It turns out my touch was actually an approval! I was signed up for email notifications but I never received one (I bet it went into my junk mail folder). Anyway, I decided to check by receipt number and it said this:
Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On August 10, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
I got approved for both the I-129F and the I-130.
I'm still in shock right now and can't believe its finally been approved! I hope this means more approvals soon for everyone else still waiting!
Off to fill out my timeline...

My file both 129F and 130 has been touched today .........Hopefully some good news ...just praying to god.

I got touched today! I hope this means an approval soon! Come on VSC!

At the rate of one a week, my petition will be approved in about 74 weeks per Igor's list. VSC rocks.
I feel the same way! I'm trying to stay positive but its really difficult.

Congrats!!!! I had touches on 3/13 and 5/5 too! Keep em coming VSC!!!

Oh oops! I was looking in the K1 section. Thanks for your help!

What I can see, no approvals yesterday and today.. I had hope this month going to be a great month for Vermont applicants. Or?
2 K1s so far out of VSC this week
0 K3s

I had no idea there was another data sheet for tracking k3's. How do I go about getting added to this one? I'm already on another spreadsheet tracking the data, but would like to be added to this as well.
Thanks!

It is with great concern and promise that I must report the following:
Today, I ( we) fired our attorney, and have decided to proceed without him.
We have had an approved I130 since 4/08 and he has refused to pursue it, insisting that the K-3 would be faster.
Our 129F (K3) was never approved. After much discussion with USCIS, various attorneys, and my congressman, I ( we ) have decided that for what ever reason, our attny wasn't in our best interest, so we fired him, and sent the papers to NVS stating that. We have lost 3 months and refuse to waste any more time with him. Pray for us...
Henry and Vilma
So your I-130 got approved before your I-129F? How strange! They generally get approved at the same time. I guess it is best to pursue the I-130 route then. Sorry to hear all that time was wasted. At least you are now proceeding with it and still not waiting. I am still waiting unfortunately.
Good luck with the rest of your journey!

Congrats! I hope you are right that there will be more approvals soon!

Congrats!!!! I guess VSC is moving!
You received your I-129F NOA1 the same day as me. I hope this means I will be hearing something soon!
Good luck with the rest of your journey!

Congratulations!!! I just saw your approval. I was wondering about it because you said you had touches earlier this week! This really gives the rest of us hope that VSC is doing something. We actually have pretty similar timelines especially with the touches. I'm hoping to hear something really soon. Again, congrats!

Looking through the spreadsheet for VSC K-3, something caught my attention. I was looking at the touches. I see "groups" of touches. I see alot between 5/2 and 5/7. Then they seem to disappear until 6/16 thru 6/23 then disappear again. I've read posts on here that they work on one type of petition for awhile, and then a different type for awhile. This data seems to support that, unless they get 5 week vacations. I know I'm probably gonna drive myself crazy trying to make sense out of all this, but I have nothing better to do. Wonder if the K-1s and IR-1/CR-1s show touches in those 5 weeks.
I noticed the same thing about the 5/2 through 5/7 touches, seeing as I'm included. I've been trying to make sense of it...I've also noticed a couple of people getting approvals that had touches during this time... (Heaven, Briff2000), and Cuppa just got an RFE... Again, probably wishful thinking on my part... But would like to think they are moving on these...
I'm also trying to figure this one out because I noticed the people that have filed around the same time as me have touches around the same time. Its strange! They must work on certain groups at the same time. I haven't received anymore touches though. Anyone in February receive a recent touch?

Could you please add me as well? My timeline is linked here in VJ. Thanks so much!

Congrats! i guess the VSC is moving along

yay! Congrats!

Congrats!!!

Congrats! Its good to know that they're processing cases over at the VSC.

Congratulations!

Yea I was wondering the same thing. I've been noticing that a lot of people on this board that have petitions at CSC are getting NOA2's and us at the VSC haven't heard anything.
-
You all should sit patiently. I had filed my I-130 in December 2007 and my I-129F petition in February 2008 and am still waiting. I would imagine that it would take about another 4 to 5 weeks or so for most of us February filers to see any approvals. This is just my estimate based on observing wait times over the 7 months or so.
Good luck to us all.

Thanks for the advice Fahad!

Hi All,
I just found this forum after finding this website trying to research visa timelines. I have filed my I-130 and I-129F for my husband. This is my current timeline so far:
I-130:
Received NOA1 February 20, 2008
Case Updated May 5, 2008 (I think you guys call this a "touch")
I-129F:
Received NOA1 February 28, 2008
Case Updated March 13, 2008
Oh and my case is at the VSC.
I guess my question is, have any of you other February filers received an NOA2 yet for your I-129F or I-130? Maybe I'm being impatient but I thought maybe I would hear something by now.
Thanks in advance for your help!
