eastern time, few customers calling at that time, good luck on the rest of the Journey............

    Still stuck in AP.

    Congrats on the NOA2's...

    and I'm going to manila on Feb 3 (get there Feb 4 thanks to the joys of time zones and 25 hour flights it comes to a 39 hour difference), her interview date is the 6th, and all goes well we'll fly home together on feb 17th... I'm finally counting down to a specific day... instead of counting up until who knows when. I am sure everyone will have NOA2's by then, I don't think I will win the first august filer to get their fiance(e) into the US race but I should be in the top 10 maybe :P... I'm excited!

    Great news Maliciant, i'll be attending my Babe's interview too..........i really can't wait to see my Angel (F) Congrats again and best of luck on the interview.

    :help: pls guys, some help will be appreciated, does NVC process K1 files just like k3? because we are kind of lost right now, we don't know the next step(s) from here, pls :help:

    First of all, Congratulation on your approval and welcome aboard. I am not sure if k1 is process the same way as k3 at nvc, but I assume they do the same procedure. If you need more help on k1 process I think it would be good idea to start thread in k1 forum so, you get broad answer.

    Yader & sarah, i use to use rebtel, but i think rebtel doesn't show the phone number you call plus the rate to Nigeria cell phone is incredible unaffordable, that was when i switched to Nonoh (www.nonoh.net) the actually show full call logs, numbers you call, time of call, call duration, and even the call cost, plus you can print out your invoice i.e purchases for record, you pay in Euro though, but for me it really worth it, it proves me and my babe talks every single day :star:
