i sent mine january 20. while reading your post i thought that you already got an interview which made me excited i thot it was a goodnews that you got from DOS. i called them today too and heard the same thing that there's no interview yet. we should keep in touch coz we might go on the same day on our interview.

im goin to have my medical exam tomorow. do i need to fast or not eat before that?

i dont know what is the lowest monthly plan for FIDO but il try to ask and maybe thats a good option than paying the cancellation fee.

they said they will charge me 20 a month for the remaining months or for a maximum of 400dollars. i need to pay 360 for the remaining months.#######!

maybe i can try to talk to them and just let me out. haha

is it safe to make transfers without meeting the person? i found some websites where u can post info's on your phone and if somebody's interested they msge u. i receive a msge from someone and asking details about the plan and the fon. i msged back but he didnt reply anymore. maybe didnt find my fido plan interesting.

what if il change to the 15dollars a month plan. and just wait for it to finish.its cheaper by a hundred dollars if i do that.

if i dont pay the cancellation or whatver, will it show in my credit report? so far i got good credit history. does US look after credit history in canada?

i have a 3yr contract with fido and if ever i will be granted the visa in May, i still have 18months left on the contract. i called fido and they said that i can terminate it but i need to pay 20dollars for each remaining month. another option is to transfer theaccount to another person. i got nobody to transfer the account to.

any idea how to deal with this thing? thanks

they gave out april interviews for CR1 applications. someone has the schedule on april 24. im expecting mine to be May or June. i emailed them and they told me that it shoudn't be long and i will be given the schedule the soonest. i hope they are being honest with that one.

poprocks - after i read your post here about emailing them regarding the interview schedule, i tried my luck and went ahead and email montreal requesting an interview april or early May. i emailed them at 2pm and got a reply at 4pm.here's the reply:

Unfortunately it shouldn’t be much longer. You are currently on a waiting list to be scheduled soonest.

mine was... You are still in the waiting list for an interview date. it make take 3-4months. i sent back packet 3 jan. 20, 2009.

just called DOS and they said there is no interview schedule set on our case yet. i think montreal will finish all those people that will have their interviews this march and april.

that is the phone number of Department of State where you can get information regarding your case e.g. status of the case. so far all i hear from them is im still in the waiting list. i call them twice a week. lol

3 days after i sent my packet 3, i emailed them if i submitted all the requirements they needed, and i got a reply saying that everything is complete and im now n the waiting list. try to email again maybe ul get a nicer operator who will answer your question.

Hi all! Just thought I'd introduce myself. Just received our NOA2 after seven months of waiting... woohoo! I'm not looking forward to waiting on Montreal, but I'm so happy that we finally have our NOA2, I don't care!

DS160 and DS156 is the same.. so u get the 156K and 230 forms on the packet 3.

i usually email them and try to email them in the afternoon coz they tend to reply faster,like in an hour or so. maybe its just luck but it happens to me few times.

they send it to you thats why you are required to bring an express post envelope.

ahmmmm... isnt it DS 160 and DS 156 the same???

and u send back ds230 part 1 and the checklist?

i emailed them and they say they got everything that they need and im on the waiting list. does that mean im good to go and just wait for my appointment date and didnt lack anything?

i read somewhere the USCIS page that the confirmation receipt is important coz it has the barcode that they need to bring out your file.i dont know if this is right, correct me if im wrong.

i think u can do it again and submit ds160 and print the confirmation page so at least u are sure that u got something to show them up on your interview.

lol! we got the same thought about fire! like i was so anxious that i would want to bring all my documents everywhere i go!

i read again the instruction in the packet 3 and it says that you need to complete the form and print 2 copies including the confirmation receipt! but i printed 2 copies only of the confirmation page! sucks!

i dont know if i screwed up with this or what...

question: do u need to print out the DS160 online that u answered? or just the confirmation receipt?

We're doing a K-1 and awaiting our interview date in Montreal, we are figuring towards the end of April, first of May. Good luck!

this waiting is excruciating

im still in the waiting list, just got their email.... im unpatiently waiting for interview schedule.

the best way to email montreal is 3-4 pm. i observe that whenever i email them at that times, i get the reply after 30 mins to an hour. i dont think its coincidence coz i get reply from them. maybe about 6x that i did.lol..i hope they wont spam me or block me .lol

anyone out there waiting for their interviews? i was hoping to get it april but i saw one VJer that has already a schedule for CR1 on april 16. they're already giving dates on april...so prolly il get mine MAY???? hope not!!!!!!!!

i received packet 3 twice. the second, i received after them confirming that they got the packet 3 that i sent back to them. they are not so roganized

wow congrats! looks like im the only one waiting for an interview date...oh well.. gotta take care of my vaccines first and do my medical exam.
