Congrats! My husband's interview will have been 5 months on the 7th of April. We are (in)patiently waiting and wondering why the hold up. Before we left the Co said enjoy your life in the US. So we thought we had it in the bag. Fast forward til today, still no descion.

You can call the service number 1-800-375-5283 and ask to talk a higher representative. You can also contact your congressperson in your area to find out what is going on. Your signature states they mailed you a further interview notice, then you should expect another Stokes interview anytime. You need to make sure you have more persuasive evidences to prove an on-going co-mingling relationship, it is clearly they don't trust your marriage. Good luck.
don't you think if they wanted another interview we'd have been called by now. 5 months is a long time to go by without any kind of activity expecially if there is some sort of disbeleif!

Does anyone have another phone number to call to see what is goin on with my husband's pending green card. Its been 5 months since the interview and we haven't heard a word.

Morning Mena! Had to take my car in this morning to have it looked at, we have a whiney sound in the transmission and i'm really scared that it will have to have the transmission rebuilt. The weather here is fanaminal! We've had temps in the 70s and 80s away from Lake Michigan! All my bulbs are up some are even flowering. And my rose bushes are budding. Its unreal!!!

It is really nice to read all this. This is my second go at a MENA marriage. And this one is so different from the first one, I can't even tell ya. My husband was here before about 12 years ago, so his adjustment to our civilization was a breeze for him. Even tho at times he will question something, he pretty much gets it all. The worse part of our marriage is him not working and me losing my job a month ago. Things have been so tight for us without the help of his family I don't know where we would be. Alhumdulilah! And the waiting for his green card has been stressful. ITs been 4 months today since our interview and we are in AP. Inshallah, I hope we get his card soon and he finds a job. I love spending most of my time with him but sometimes 24 hours a day 7 days a week can get on anyone's nerves. Thank God I love him like i do!

They were locked only on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
And here is your
It's good to see you too Jax.
I'm just waiting for either the originator of the idea or someone seeking advice to start the thread.
Love and miss the old threads where the cat fights would happen! Bought some great action to our days of waiting!

I'm so sorry. I pray you find some sort of happiness and no that it isn't just the MENA men that do this. Although the others are here legally. They cheat too.

Mine's been home almost a year and still no job

My previous post was meant for "m_a_ibraheem" which is why I quoted them, to avoid confusion.
Sorry the previous poster has me highly upset!

This whole thread is a mess but I'd just like to suggest, PLEASE meet in person before deciding to marry. Knowing a person online is very, very different than having a relationship in person. And please don't come to the US on a tourist visa with intent to marry. That's immigration fraud and illegal.
Oy
My husband didn't come with intent to marry. he was already here when we met and we doing everything the legal way. Your right this thread is a mess and some people need to know that they are trying to F___ up other's lives with their accusatory remarks instead of talking to the right person!

Have you tried to take him to a public hospital for individuals that do not have insurance. I'm not sure which state ur in but the govermnent has to have medical help in every state for people that can not or do not have insurance. I know IL has it. Its a extreamly long wait time but it's there... Are you employeed? if so have you tried to add him on ur insurance plan????
You are married and he doesn't work so if he has health issues why not add your spouse to ur insurance?
Cuz I"m disabled and don't have insurance for him thats why i can't ad him. He isn't allowed to be on state insurance!

Obviously they have some concerns about the validity of the relationship and if I remember your history correctly you will have a hard time with the upcoming Stokes.
I don't have any clue to what you are talking about Besty!
-
It's probably more likely you'll get a second interview where you will be separated ("Stokes") than a home visit, but that is a possibility as well.
I don't care if they do a home visit, or even a stokes. But the biggest problem is my husband is having medical issues and he don't work and i have no insurance and he wants to go back home to go to the doctor. We were advised for him not to leave the country even wih his advanced parole cause they may no let him back in
-
Wow that's crazy. Be ready for a home visit. God bless you and good luck.
do they really do that?

We had my husband's interview back in November and hadn't heard anything for a while, so at the beginning of this month we went for an info pass and they couldn't tell us anything. today we get a letter saying that they are questioning it and sent it on for further review. And they gave no indication of a timeline. I'm scared, really scared!

e1Happy Belated New Year! Happy Chinese New Year! Happy Hump Day! Happy one year anniversary of the start of the Egyptian Revolution!
Today is dh's birthday. Also known as "not a big a deal day" according to him. So in honor of not-a-big-deal-day I'm making him koshary and a german chocolate cake.
Happy Birthday Waleed! May you have many many more!

We filed in July for AOS off tourist visa. His interview was November 7 and by December we still hadn't heard a word. So the beginning of this month we went for Info Pass and they had nothing to tell us. So we waited a few more weeks and I contacted the congressman's office, today I got the same answer. Still pending what can we do next, its been almost 3 months since his interview and because we have no insurance and he has medical issues and wants to go back home to take care of things.
